First let me say that this watch is for anyone, and not just for adventurers. I highly recommend this watch for anyone Why I bought this watch: 1. Battery: I bought this watch mainly for its battery life being improved by a lot. On average, I can get over 64 hours (2.5 days) on a single charge in normal mode. That’s with the blood oxygen, and wrist temperature being turned off because I don’t think it is necessary. In low power mode, I’d imagine I can get over 72 hours (3 days). *I should mention that the numbers mentioned above are without doing any workouts, but even when I do workouts, I get around 2 days. 2. Ruggedness: This watch is really difficult to beat up with its titanium casing around the watch, sapphire crystal glass on top, and a ceramic coating on the bottom where your vitals are taken. 3. Safety Features: I tend to do a lot of solo adventures, so the following below is great thing to have should I get lost or happen to need help. -Siren (86db) *It’s really loud lol -Compass Waypoints & Backtrack -Car Crash Detection 4. Big display is helpful for notifications and for typing messages. The picture attached is proof that you can get over 64 hours if you let it go down to 0%, even though mine is at 24%.

Worth the investment! I got the watch over the s8 due to the battery life and it does not disappoint one bit! The watch has been tremendously helpful for keeping tabs on emails, things scheduled into my calendar, and my health (e.g., tracking workouts, monitoring heart variability, sleep, etc.). This is the best watch I have ever own and this is my fourth one I have purchased it has a big screen so you can actually see what is displayed and read text without really stain to see it

Worked well while snorkeling in Hawaii. Also love the battery life. Being able to use bands from my prious apple watches is a bonus.

Great battery life and not as big as I thought it would feel.

This is by far one of the best watches Apple has came out in the past few years. The size isn’t too heavy as many people were complaining for me at least. The screen resolution and the huge screen definitely makes it so much better watch in the 45mm. The one thing I would recommend people be aware of it takes a while to get used to putting on the band the best way to do it is to connect it at the bottom of your wrist having your hand laying face down. The nice perk with the series 8 watches, as well as ultras that they all come with a Nike faceplates that were only exclusive to Nike in previous generations.

I purchased this despite not being an athlete. I bought it for the battery life, which is fantastic. I can get three days without charging. I love the size and the wayfinder face too.
