    Good Idea, Poor Execution

I love Asus products, but this one doesn't work. I purchased one, and the flip function wouldn't work correctly. It kept jumping in and out of tablet mode when I had the book flipped all the way over. Geek Squad couldn't figure it out, so they gave me a new one in exchange for the one that didn't work. I dropped that one on concrete by accident, and it broke (obviously my fault). i didn't have time to see if it worked or not. So I bought another new one. It did the same thing as the original. Geek Squad couldn't fix it either, so they gave me my money back, and I got a Surface Book.

Bought laptop 1 and at register they didn't have it. Bought laptop 2 that was shipped from another store - open box unit still in demo mode so it wouldn't work. Bought laptop 3 - got different model. What a mess.

Still haven't gotten fingerprint security to work. That was one of the reasons I bought it. Everytime I try it will not take. Even had it done at the store & still same result.

Got the laptop for me. Looks a great product but unfortunately the Touch Pad, Touch Screen & Keyboard Backlight is not working at all. After reading a bit on the internet I see that it is a common problem that these 3 devices do not work properly often with Win 10 on Asus machines. I am not great with hardware side of world so been a month still struggling with driver update etc. Any help by anyone is a great help.

    Dominates the Razer Blade Stealth

    Posted .

Wow, this laptop is AMAZING. I initially purchased a Razer Blade Stealth, which started with a slew of customer service issues and ended in me returning a terrible product. Despite the raving reviews, I can say with confidence that the Asus Q324U outpaces the Razer Blade Stealth in every avenue. PRICE: Spot-on. Incredibly cheap for these specs, actually. I managed to pick one up (totally by accident) when Best Buy was having a $200 off sale, so I got the laptop for a steal. Total cost was $500 cheaper than the Razer Blade Stealth, which has the same specs--yet somehow, performs so much worse. SPEED: Amazing. It powers up like a dream, thanks to the incredible SSD. It easily handles multiple applications, and actually shocked me with its gaming performance. I'm able to play The Old Republic on the highest graphics setting with little to no lag, while the Razer Blade Stealth could barely handle it on low. ERGONOMICS: This is a beautiful laptop. The sleek black finish does fingerprint easily, but Asus included a great cleaning wipe for the screen. A dab of water will wipe away all the fingerprints on the chassis! The keyboard could use a little more travel distance, but overall feels comfortable to type on. Don't forget it has backlighting on the keyboard, since it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that! The hinges have a little more give to them than I'd want, but so far seem pretty solid. And while I didn't set out for a 2-in-1 laptop, the convenience of twisting the screen 360 degrees when watching shows on an airplane is quickly converting me. My only complaint with the chassis is the touch pad; if you're a fan of pressing the button instead of tapping with a finger, the motion will feel unsatisfying, and double-clicking on anything is difficult. But I use a mouse most of the time anyway, so it hasn't been an issue for me. OVERALL: Solid, amazing laptop. It ticks all my boxes, shocked me with the price, and astounded me with performance. Asus always makes a great product, but this is leaps and bounds above my old UX303LA. I'll acknowledge the fan noise here; it is high pitched and near-constant, flipping on the second I do anything more intense than browsing the internet. But honestly, it's a steady noise that's easy to drown out, and if that's not an option for you, headphones easily take care of the problem. I'll take this issue over the Razer Blade Stealth's insane temperatures (literally burning my hand at one point), fan noise, and coil whine every day. You can't go wrong with this laptop, folks. Don't believe the reviews for Razer; you're SO much better off with Asus!!

Laptop worked for a year. And now the battery is dead. The warranty ended on December 17th, 2017 and the battery died in January 2018. Now the estimate is another $690 to fix it. The cost of the laptop was $1580. The reliability is horrible. Perhaps Asus is the wrong choice here.

I've had this laptop for a little over two weeks. So far, it's great, fast, easy to use, and very innovative. The track pad is easy to maneuver, and there is NO light bleed on the screen. Fan can be a little loud at times, but half the time I don't notice it and the speakers arent the best. Overall it's a great laptop. It's also my first experience with ASUS. Really good.

bought this (approx a month ago) because i couldnt get the much cheaper and less powerful 360ca with the 7th gen intel and i was impatient. was initially very happy and have moved to satisfied with bouts of feeling like i've overpaid due to quality issues. the fan noise is a bit irritating. i can live with it, but others (like another reviewer) might find it irredeemable. that's the least of my troubles. the screen is the real problem; there is screen bleeding all over the place and bezel issues. i live in the us and uk, bought the laptop from best buy in the us, but most spend most of my time out of country. asus is apparently selective about who gets an international warranty and they've been totally (x1000000) useless in the uk about honoring my warranty. just thinking about their policy makes my blood pressure rise. they've made me pine for apple who have a much better standard when it comes to international service. i have an extended warranty with best buy so will see if they can repair it when i'm back us-side. following a repair, it could be near perfect. what's good: it's fast, pretty, and light. the touchscreen works well and, unlike other reviewers, i like the keyboard. it has good travel for such a thin laptop. if not for the bezel, screen bleeding, bloatware (forgot to mention it), and lack of international customer support, I'd have given asus and this laptop 4-5 stars. Amazing computer in every respect

This computer is amazing. I could not have asked for anything else, even after reading and comparing on every other 2-in-1 ultrabook on the market (HP Spectre, Lenovo Yoga, Samsung ATIV Spin, etc.) PROS: - Beautiful black stainless steel case. - Lightweight, but extremely powerful. - Fingerprint scanner - Microfiber cloth included. - Best price for a computer with equivalent specs (by a couple hundred). - Battery actually lasts advertised amount of time. CONS: - Fan is loud, and kicks in when multitasking or doing anything more than browsing or Microsoft Office (or Office equivalent apps), and can be heard clearly when in a quieter atmosphere. However, this can be easily drowned out by background noise or headphones. - Aluminum body is a fingerprint magnet, but the microfiber cloth works wonders removing fingerprints, and can still be easily removed with a tiny bit of some sort of cleaning product, sprayed directly onto the microfiber.

I recently purchased this and have been using it for about 2 weeks now. Here is my review: PROS: - Large (512GB) SSD with an additional 2TB of storage - 16GB RAM - Responsive touchscreen - Standalone graphics card CONS: - Fan noise on basic tasks - Fingerprint magnet!!! - For a 4K display it doesn't appear very bright or sharp - The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, making it very hard to hear when sitting in your lap - The touchpad is terrible...absolutely terrible. It has a mind of its own and is very glitchy. This is the main reason I am returning the laptop

    Great Laptop

I've been shopping for a laptop for a while. My first choice was a Dell inspiron ( 7378) It was returned because of a screen issue (that only pertained to that laptop) I did order a Laptop online but I had mixed feelings towards it. When I went in to Best Buy (again) I tested the yoga 910 the 7378 then my eyes stumbled across this one the Asus Q324 and I was in Love. This was a 16 gig memory and 512 sold state drive. The mouse pad was awesome compared to the dell, and this laptop has a 8000 series wireless card vs the 3000 series which meant better speeds it was also about a pound lighter. All laptops in this price range have the Sata interface. I hear complaints about that all the time in all the reviews. if you want a PCI E drive go ahead and spend $1500 to $1800 on a Laptop. (Best buy sells a Yoga 910 for around $1200 but your only getting a 256 Storage.) I think 8 gigs of Ram. The Sata is really great I'm not a gamer but I like my toys and I'm not as wealthy as Donald Trump LOL. The only time you really need PCIE is when you are playing intense games and doing video editing or running a very big server. I'm very happy with this laptop I am not happy with the volume BUT BUT BUT I fixed it I downloaded a piece of software that added volume and now I'm so happy i'm still giving this 5 stars. This is a new experience for me because I've had Dells all my life and I still like them but I couldn't resist this deal and i will say its a great laptop!!

Compared the specs to a number of other high end computers, and it simply didn't make sense to spend up to twice as much as what you are getting with this computer on closeout. Specs are awesome, computer is fast, lightweight for its size, nice screen, light up keyboard is nice. SSD slot holds a Samsung 950 Pro, which I changed out after reading it was possible on a forum. While there is not the full bandwidth to take full advantage of the 950 Pro, CrystalDiskMark gave me 1632 Read and 1507 Write, or roughly three times a standard SATA drive. Love this computer.

    Excellent Performance & Portability

I purchased this laptop to replace another system that had recently died. I work as a journalist, and I frequently need to multitask switching between multiple programs to do my job. As I knew I would be using the PC while walking around, I knew I wanted a notebook with an aluminum body to avoid damage. This system performs exceedingly well for everything I do. I never notice any slow down regardless of how many programs I run. The display isn't anything special, but the battery life is exceptional and often lasts for over 7 hours. Although I primarily use this system for work, I also tested its ability to play games and am quite pleased with the results. The system struggled to run Fallout 4 even with the lowest graphics settings, but it runs Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 perfectly with high settings. It can also handle Shogun II: Total War with medium graphics settings at 1600x900. Bioshock Infinity runs between 30 to 40 FPS at 1600x900 with medium settings as well. Tomb Raider (2013) doesn't perform quite as well, but it still works with low settings. Overall this laptop won't please anyone that wants to play brand new games, but if you want to run older games with lower graphics settings then you won't have an issue. Intel has really taken its integrated graphics technology a long way, and I am quite happy with this performance.

This is a great, fast, lightweight computer that has really good specs for the price. Unfortunately the fan runs constantly even under a very small workload and has an annoying, high-pitched sound that I am finding hard to ignore. I tried returning and getting a new one in case it was just the particular computer but unfortunately the new one has the same problem. If you don't mind a constant (quiet but audible) high-pitched noise while you are working then I recommend this computer, but otherwise don't bother. I hate to return it but I think I might have to.
