I got this laptop for school and light gaming. It runs beautifully and runs every game I have tried so far. All of the drivers where super old so I had to update them. There was some sort of Asus gift box that was slowing it down a lot, but once I got rid of that it picked up speed. It's super fast and the display is very nice. The two things that bother me are the finger prints and the battery life. The matte finish gets finger prints all over it and then I can't clean them off! The battery life is terrible! I hardly get three hours of battery life, but I'm okay with keeping it plugged in at home. I think it's a really good laptop, but a longer battery life would be a lot better.

I purchased this laptop on sale. The memory, cpu, and video card are top notch. I love the 360° fold design. There is no ethernet port or dvd player but i bought an inexpensive adapter and an external dvd writer, and have had no issues with it.

Bought this computer for my daughter for school. Her old laptop would not run the software she needed for her research program, nor did it have any amount of decent graphics for her highly detailed programs to run smoothly. This not only has the graphics and processing speed, it also has ample storage space for the programs she needs to run. So far (she has only had it about a month) she loves it.

This model has a lot of great features for beginners and advanced users. Bought it for my adult daughter whose old Dell finally gave up the ghost, it's just an amazing machine... great video, a lot of RAM, huge hard drive, touch screen, swiveling tablet mode, wonderful audio and a nice exterior. She's really happy with it, and I am happy I got it for her. Would definitely recommend this machine.

Computer is fast and easy to use. I added a USB hub so that I could use a DVD reader/writer. Sales person was very helpful and told me how to activate the windows antivirus protection. The computer was easy to set up and the windows 10 program made the job simple. I amusing the ASUS for my work as a trainer and find the it is just what I was looking for - a simple easy to use portable computer.

Great laptop. Very quick and easy to navigate and use. Love the touch screen. The video card makes watching Netflix and Movies a pleasure. Great speakers too. I really find the full keyboard really handy as well.

Speed was good, performance good
When I went to the Best Buy store, there were quite a few options in Dell and HP yet this one stood out for its price when compared with same hardware across these other brands.

I like the performance of the laptop and the ability to use it as a tablet. The laptop is lightweight and easier to carry. It does not come with a DVD drive, but I can purchase one to plug into the USB drive.

This is an improvement over my previous (5 year old, 2nd gen core i5) Asus which I gave to my dad when his (12 year old) desktop stopped working. I like the touchscreen and the back-lit keyboard, although the glare on the screen is sometimes annoying. At first I thought there was a problem because many videos look worse on its HD screen than on my old machine. True HD video looks fantastic though, so I guess it just makes it easier to notice the low quality of the source files. I'm a little annoyed that Civ IV played in window mode won't work with the window maximized anymore, but it is not a big deal. I wish the headphone jack was close to the front, and the power cord on the opposite side.

Computer for College

My son is headed off to college soon and needed a computer. We wanted something that would last and support his needs for the 4 years he plans to attend. We shopped around in store and talked to a Best Buy rep and decided ASUS was the way to go. This was a step up from the in-store model but should meet all the necessary requirements for college classes and assignments and also has graphics for some gaming. He was excited about that! 4 out of 5 stars because nothing is perfect. I am sure as he uses it more and more there will be something it is missing that he wishes it had. That being said still very satisfied with the purchase.

This laptop is really nice and fast, takes some hours to make it ready but after this everything is ok. Windows updates takes long but you need to do it otherwise the computer get start to be slow. The finish is really nice but the best for me was the price 599 was a really good deal for this laptop.

I am an Interior design and need my computer the draft floor plans and render drawings, but I also need it to be easily interactive with clients, my children and me. The flip touch screen in perfect for that. It has what it needs to run my programs and then some. Perfect work/home laptop.

I replaced the HDD with an SSD prior to use, so this review is of a modified laptop. Overall, quite fast for most tasks. I use it for online gaming and work apps like MSOffice, SQL Server, Visual Studeo, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. Runs without a hitch. SSD makes a huge difference I am sure. Used a 480 gig SATA, but it does have an m.2 slot, minus the needed screw. Don't know if it has enough lanes to run SATA and m.2 at the same time. 5 stars with an SSD.

I would give this computer 5 stars because I love it and I would purchase this computer again however, there are a few issues. Sometimes when I flip the computer from tablet to laptop it gets stuck in the tablet screen preventing me from accessing the desktop. Also, a few times drop down menus have gotten stuck on the screen, such as when you right click, and they don't go away. The laptop also seems warped because it does not sit flat on any surface. Performance wise it's a greater computer and the only issues I've had are more of a Windows issue than anything.
