This computer is legit. I love the interactive touch screen that can be turned easily to convert to tablet like. The battery seems pretty good for all the specs that came with the computer. The price of the computer is incomparable.

So far, so good! I am really happy with my new Asus computer- great speed, easy to navigate (still learning Windows 10), tons of RAM! I am totally impressed and so glad I bought this computer. You won't be disappointed!

Love the touchscreen application. It has a decent battery life. Light weight too. Definitely a great buy. Make sure you measure the screen size before getting a backpack, as it doesn't fit in some bags.

I needed a laptop that was light weight and had a decent amount of memory. As a teacher, I do a great deal of work on my laptop. My college age children each bought one and use theirs for college classes. We love them!

Good laptop. Advertises that the keyboard lights up and mine doesn't. Not sure if I got a faulty one or what but I'll be checking into it. My other issue is when you flip it to use as a tablet the laptop wantes to keep switching. Again, I may have a faulty one I'm not sure. It does it's job. So far so good besides these 2 issues. It's lightweight which I love. It's strange now to have laptops without the cd thing but it makes them lighter. I had a discount from school so i got a decent deal on this

My one main problem is that the keys on the keyboard are difficult to see. The silver blends with the white light if you are sitting back and not completely over top of the keyboard, it's hard to see.
The touch screen is nice and it seems to not lag yet. However, I don't do a whole lot on it.
The rest of my issues is probably from Windows 10. I hate it and find it much more difficult to maneuver. . I install a program and unless I add it to the desktop, I never find it again.

The only complaint I have is that there is an assumption that everyone has a history with using computers. A basic startup instruction manual would help so much for those of us who don't have that background. I downloaded the manual at the library and printed it out but it didn't give the basic dummies instructions I needed. In hindsight, I'd buy some kind of ultimate beginners book ahead of time. I don't care for the dependence on internet that seems to be required for everything these days, which includes starting up this laptop completely. As for the laptop itself- really very pleased so far. My uses are photography and word processing. Will be shopping for word processing software that can be used offline.

Nice price. High quality graphics for video viewing. Decent battery life under normal usage. Only dislike placement of òn off switch on side. Can be accidently turned off when in tablet mode.

This is my first Windows 10 laptop and I love it. It's really quick and the touch screen i use seamlessly. Sometimes I use the touch screen more than I use the mouse. Over all great laptop.

Good Computer, but Better After Upgrade

Out of the box this computer is fine. It is a good size, well built, and runs well. However, I had concerns with how slow the included 5400rmp 1TB HDD made the computer (and this is coming from a computer that had the same size/speed HDD, not a SSD). In the first few days when I was getting it set up and synced with Dropbox, other applications, etc. it ran very slow and was using 100% of the disk pretty much at all times. This was confusing to me as the rest of the components ran perfectly (I'm particularly impressed by the i5 processor as I'm used to an i7 - I honestly don't notice a measurable difference). I decided to upgrade the HDD to a SSD and oh man - what a difference! The computer now flies and I have no issues. It boots up/wakes from sleep with hardly any lag time and disk usage is tremendously reduced. I even ran The Sims 4 and it played without issue (this is not a gaming computer however and will not do well with graphics-intensive games). With the SSD upgrade I would give this computer 5 stars, but out of the box only 4. I still feel as though I got a good deal as I purchased the computer for $499 after sale and College Student Deal discount, and essentially had the SSD paid for by trading in my old computer. Important Note for Upgrading - there are 2 screws hidden underneath the rounded feet protectors closest to the hinges. These MUST be removed in order to do any upgrades. The feet are just stuck on and come off fairly easily with gentle use of a tool. They restick back on just fine. I do highly recommend this computer - but with an upgrade to an SSD. With both the computer and SSD on sale (Samsung 850 EVO 500GB) I still paid less than the $799.99 retail price of this unit, and less than comparable units.

It's actually a very good laptop. It's light and fast when it wants to work. The biggest problem is the fact it has windows 10. The laptop this replaced had Windows 8. Had an upgrade to 10. Stupidly upgraded. Instantly regretted it. Ripped it out and put W8 back. I will probably do it to this knowing I will lose some functionality.
The only reason I am recommending it is because it's good but could be better but did I say I HATE WINDOWS 10!

This is a good medium priced 2 in 1 for general all around usage. My wife uses one for general online usage and my daughter uses one for her college courses. A good all around computer.

Excellent keyboard with separate number pad

I like the touchpad feature which allows me to scroll with just two fingers. Still getting used to it, but I also like the separate number pad. It does make the keyboard "squished" a bit, but I'm getting used to it. The only thing I really dislike about the laptop is the placement of the power button. It is exactly where I grab it when I want to move it from one place to another, right side near the front. I often turn it off unintentionally because of that.
