it is good, my son hardly let it go from morning .

Compared to my previous android and win10 tablets, the Amazon layer on android sucks. It's slow and limits most functions. My kids have such a hard time just accessing their games and cartoons.

This tablet has served its purpose for my grandson. He really likes the tablet and the protective cover really works becaue he has dropped it twice with no issues. Just need to find a way to add more android applications instead of using freetime.

This tablet is very great for kids the protection case is very well made my daughter dropped hers a lot and it's been a year and a half and it's in still one peace totally awesome

I read so many great reviews and then you have all the awesome benefits such as the guarantee, free 1 yr subscription to the videos, and personlization features. I bought it specifically for my children stay entertained during a family trip and my kids have not let it go since, they love it.

As a faithful apple product user. The kindle doesn't hold a candle to iPads. This was a present for a 5 year old, the constant ads that pop up are very frustrating. The App Store is a joke. But the case that came with it is bomb proof.

great size tablet for my little grand child. Keeps her off mine. she is two and a half and knows how to charge it already when its "broken". great item and love the child lock.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughters birthday and was really impressed by all the age appropriate apps on it. It helped teach her her colors, abc's, and some songs! We loved it so much we bought the same one for my older daughter when her other tablet broke. It's perfect for all ages!

Everything was great for about a month then all the services that were supposed to come free for a year were gone. Now I will have to call back Amazon to reevaluate the services that were supposed to be included for a year.

These tablets come riddled with problems. App icons disappear when not in a WiFi area, just playing games fills up the internal memory in no time. The dimming feature gets stuck on the lowest setting at times, which can only be fixed with a hard reset. The fire is super slow at all times. I've spent more time working on these tablets than my two children have played on them. I highly do not recommend them to anyone.

I purchased 2 kids tablets for my nieces because it was my 2 yr old's niece's birthday recently and she has an older sister who is 3 yrs old. Just thought it would be best to give 2 tablets so there's no sibling rivalry.

Bought it for my 3 yr old granddaughter. Loved that it has two separate accounts- for parent and child. No purchases can be made from child mode. Numerous games, videos, and educational apps, plus more. Highly recommended!

Was bought for toddler so works for the purpose as he is enjoying the colors and movements on the screen when he pushes and taps. Hopefully he will still have it once he's old enough to know how to actually use it well

I got this for my niece... Who has broken every tablet I've bought her. I was just about to give up on tablets but it really helps with her cerebral palsy side effects. It calms her and she's happy learning with new apps. It's been in her hands for a few weeks and it's still alive.

Great value for the hardware and a year of the Freetime software/service. Purchased for a preschooler, so I wanted something she could beat up and still work. Software takes a little bit of getting used to, but offers a great experience, especially if you're an Amazon Prime Member.

My daughter LOVES her Amazon tablet. Easy for her to operate. Switches from her audio books to cartoons with ease. The tough case also keeps it protected during the many drops and fumbles it goes through everyday.

Kindle fire is a dual purpose tablet for me. Daytime my helper use it for play kindle freetime contents, At night i use it for reading. Only drawback it kindle some application are location or country specific. Most of Kids contents in freetime doesnt work outside the US

My son loves watching his videos and playing games using Freetime. However setting up the proper subscription was a bit of a hassle, seeing as there are no real instructions or details telling you what to do. Still it's nice and the case has kept the tablet very safe.
