Nice quality product. Necessary, and not overpriced. Many devices still require a USB input, while my MacBook Pro M2 has a USB-C port. I used this to connect a video capture device to my Mac and it worked well.

Works as expected, arrived in a timely manner. I needed a second cord to transfer photos to external hard drive.

I purchased a new Macbook Pro and, the great news is, it comes with 4 USB ports! However Apple, in its usual style, changed the connection from the standard USB to USB c - so none of my flash drives would connect. This adapter is a lifesaver for those of us who need to connect old flash drives / external back ups to the new Macbook Pro! I spent the extra money and bought the Apple adapter with the USB port as i knew this would increase the likelihood that it would work 'trouble free' . . . . And, so far, this has worked flawlessly and I have had no issues using it. If you are in the same situation as i am, and need an adapter to use USB products, this is the perfect solution!

Although this adapter may appear quite expensive, the utility it offers in terms of a cabled USB-A port from your USB-C device cannot be overlooked, as the cable allows you to put less stress on your USB-C ports unlike other adapters. This means that your device will not hang off the port, creating stress and potential damage. Better to replace a $20 adapter than a $2500 laptop.

My Apple decided not to put a USB 3.0 on the MacBook Air, I don't know, so an adapter is necessary. This works well for my needs. Now I can plug in a thumb drive, computer, other peripheral or a USB Hub and plug them all in at the same time. Has worked perfectly for my current needs, although I am looking at some different for when I travel for photography.

I love this little device but hate that I need it! I have so many standard usb accessories that I couldn’t use on my new MacBook Pro since it only has usb type c ports. This one device lets me use my usb devices easily and is durable enough to last for years to come. It would be nice if apple included one of these in each MacBook purchase as they are well aware you will more than likely need it often.

There isn't much to say about these - they're basic converters by Apple and as such have the "Apple tax" attached to them. They work well and I have found Apple branded cables and converters to hold up better for the most part than the cheaper off-name branded items. Another way to go is to get a hub that will allow you to connect multiple types of cables too. I have one that does HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C. However sometimes you need to plug something directly into the laptop. These work.
