From a series 5 to the Ultra 2

I purchased this after having the apple watch series 5 for some time (4+ years). This is quite the jump from that series (obviously). The overall reason I purchased this one over the series 9 was the durability and rugged style. I am not an extreme athlete or anything, but I do weight train regularly and go mountain biking, indoor rock climbing, hiking, and outdoor running, plus a few other recreational activities. I wanted something that could withstand all of those things, like my series 5 could, and then some. I wanted this to last longer than my previous series 5. I am also an itinerant employee meaning I travel to multiple schools / locations per day and need to be hands free for the safety of the students I work with. So I cannot have my phone in my hands while on the go. So getting notifications on a screen on my wrist was a must which is why I didn't go with a garmin watch or a whoop band which i also used to have. The larger size did make me very hesitant, but I am so thankful for the larger screen! I'm obsessed with it, especially while working. Emails and notifications are much easier to glance at while working. I have fairly small wrists and this watch is not too large or bulky in my opinion. I think any larger would turn me off to the size, but that's just because me wrists and hands are on the thinner side. I thought the size would bother me while weightlifting but it does not. I love it, such a great upgrade.

Excellent product. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a game-changer! The rugged design and titanium finish feel premium and durable, perfect for my outdoor adventures. The display is incredibly bright, even in direct sunlight, and the Double Tap gesture is so convenient when I’m on the move. The battery life is phenomenal, lasting me over two days with heavy use. I love the precise GPS tracking and the dive features, which make it a versatile companion for all my activities. Truly worth the investment for fitness enthusiasts and adventurers alike!

As an avid user of the Series 3 Apple Watch, transitioning to the Apple Watch Ultra 2 GPS + Cellular has been an absolute game-changer. The 49mm Titanium Case with Blue Alpine Loop (Medium) not only exudes sophistication but also delivers unparalleled functionality. First and foremost, the enhanced functionality of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is immediately noticeable. From seamless navigation to lightning-fast app response times, every interaction with the device feels smoother and more intuitive. The addition of GPS + Cellular capability provides newfound freedom, allowing me to stay connected even when my iPhone is out of reach. Whether it's sending a quick message or streaming music on the go, the convenience of cellular connectivity cannot be overstated. One of the standout features of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is its extended battery life. Coming from the Series 3, where battery anxiety was a constant concern, the Ultra 2's impressive battery longevity has been a revelation. With up to 3 days before needing charging, I no longer find myself constantly reaching for the charger throughout the day. This extended battery life has truly transformed the way I use my Apple Watch, allowing me to stay focused on my activities without worrying about running out of power. In addition to its functionality and battery life, the design of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is simply stunning. The Titanium Case with Blue Alpine Loop complements any outfit, whether I'm at the office or hitting the gym. The combination of durability and elegance makes it a standout accessory that seamlessly integrates into my lifestyle. Overall, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 GPS + Cellular has exceeded all expectations, delivering unmatched performance, style, and convenience. For anyone considering an upgrade from the Series 3, I wholeheartedly recommend making the switch – you won't be disappointed.

Had this watch for several months now and really like it. Battery life and larger screen are fantastic. Swapped out band to Trail Band as I think it’s the most comfortable. But love using this for my workout sessions and basic fitness tracking. Trying it with a case though it’s just a preference and not strict requirement since it’s well built. It’s an awesome watch.

I had thr Series 6 with cellular. I was needing a new watch for a while but I was holding off until this new generation came out. The battery life is AMAZING! I can go about two days on a charge which is great. I workout 4-5x a week and the big screen is great for my runs outside as well as the upgraded performance of the SiP. My old series 6 would stutter when doing apple fitness+ workouts streaking to my powerbeats pros. This one handles it like a champ and the added battery life means I dont have to throw it on the charger to get throigh the rest of the day. If you are in thr market and need a new Apple Watch then I woild recommend this one. It is quite big and thick so if you got small wrists maybe get the Series 9 instead.

This is my first apple watch and Ive been an avid user for fit bit. Wemt through 4 in a span of 4 years. That should say something about them. I decided to go with an apple watch because of having an Iphone. So far I like how it integrates with my phone funtions. Im going to start with the cons first. Cons so far from what I notice is. On workout mode if wrist detection is turned on it keeps pausing my workouts so I had to turn that off because it was very annoying having to stop my workout just to fix my watch. Otherwise there are more Pros for me. The way it integrates is amazing and you could download your music on to the watch and pair your airpods to it and leave your phone behind during a run. I got cell service so if an emergency comes up. Its all good to go. I do recommend it. The price is pretty steep for what it is. If you need all the rugged ness then go for it. If not just get the SE. I would just skip the series versions honestly. But would I recommend the ultra 2 if you want all the bells and whistles.

Great watch to have. It works well for the purposes. It has stylish outlooks. In the beginning, it might be little bit bulky when switching from 41mm watch to this. But after couple week wearing. It definitely worth the switch!

It is by far the best Apple Watch I have ever owned. My two previous models ran into battery problems fairly early on, and I would have to charge them before the end of the day. The Apple Watch Ultra can make it two full days without needing a charge. While I would like to see the battery life improved even more, this is good enough for me and I shouldn't have to replace it soon due to this.

Loving my Apple Watch Ultra 2

I upgraded from my Apple Watch Series 6 to the Apple Watch Ultra 2. I started having issues with my Series 6 holding a charge when I would run (running app & music going). Few things are more frustrating than being half way through a run and no more music or tracking your run, heartrate, etc. . With the Ultra 2 advertised as having a battery life 2x as long as the new Series 9, my hope is that long term it will still be holding more than enough charge to complete just about any task. Thus far even after a long run with my usual apps going there is hardly any battery drain. The Ultra 2 (49mm and thicker) is a bit "clunkier" than my Series 6 (44mm) or if I had gone with the Series 9 (45mm), but I really don't feel any difference with the weight and size on my wrist. Overall, I am loving it!

Solid watch. I held off upgrading to one when the first came out because of the color options. The new black titanium is beautiful. The only downside is the SpO2 lawsuit that prevents the version I bought from using the sensor.

I have gone through several Apple Watches and the Ultra is the best one for my 100 miles rides. I don’t have to worry about running out of battery near the end of my ride now. I have used the Garmin Fenix 6 for a year before the released of Ultra, but the ease of use with the Apple Ultra is far better in my opinion. The Garmin has a longer battery life (7 days), but the Ultra provides sufficient battery of over 20 hours.

High tech great watch! The watch unit itself is bulky and large for a woman, however it has great features that make it worth it- like a larger screen to be able to read and access apps. The battery life is great. It gives you the ability to wear your watch and track your sleep, it also charges quickly
