 just got this a few days ago, and very impressed with how lightweight it is! The device has taken all the best things and compacted it into a stick that take up minimal space.

I have the old Roku Stick and I wanted an upgrade, so I got the Amazon Fire TV, it's a better quality product than the Roku, however the Roku is good for my minimally used tv.

With solid improvements in the CPU, GPU, Codec, RAM, & unit construction, the new FireTV 3 is a great improvement from the 2nd Gen FireTV Stick. These are using the new Amlogic S905 chipset. A quad-core processor clocking in way above the previous Firesticks, and as good/better than the FireTV box(2015 edition). The new GPU cranks out 4k UHD video, perfect for the shiny new wall ornament you picked up at the last Sale at Best Buy. ;) These require a wifi Internet connection. They are compatible with OTG Ethernet adapters if you'd like to go with a hard line connection. Screen Mirroring is not available on this device.

I recently bought an LG OLED TV (also from Best Buy) and was looking for 4K streaming device and found the Fire TV on sale at Best Buy. I love the selection of 4K content.

I picked this up to use with an older non smart tv and am very pleased with purchase. Easy and efficient upgrade to any non smart tv. Cool features and very user friendly

I upgraded from an older fire stick and this has been nice so far. There’s a lot of content to choose from if you are a Prime member. It is faster than previous stick.

love it has more room then the fire stick picture comes in very clear easy to program

Bought this for family gift. played with it for hours! such a great thing to use to put the internet on your TV and watch and stream movies and TV shows! must buy !!

I have this hooked up to my 4k tv and compared to my old firestick, there is a noticeable difference when streaming certain 4k/hdr shows on Netflix and amazon prime.

This item changed a TV that went virtually unused! It is awesome how many shows you can watch. But disappointing that there are some apps you can’t use without monthly subscriptions or if your cable provider will allow you.

I already own the Fire Stick and two Apple TV boxes but wanted to move to into 4k. I was looking at Apple's version but for over 100 bucks less I went with Fire TV.

My friend introduced this to me and once the setup was completed, oh my what great picture quality it has and will not look in any other direction for anything less

Purchased to use with older TV that was not a smart TV so I could view Youtube, Amazon, and others. Works great and I love the ease of use of Ipad App to control.

my goal was to cut the cord and view my remote dvr via slingbox. having done this for 20 years with all flavor of the slingbox, I am trying all flavors of firetv, roku sticks and chromecast. trh fire tv 4k not only works ok, but using the nbcsn and foxsportgo apps there are several PIP options allowing viewing 2 side by side or embedded programs from fox. thus could watch 2 fifa soccer feeds at once or mix and match with nascar or golf. Back to the slingbox theme, the firetv controls are a little different that running a slinbox app on an android or desktop or ipad, but response times delay seems shorter and navigation is reasonable. There can be annoying messages about HD quality (good better best) that you can suppress. Right now the competition does not even run. Don't even consider Chromecast. If the ipad sling app sees a chromecast device (4k or reg) on the network, when selected they fail with an "unable to stream" error. the 4k chromecast touts a wired feature that you can only setup wirelessly. By chance, days later, I plugged in the ethernet and I did see the 4k device show up, but the sling apps still cannot cast to it. For giggles I had an old chromecast audio and a pair of unused BOSe speakers that I hooked up. That effort was equally disappointing, perhaps I u use a particular music app that is enabled specifically for the google device It might work. As a former software person, google should stick to its advertising knitting instead of having apologies on its website about "we're looking into this..we know if fails" I may still be able to return the stuff, but google has just discounted by another $10, by the end of the summer google chromecasts will be free, and they do work to cast desktop youtube to tv, proprietary stuff, just nothing open. Perhaps after testing , I will get into other firetv features like voice. It is notable that if u ask alexa "what's on my shopping list" it will display on the tv.

I purchased this for a friend of mine. We connected it to the TV and created an amazon account and connected the device to the wifi and now we can download apps and watch TV and movies. And I love the mic feature on the remote to do searches by voice. And there is such a huge variety of apps out there to use. This device is Awesome!!

Had original fire stick. This one is way quicker. The wifi is great like the last. You can really tell a difference when going from app to app. Much faster.

Bought this new Amazon Stick because my older version stick would overheat. Attached it my TV and it fired right up; doesn't overheat and runs like a champ.

Works very well. A little fast than the 2nd gen Fire Stick. But not as good as the 2nd gen Fire TV. Not sure if it’s worth the extra $30 over the Fire Stick

I have the amazon fire stick and I live it and decided to get the fire tv because of the 4K context on it work Great all the 4K content is amazing love it

Had 2016 Fire Stick and needed to upgrade to Fire TV 4k to take advantage of all upgrades in the Fire TV and my 4k TV and picture is 100% better. Love it
