Great Router = Happy Family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple, quick setup and now my kids are receiving strong WiFi upstairs in their bedroom for streaming programs where before, they had little to no signal strength. Smart Home products are all connected and operating great on 4.2 MHz while phones, tablets & computers are running fast on 5.0 MHz. So happy with this product!

Better Than Renting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This combo modem/router is the way to go. Pays for itself in about a year or so, need to check your local fees. On top of that , if this device fails within the warranty period ( the extended warranty is cheap) you get a new one and still come out ahead. I've had this one over a year with no issues.

Has stable speeds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A lot of people say stay away from modem with built in router. In my case this is second modem with built in router and I have not have to even restart any of them since I bought. I bought one in almost year ago and 0 issues. I like it, my SP says I have 200mbs, but this thing rocks 230mbs wifi. so there you go

Easy to setup, fast speeds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the router to replace one that kept looking connection and didn't have capability for connection speeds. This router is handling the increased speeds and isn't looking connection. Only thing is, it won't work as replacement Cox phone modem, so had to retain that. That is a minor issue. So far, happy with product.

Works but having issues with firewall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modem works great and get great speeds but blocks a lot compared to my old modem and blocked communication between smart devices. Haven't had time to sit down to see what I have to do to fix, but was disappointed it did this.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was suggested by a Cox Cable employee. I got it, and have had no problems what so ever. I did have to get a Cox freebie telephone modem, because this router doesn't have that feature, but it all worked out just fine. No complaints at all.

Beats renting a modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the item for a couple months now, the only issue I have is with my phone, it wants the password for the wifi instead of automatically connecting unlike with my previous modem. I dont know if it is an issue with apple, or the modem, but it works fine for all my other devices.

Seems to work as well as item I replaced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cable company told me my Magnavox router was too old to use their faster service. Best Buy said this was best router for my needs. Average or below average use. It seems to need to be rebooted everytime I log in to computer. Speed seems similar to my 7 year old Magnavox router.

Very poor quality = drops the internet signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it due to the higher streamline speed. However, it drops the internet signal VERY often and I have to unplug it to get the signal back. I am going to return it and will get one of better quality and efficiency.

Works well so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router about six weeks ago and so far it works very well. I have cable and internet with Xfinity and I no longer wanted to rent their equipment. This works just fine and I’m glad I made the switch.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to troubleshoot one day as software had been updated and my wifi was not working anymore. Good wifi modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modem seems to be able to support three laptops using gigabit internet. Didn't have much choice, since I had to get one that was compatible with provider.

Failed expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up this model thinking itd be a great alternative to the leased equipment provided by Comcast even though it is a bit of a downgrade. Figured with the new price hike on leased equipment it wouldn't be long before i would break even. However, after a 1 hr call with tech support, they were unable to provision the modem and get me the speeds I was paying for. Something along the lines of the modem not updating the boot file with the correct info and reverting back to a default state. They scheduled a tech to come out, but after a bit of trouble shooting he was unable to do anything for me. He said it's possible I have a faulty unit so I went ahead and exchanged this unit for another one. I got home with a new one and tried again....No...didn't work, same thing happened and tech support had no idea what to do. I called the Arris support line to get their input and all they had me do was a factory reset and stated that if it didn't work I had yet another faulty unit. At this point I was frustrated because this had been going on for almost 2 weeks. Either I had 2 faulty units or someone somewhere messed up on the back end. So I decided to drop Arris and pick up a slightly more expensive Netgear unit. And much to my surprise, it worked flawlessly right after activating it. I had called tech support again just to make sure everything registered fine and they stated that it all went through fine on the online activation process. For whatever reason this specific arris model and comcasts networks weren't playing nice with each other and caused me a huge headache. I won't speak for all of Arris' products but this one was a huge let down.

It's an excellent replacement Xfinity cord cutters
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was afraid to purchase a replacement for my Xfinity tower because I believe there wasn't an adequate one available. I purchased two before which were horrible.
