Great choice for a reasonably price laptop, does everything we need and love the touch screen

I brought an open box with certification because there is no new one anymore. However it's like a new computer and I brought it with only 506.99$. A good deal!!

This was a great deal for the price! I Love the 1TB hard drive and the 12GB of RAM. Many of my applications run very fast! I also Love that the screen is a touchscreen and that the keyboard is backlit. Add in the HDMI port, Bluetooth, and the 3 USB 3.0 and 1 USB type C port and it has everything I want. I already had an external optical drive so I was fine with it not being built-in.

I went to Boulder's Best Buy store not knowing which new laptop I would buy. The debate was between Lenovo and Asus, and it's important to say that both of the sales reps who came over offered very helpful advice. The Geek Squad did a very quick, efficient job of transferring data from my old computer to my new Asus. Best Buy really has its act together.

Great computer. This is my second ASUS. I will buy another one when needed last one bought 5 years ago.

This laptop is top notch and very fast. Bought a open box one, just like buying a brand new computer. My advice, buy a solid state drive and you will see the difference in speed and power. Will run for years to come.

I love the back lit keyboard that you can turn on and off. I also love that you can turn it into tablet mode. It's fast turn on and downloading. I'm happy with my purchase

I had a Samsung laptop with an i7 processor. I loved it. It worked great and most of all it was fast. It finally started acting funny, then I dropped it. I wanted another Samsung, but at that time they were unavailable. I bought this ASUS with an i5 processor. It came out of the box slow. If I hadnt left it in the box a couple weeks before turning it on, I would've returned it. I was assured i wouldn't notice any difference between an i5 and i7. My only regrets are...if I had spent another $200 I could have had an i7. And if i had waited another 2 or 3 months I could have had a Samsung.

I see other laptop companies charging more money for less quality! This is the best of the best in my opinion.

Fast, everything works well and as expected. Best part is the excellent display, having 1080p resolution.

There were not any reviews available when I purchased this laptop. I had an Asus desktop and my children's laptops were Asus and I was comfortable with the brand. The driver for the touchscreen crashed twice in the first 10 days. The geek squad fixed it the first time. I returned it the second time.

I have owned this laptop of a little over 18 months. And in that time I have had the hard drive fail, the video card fail. And now that it is out of warranty. The hard drive has failed yet again. I own 3 HP computers and not had the level of issues. The price at the time and features were very appealing. While I understand problems with technology will occur. I do not believe that ASUS computers are worth the time invested. I would recommend a more established. I was sucked in by the I5 and the touch screen. I like large monitors. But it was all deceiving. Keep hunting. I am now on the hunt for a good replacement.

I've exchange this laptop three times and each of them had their own problems. The first one had a faulty keyboard the G key was stiff that it often made me mistype any word with a g in it. The second laptop had a faulty SD card reader that would unmount and remount my SD cards (installing new and old drivers did not fix the problem). Finally, the third laptop had a damaged or faulty screen that had a horizontal line across the screen. Perhaps the laptop got damaged during transit because of the thin packaging provided by ASUS, This would be a solid laptop if it weren't for these problems. The look and feel of this laptop was great, the screen was bright and clear, the keyboard was good with not a lot of flexing, and the trackpad was nice. The speakers was probably the biggest weakness of this laptop, everything sounded tinny compared to other laptops at this price range.In the end I just returned the laptop and got a Lenovo. It's a shame, I've would of kept this laptop if it weren't for all of these problem I've had with it.

The little quirks I am having with are not worth the return effort. The Finger pad thing is over sensitive for resizing the screen. 5-8 times a day I have to reset it. It has a tendency to lock up periodically for a few seconds at a time. The pointer disappears so I either have to go to tablet mode, then back, or restart. Starting to get use to Windows 10.

By far the best lap top I have ever owned. Great speed, track pad, screen, and awesome battery life. It's sturdily built and sleek. This computer is a superior PC to my past HPs ( which almost drove me away from the windows platform) I highly recommend this laptop.

This computer is the biggest waste of money. If you are trying to edit videos GO WITH A MACBOOK. I thought the amount of storage this computer has would be best and the "computer specialist" agreed. 4 months later and this computer does nothing but freeze and re boot. If I could return for a MacBook I would!!!!

Please save yourself from hours of frustration from this awful product!!!! slow to commands, sticks on pages.. worst laptop I have ever owned.. could just be mine... but, I wouldn't chance it, unless you are prepared to waste hours of your life with this terrible product.
