At first I was skeptical if I would use the Apple Watch very much since I have my phone, but it's easier to check things quickly on. I like that I can change bands also. Love the design, look, and all the features! Overall I love my Apple Watch!

I bought it for the fitness tracking capabilities, especially the heart rate. It was a great decision as I do not need the new features of the Series 2. The performance of the Series 1 with the upgraded processor is excellent. If you have similar needs to mine, then you can save the money as well. If you are reluctant to spend so much money on a watch, as I was about the Series 2, then do yourself a favor and read this review. The differences that I considered included the following Series 2 features not available on the Series 1: built-in GPS, brighter display, and water resistance. I don’t need the integrated GPS in the watch for I will always have my phone with me when I need GPS. I won’t swim or shower with the phone. I took a chance that the display could be readable when I needed it in sunlight and I was correct.

I've kept the Apple Watch in mind ever since its original release, but could never justify the $399 price tag. Didn't seem like a "necessity". With the price drop on the Series 1 and a competitor price match, $229 before additional Best Buy rewards and gift cards I had from Christmas, I was finally convinced it was time to go for it. I really enjoy dictating texts into the watch, the activity app tracking daily steps, etc., and even the integration with the new AirPods. As far as choosing between Series 1 and Series 2, I couldn't see any reason to go for the more expensive Series 2 unless you are an avid swimmer or if you really don't want to bring your phone while exercising with the built in GPS. All in all the Apple Watch is a fun extension of your iPhone with the added benefit of an activity tracker.

Perfect extension of my phone while at work. Discrete when you can't take your phone out of your pocket and get an incoming call, text, email, etc. Didn't go for Series 2 since I don't plan to go swimming, I don't exercise so don't require the GSP, and I don't mind the 2x brighter display since I can see this screen perfectly out in the sun. Battery life is amazing, get's me through my whole 8 hr shift at work and then some. I did purchase the Zagg HD Clear Shield (SKU: 6135039), X-Doria Defense Edge Case (SKU: 5708835), X-Doria Mesh Watch Strap (SKU: 450423) and finally the Belkin PowerHouse Charge Dock for Apple Watch + iPhone (SKU: 5507501). Perfect accessories to protect my purchase and charge it next to my iPhone. P.S. - Don't forget AppleCare+ to truly protect your investment. :D

I decided to go with this apple watch for two main reasons, price and the features of the Apple Watch gen 2 didn't really appeal to me. If you don't need gps or a waterproof watch, save yourself some money and go with this series.

Cool features and it's an Apple product so it's well-made. I was a little hesitant to buy one but ended up pulling the trigger not knowing if it be something I would actually use. I've come to love it it's very practical and helps me keep track of a lot of different things. I bought this one from Best Buy and bought the newer model for my wife

Purchased this watch and it has been working great. Haven’t had to worry about battery life either. Good choice for people who don’t mind the watch not being water proof and gps capabilities as with the 3 series.

I got this watch after my fitbit Alta broke. I loved my fitbit, but wanted something more advanced. I still wanted the fitness tracking, but I wanted something that looked better. It definitely does more than my fitbit did. It sends me text notifications, calls, emails, etc. The thing I don’t like is that i can’t track my sleep like the fitbit. However, I think the steps are more accurate and it measures success on more than steps. For example, it wants you to stand at least once for 12 hours and it wants you better to get in 30 min of exercise. It counts exercise based on your heart rate, I think, so you could be walking brskly and it would count that as exercise. I’ve had this watch for almost a year now.

This watch is great for people always on the go. With notifications that allow you to read texts, emails, or see who messaged you on social media it allows you to decide what needs answered now and what can wait. It also has great features like “do not disturb” that allow you to turn of notifications if you are in a meeting.

I have one, the smaller ladies model, and I bought this one for my best friend for Christmas. He is very, very pleased! If you don't intend to go swimming with it on, and don't care about GPS on your watch, since you already have it on your iPhone anyway, the Apple Watch Series 1 is the best Smart Watch you can buy for about 300.00. If GPS and absolute waterproof are features that are important to you, then Series 2 is your best choice. This model is still water resistant within reason, of course, and we don't go deep sea diving,so that is not an issue with us anyway. The voice texting works quite well, much better than I expected, actually. I have used that feature quite a bit and am pleased with the convenience and reliability.

I bought this for my 15 year old daughter. She loves it. She was actually excited to get to athletics and run the mile. Now I can communicate with her even while she’s cheering. It’s the perfect way to keep in touch no matter where she is. The ability to create custom default replies are fun and convenient too.

The popularity of the Apple Watch has really gone up since then new series 3 came out. For me, I didn’t need the waterproofing, gps, or cellular so the series 1 Watch is enough for me. But I definitely see the value in the cellular watches so you don’t need to have your phone on you go receive your notifications.

This watch has been wonderful as a birthday gift for my husband. He cannot carry his phone with him at work, so it allows him to know when he is receiving texts and calls and to answer them while he is working. He also loves the Activity functions and the ability to access other apps from his watch.

I bought this watch because I was going into grad school. I wanted to be able to write on my calendar with my Mac and then be notified of things that would be due on my watch. The battery life is good for a smart watch I can wear it the whole day and push it to two days if I really wanted to. Charge time is quick. However, it’s not waterproof. I bought the first generation and it is water resistant so you can wash your hands but I wouldn’t advise going swimming with it. Other than that you can text from it and you can answer calls with excellent sound quality I’ve been told from people who are receiving my audio. I would definitely recommend and I already have

This is something I really grappled with because of the cost and I also didn't really know how it would integrate into my life. I worried about cost because just like any technology like this, it is going to be obsolete at some point. So you spend $300+ on something that you are going to have to replace after a few years of owning it. That is still something that I'm not too happy about. However, it was at the point where I just really wanted it and wanted to see what it could do for me, personally. I decided to buy it and would return it if it was something that I couldn't stand. Prior to purchasing it, I watched as many Youtube videos and talked to as people as I could who had one to get a better idea of if it was right for me. Since I have owned it, I found that you can watch as many video reviews and talk to as many people as you want but you really won't know how it will integrate into your life until you try it for yourself. For me, I found that it enhances the entire experience of being on my phone. In fact, another one of my concerns was that I was going to be more "connected" but I personally find that I am actually less "connected" because I'm not pulling my phone out of my pocket every time I get a message to see if its worth responding to. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product both as a fitness tracker and as a smartwatch. Obviously, there are things that I would like to be a little bit better but that could be said about anything.

First let me say that I received this as a gift and I never intended to purchase one. With that in mind, this is a perfect gift because I think a lot of people don't imagine themselves using it enough to justify the cost. I am not someone who routinely buys $$$ watches and for me this replaced a $25 Time I bought a couple of years ago and a Fossil watch that was my "day off watch." It is comfortable to wear with the included wrist band, which I have not changed. The controls are simple and intuitive, although it is easy to active on accident. My 3 month old daughter likes to hold onto it when I'm holding her, and afterwards I find that I have started an excercise session, checked the hourly forecast, and started a breathing exercise. Now for usefulness: the ability to use the built in microphone to reply to texts is great, and works very well. Probably better than asking Siri to text someone. If answering a call with it the speaker is very quiet, but this is still a handy feature for times where your daughter just fell asleep in your arms and you can't reach your phone. Navigation was one feature that surprised me because it actually vibrates to let you know your turn is coming up before Siri tells you (something that has always come too late), and a glance at your watch reminds you of your next turn and how far away it is. This is useful for me because I do not keep my phone in my field of view when I drive. The breathe app is a little annoying, the heart rate monitor is handy but I have yet to double check it's accuracy. The fitness tracker circles are a neat way to know where you are at in your day at a quick glance. I use my calendar for work a lot and love that I get notifications on my watch as well as calendar invites. I have a Chevy truck with remote start and the new app is watch compatible so I can start my truck from my watch. My coworkers joke that I'm trying to be like James Bond, but I'm not sure that fits since I'm starting a Chevy truck instead of an Aston Martin, I guess that's more like Jimmy Bond.

This watch is by far the best smart watch. I have owned 3 other smart watches from various companies and hadn't found the right one until now. The combination of the square face with the classic round dial on the side make it very user friendly. I love having the option of going to my recent apps as well as the main "home screen". All with the touch of a button. I was worried the screen wouldn't be durable, but boy was I wrong. I don't have a screen protector on and I am constantly bumping into rough metal objects and there isn't a scratch! Battery life is good, lasts the day and recharge while I sleep.

I wear my Apple Watch daily. I love it. I am a dental hygienist and this watch allows me not contaminate my phone and see who is calling by simply glancing at my wrist. I love the fact that you can use it as a camera remote when taking group pictures and that you can control pretty much the entire watch and apps with the Watch app on my phone. I buy watch bands on Amazon to save money, they work great! Glad I bought the bigger face though because I have big hands and I like the look. To me, it's slightly overpriced, as with all Apple products but it was still a great buy, I would recommend the Apple Watch!

I have been an avid android user for years with a dabble here and there with an ios device from time to time, but I never kept them long. I decided it was time for a permanent switch over to iPhone and knew that my moto 360 wouldn't work well with it, so I bought the series 1 apple watch. I love this device, more than I thought I would. It is comfortable to wear all day, it keeps accurate time (why wouldn't it though lol), it allows me to track my fitness and activities, as well as provide me notifications that come in so I can quickly respond to them. This device is truly a great piece of technology.
