After buying my HDX for myself for Christmas, I wonder why I waited so long. Except for printing, I don't need to get on my desktop. That could change too, when I decide to switch to wireless printing. I read books, I play Words With Friends with family and a couple of others, I check out some blogs and other Websites I frequent, and I'm sharpening my Spanish! I am very satisfied with my purchase and feel it was worth every penny.

This is a nice little tablet for the price. The graphics and screen are sharp and clear. The touchscreen is not quite as responsive as my iPad, but it cost less, too. I use it to read books, watch movies, and do family history. Having Amazon Prime and the Kindle Owner's Lending Library are pluses. Just wish you could get more than one book per month. I am also trying Kindle Unlimited, but probably will not continue after the free 30 day trial. My only complaint is that the button cover for the power switch popped off. I found it on the counter, but didn't realize what it was, so I threw it away. It still works, and was probably caused by the hard case that I put on it.

I love my Kindle! It is small but mighty! I had the original and 2nd generation Fires. This is by far the best!

The Kindle has replaced the laptop for email and reading and listening to music, my three most common online activities. The screen resolution is **fantastic** -- perfect for looking at objects in online museum collections, or examining photos close up. The Kindle's light, easy to hold, packs easily in my purse, and the battery is a good long-life one. Less time plugged in. Only beefs? I can't use Google Play at all, or Google Drive easily. Those are real problems because the research documents I keep in the cloud are hard to edit, and I cannot download the historical documents and books that make up the bulk of my leisure reading, and which are often on Google books. Thank goodness archive.org has some of them and has a Kindle download option. Otherwise, am absurdly happy with this little dreamboat of super utility.

I love the size, I can easily fit it in my purse. I download school books on it. I use it take notes in class.

I am in love with my new kindle. I loved the Kindle fire but the hdx is amazing. The picture is so vivd and the speed is wonderful as well.

Small enough to store in tight places in a carry bag but has outstanding visual screen quality.

This is our 2nd Amazon Kindle Fire purchase, I've had the HD 7" for several years now and do enjoy it. Only 2 negative issue I have, one is the glare issue, the other is turning off the power only to discover it never turned off and I have to recharge the device. My husband is now using the KF HDX 7" and he really likes it's screen size especially when reading his news, sports, weather apps. Overall, we are pleased.

I love my Kindle Fire HD. The picture is great and the battery life is long too.

Fast and clear and easy to use and weighs next to nothing

This is my second Fire and I am very impressed. So far everything is great: fast, picture is clear, crisp, ease of use.

I think this a great device that anybody can use. Its very easy to use and seems very durable too. The picture quality is great when u are watching a movie and also great for reading and playing games

This replaced my old Kindle that required a separate light source. I loved that Kindle but I needed something with a little more capability for work and school. The HDX is a great reader, internet search and SOME apps. In many instances, it can replace my iPAD for basic things. It has some limitations. There is not nearly as many apps or software functions as iPAD. This version does NOT have free Internet as did my previous version. Not a big deal, but it was a nice feature. Also, it includes a camera, but the lens is pointed at the user rather than away from them, so if you take a picture, you take it of yourself. If you turn the Kindle around, you can't see what you are taking a picture of....not well thought out. Quick to learn how to use and I like the enhanced capabilities for the reader such as being able to download notes. Great price, great product, but will NOT replace your iPAD.

this is the perfect tablet if you don't want to spend as much as an iPad is. Easy to use. Not too heavy. Just perfect

I purchased the kindle HDX and love it. I don't even use my laptop any more. Everything I do on the pc can be done on my kindle and so much faster. The Amazon music is so super easy to put on my kindle as well and it has a great picture. The only thing I was disappointed about was the best buy web site showed my particular kindle as having a front and rear facing camera but it doesn't, only a front facing camera which actually takes pretty decent pictures.

I purchased the Kindle a year ago for my girls. They absolutely love it. The screen is great. There is a wide variety of apps to choose from. It is easy to set up and operate. And it keeps them occupied. I will probably purchase another one soon so they won't keep arguing over whose turn it is to use it.

I totally love my kindle!! I actually love all my kindles that I have owned. If I was to buy someone their first tablet I would buy them a kindle. I believe it is a great first time learner device for anyone. You can do everything on a kindle plus more! If you don't own one then you must get one.

Fast downloads make the tablet very enjoyable. Easy to use, light weight and durable. Highly recommended
