Q: What is that little gray square on the touch pad shown in the picture? Is it just a sticker or what?
A: That little gray square is a fingerprint reader, you can program your fingerprint in so you can just swipe that instead of typing in a password for logging into the computer.
A: hold the FN key and the f4 down to turn on and f3 to turn it off.
Q: Can you leave it plugged in all the time when not in use?
A: Yes. It does not over charge the battery or reduce it's ability to achieve a full charge.
A: That's a good question! I was told it was 12G RAM, but it sure doesn't act like it. It is much slower than my old laptop.
Q: can u use a stylus/pen on the touchscreen?
A: Yes, the rubber tip/top stylus work perfectly. The pen (plastic top) not so much.
Q: How do I turn the backlight on/off on the keyboard?
A: You press the function button (fn button = the lowest row of keys, 2nd from left) and the f3 or f4 button. f3 dims the light and is the 4th button on the upper left and f4 brightens it and is the 5th button on upper left.

A: Yes and you can adjust the brightness on the keyboard or even turn the backlight off.
