Great monitor! The monitor also comes with 100mm VESA mount adapter for those who want to put it on a monitor arm.
Compared to the second monitor (matte lcd) the glossy oled screen, the blacks are insane! Colors are also very vibrant.
But having a glossy oled monitor also comes with a cost. It is a fingerprint magnet and it being oled makes it easily scratchable (terrible combo when you adjust the monitor). You'll only notice if a bright light shines at it. But normal use, you'll never notice it.
Would only recommend to those competitive players where every millisecond count and those who have a beefy gpu that can run games at that many frames. If not, I'd say a 240hz is plenty good enough.

Hard to fault. 500hz OLED for competitive gamers.

To start off, I've been using the previous generation of these QD-OLED panels from a competitor brand, albeit my last one had a matte coating. This one is the standard glossy version which I overall prefer now after using both side by side. Color reproduction is similar on both when tuned to same brightness, but the glossy versions seems to unironically work better for me in "mid-lit" room environment, where stuff looks more shinny from reflections.
With that said, this is more or less a input lag and slight brightness bump from the last gen version. Not much different of a monitor as a whole, but I consider this ASUS XG model the peak of what QD-OLED displays can do as far as raw speed goes.
Subjectively, input feel/latency feels a lot tighter to me. I can also set my mouse to 500hz and more or less have a "sync" between how fast my mouse updates walling it off at 500hz. (adding latency, but it feels "right".. for a better lack of terms). This latency benefit extends even into games where you cant exactly hit 500 FPS. It's a subtle change but obviously there. I also don't think the majority of people need a OLED panel over 240hz. I would argue this model is designed for the competitive player more so than a casual.
240-280hz 1440p QD-OLED is like.. 95% of this monitor assuming same config and tuning from the manufacturer and faster innately compared to last gen IPS/TN panels hovering around 360-400hz.. so there is a clear level of diminishing returns unless you want absolute smoothness in your arena game of choice. I would recommend this monitor for people who own the current fastest AMD X3D CPU and play games like CS2, Valorant, and OW2 for example, granted, there is still a input lag benefit innately even if you cant hit 500+ FPS as I mentioned earlier.
PROS:
-Built well. Frame of monitor is steel design and steel base is the smallest I've used in recent times.. I absolutely LOVE this since I can position mouse pad without overlapping.
-Proximity sensor works awesome when configured to your personal settings. Helps cut down on OLED wear when you step away from computer.
-500hz means fast raw input delay since response delay is inherently around 0.2ms on OLED panels. 2.77s>2ms coming from 360hz OLED (raw frame latency = 1000/360 or 1000/500).
-8 hour default auto refresh delay for cleaning.. Not sure of this is a pro or con, but it's half of competitor options at 4 hour cycles. I recommend letting monitor refresh by itself to prevent premature wear.
CONS:
-Still DP1.4, granted I haven't run into any DSC issues on my current GPU.. **ASUS PRIME 9070XT**. Would have liked to see DP2.1, but my card is limited to UHBR13.5 regardless.
-XG is a cheaper line vs "PG", though I sort of like this model since it doesn't seem to have certain shortcomings of WOLED versions which are known to have a ton of random issues. Also avoids the larger base/legs.
-QD-OLED text clarity at 1440p isn't the best due to pixel layout. This remains true on this version, but I'm sort of used to it as this point. Hoping next generation of panel can improve this.
-No USB type-C ports.
-Diminishing returns over 280-360hz options if value is a concern.
OVERALL:
I tried looking for faults or things I didn't like next to the previous gen 360hz model, but this has been nothing but a clear upgrade.
Is 500hz overall? Yeah sort of.. I would only go for this model if you take something like CS2 or Valorant hyper competitively and want the absolutely lowest latency possible. Alternatives to this model are the older 480hz WOLED or newer Tandem WOLED 540hz versions which can be considered better or worse depending on who you ask.
The QD version doesn't suffer from image retention or random greyscale banding issues that I've seen with WOLED versions. Given that I own a previous gen of this panel, I'm also pretty confident it wont happen on this ASUS XG model. So it's going to be a safe pick provided you're okay with what i mentioned above.

The Pinnacle of OLED Gaming

THIS… Is the Asus ROG Strix 27" 2K OLED 500Hz Monitor with just about every feature under the sun packed into it. QD-Oled, 500hz and G-Sync / FreeSync! On paper, I am not really sure what beats this as the king of the jungle for competitive gamers… so let's take a look at what Asus has put together.
Out of the box, setup is easy and doesn’t require any screws or tools to get started. Asus includes a compact footprint stand that moves in all the directions you would want as well as the option to use a vesa mount should you want to wall mount. Asus also did a really good job with cables, this monitor comes with a nifty bag containing every cable that you could want to get started. It is nice knowing that the cables I will be using are also certified to run this monitor. The Strix has several I/O options with 1 Displayport 1.4, 2 HDMI 2.1, a headphone jack and a usb hub to connect your devices to your pc through your monitor.
Plugging the Strix in and turning on a game for the first time was great and continues to affirm why Asus is the top dog when it comes to monitors. The 3rd gen QD-Oled panel used on the Strix is phenomenal and packed with features. With vesa HDR 500 certification, 99% coverage of the DCI-p3 standard and a delta E less than 2 meaning that this monitor is extremely color accurate and gets bright enough for a good HDR certification (300cd avg / 1000cd peak). So not only is this a 500hz 0.03ms gaming monitor, but it's still enjoyable when you aren't gaming as well. I also appreciate that this is a 1440p monitor, so I can actually get close to the 500hz cap natively. Overall, you aren’t going to find a better monitor at this Hz without spending a significant amount more and sacrificing the color quality of QD-Oled.
Past the screen, this is the strix line so while there isn’t the downshining logo onto your desk… you still have excellent build quality with decently thin borders. Asus calls them ‘super thin’ and… I would say decently thin. Something cool about this monitor (and most asus monitors) is that it has a proximity sensor that can sense when you step away to black out the screen to prevent burn-in. That's only the start of the oled safety and performance features. The strix has more features than I could list like AI shadow boost to enhance dim map areas, aspect control to be able to go down to 25”, blue light reduction and flicker free tech that actually makes it near impossible for me to see any flicker. This monitor screen does have an anti-reflection coating, though, it has no purpling on dark areas and really comes off as a glossy screen with no reduction in fine details. While it is ‘anti reflection’ I would still ideally keep this monitor out of the way from direct bright lights, though it doesn’t refract everything easily. On the bottom of the monitor there is 2 usb 3.2 type-a ports that work perfectly for organizing your desk and keeping cables sprawling from your desktop to a minimum. I have my usb hub under my desk plugged in running 5 USB ports with no issues.
Asus uses DisplayWidget center, their software that comes with this monitor to expand your customization and control. It works good, nothing fancy but enough to do what you need to do and move on. This is where you will adjust your features like shadow boost and screen uniformity. It does have custom modes for your preference and an AI ‘buddy’ that will auto adjust the settings based on your current usage trend. I had to turn the AI buddy off though as it would sometimes oversaturate my game either at the beginning or randomly throughout (though most of the time right up front).
Asus makes it hard to hate this monitor, and with a 3 year cross shipping warranty, they have eliminated almost all of the fears associated with owning an OLED. We are officially in the era where we don’t need to sacrifice viewing angles and features for HZ and where we are basically free of burn in. I have been personally maining the asus PG32UCDM carelessly for almost 2 years without a glance of burn in… so you would really have to try to actually burn in an image. I really don’t know what I would change on this monitor, and it really seems like the people at Asus making this monitor also USE this monitor. All the big ticket features are covered with a lot of nice to have creature comforts such as the USB hub, the AI suite and the nifty cable bag. It does all of this while also being relatively competitive on price. From gaming to content creation to entertainment, Asus has knocked it out of the park yet again with this monitor and makes it almost impossible to say no to. Until next time :)

SET-UP & USE
There isn't much to set-up with the ROG Strix OLED. My preferred connection type is Display Port. 2 plugs and that was all that was needed, I was up and running.
This review would be pages upon pages if I were to touch on every single aspect of this monitor. I'll hit what I deem as the most important parts. For me, the number one most important factor with any display is color accuracy. Am I a photographer or professional content creator? No. But, if I'm putting down cash for a monitor, it better be good. Buy once, cry once. Looking at the specs on Asus' website, they made some pretty bold claims. Throwing out their new quantum dot enhanced OLED display was capable of displaying 99% of DCI-P3 color gamut with delta errors less than 2.0 for color accuracy. Bold claims and even harder to achieve. There was only one way to find out.
I broke out my i1 Display Pro colorimeter and started to run some tests. Sure enough, Asus crushed it. While individual colors had some errors over 2.0, overall grayscale color accuracy was below 2.0. AWESOME!!! Excellent work Asus. Why is the Delta error less than 2.0 so important? Any error less than 2.0 means the color reproduction is so close to the original that any inconsistencies are imperceptible to the naked eye. It is extremely difficult to get a monitor to achieve this level of performance, but Asus pulled it off.
Speaking of visual goodies, the new Quantum Dot enhanced OLED display is jaw dropping. Adding Quantum Dots to an OLED display, in essence, gives you the best of both worlds. You get the incredible, inky blacks and near infinite contrast ratio of an OLED panel with the brightness and pop of a conventional LED display. Specs on Asus' website claim 1.5 million to 1 contrast ratio with a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Those specs appear spot on. Get a good, HDR-enabled game and it will get punishingly bright in a darkened room.
All the key buzzwords are included with the monitor. It supports both AMD FreeSync Premium as well as nVidia G-Sync. In addition, Asus claims a refresh rate up to a blistering 500Hz. Far higher than any other monitor I've seen to date. So high, that even my new Asus TUF gaming PC with an nVidia 5060 can't match it. One of those things that there just in case you ever need it.
GAMING
This monitor has a couple of unique additions I've never used before that deserve a shout out. One is what Asus calls the A.I. Assistant Technology Dynamic Crosshair. It is actually very slick. The monitor places a crosshair on the screen where your weapon is pointing. It's super slick and almost a bit like cheating. I often take shots "looking through the scope or down the sights" instead of spraying. The virtual cross hair eliminates the aiming in and puts your crosshairs always out in front on the screen. Not to mention, the system analyzes the colors on the display and will change the color of the crosshairs to help get maximum contrast from the background. It's slick and works well.
The other feature is the A.I. Assistant Technology Dynamic Shadow Boost. The monitor will continuously analyze the scenes on the display. Because OLED has the ability to reach down to total black, images on screen may be extremely dark. So dark it would be hard to spot things in the distance. Think dark games like Cyberpunk and even stealth missions in Call of Duty and Battlefield. The Dynamic Shadow Boost gently increases the brightness of the shadows making it easier to identify things in background during dark scenes. It works pretty well, enhancing darkness without totally destroying the contrast of the rest of the image.
CONS
The monitor only supports HDR10. It does not include the option of supporting Dolby Vision. Also, this monitor only supports a resolution up to 2560 x 1440. No 4k image here. Some will argue that at this size, 4k would be overkill, not to mention the resources it requires to game at that resolution, but again, it would be nice to have.
At the end of the day, this is still an OLED monitor and the risk of screen burn-in is very real. I know, it has happened to me on 2 different occasions. Once on an OLED TV and once on an OLED monitor. Asus does their best offering many technologies to help delay or defeat these inherent problems. First the monitor employs the self-described pixel-shifting to gently move pixels. Second they employ an OLED image cleaning function that works at set intervals to help prevent the leftover artifacts of a long gaming or work session. Lastly, Asus has developed a Neo Proximity Sensor that monitors when a person is seated in front of the monitor. While seated the display will remain on. However, get up for any reason and the monitor will nearly instantly put itself in standby with a black screen. I'm curious to how these technologies will work over time.
FINAL THOUGHTS
If it's not readily apparent, I'm impressed with the new Asus ROG Strix OLED monitor. Colors pop, blacks are inky dark, and images can get so bright they hurt your eyes. Not to mention, anytime you want to make any changes or tweaks to the display, all adjustments are at hand with the Asus Display Widget Center. An app that mirrors the physical adjustments you can make on the monitor.
If you are in the market for a top-of-the-line 1440 gaming monitor, I don't know of any that get better than this.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Asus ROG Strix 27" XG27AQDPG Gaming Monitor brings a 500Hz refresh rate to a Quantum Dot OLED screen in 1440p. It's aiming to offer crystal clear motion coupled with an exceptional response rate. I've never had a monitor with a refresh rate above 280Hz so I was curious how it would fit my gaming setup.
- Design/Build/Unboxing -
The packaging was great, as expected, to protect the monitor in transit. You will find the monitor, a flat stand with a slot for cables, a microfiber cloth, power cord, USB-B upstream cable for data and Display Widget software, 1.4 DisplayPort cable, ultra high speed HDMI cable, a heavy duty VESA mount, stickers, and a quick start guide in the box. Setup took me about 10 minutes to get everything plugged in. I updated firmware once I plugged in the USB-B cable. You can adjust the tilt up/down and side-to-side. You can also raise/lower the monitor height. I noticed a cool feature on the back of the monitor, RGB lighting casts a nice glow on the wall.
- Specs/Features -
This is a QD-OLED 27" monitor (technically 26.5") with a ridiculously high refresh rate of 500Hz and extremely low Grey/Grey response time of .03ms. Resolution is 2560 x 1440 QHD. It's a true 10-bit panel with 99% DCI-P3 gamut coverage and it's VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified. Regarding ports there is 1 DisplayPort (1.4) DSC and 2 HDMI Ports (2.1). It's G-Sync compatible and also compatible with FreeSync Premium Pro.
- Software -
Asus DisplayWidget Center has a ton of features including OLED Care. Asus OLED Care makes me feel better about avoiding screen burn-in. It includes a Neo Proximity Sensor with screen dimming control that automatically dims the screen when no movement is detected for a given period of time. Taskbar detection identifies the taskbar and reduces the brightness around the taskbar to minimize the risk of burn-in. Boundary detection also reduces burn-in by detecting persistent black bars when watching movies or PIP conditions. Logo detection will automatically adjust logo brightness. Outer dimming control adjusts the brightness around areas with peak brightness to help avoid burn-in too. Lastly, there is a Pixel cleaning reminder that will remind you to run the Pixel cleaner every 8 hours. Overall, Asus has been very pro-active mitigating the risk of screen burn-in that is often associated with OLED monitors. There are a variety of presets including a custom user mode if you want to dial in your own settings. The GameVisual modes are: Scenery, Racing, Cinema, RTS/RPG, FPS, sRGB, MOBA, Night, and User Mode.
- Performance -
The QD LED offers perfect blacks and excellent HDR brightness, while the 500Hz refresh rate just takes you to a whole different level. I will say you will need to have the hardware to fully experience 500Hz. On a desktop RTX 4070 Super, I struggled to get above 400 FPS with Overwatch 2, but I could get there with Valorant and CS:GO. The Motion blur and ghosting are nearly zero. Typically, I get a little nauseated when there's motion blur so I'm happy to find out it doesn't exist here. I would give it a 10/10 for motion, the best I've seen. There's also a 24.5 mode that isn't just a blurry scaled image. It's a native 2352x1324 500Hz focus mode.
The colors are gorgeous and vibrant, and the blacks make every scene pop. Mixed with the exceptional brightness levels you will find yourself feeling like old games are a new experience.
1440p is a sweet spot for gaming, but as far as desktop editing and productivity it's a slight step down at 109 PPI. Text could be a little more crisp, but it gets the job done.
Movies are absolutely beautiful on this monitor with rich, accurate, vibrant colors, superb contrast, and deep blacks.
The only thing I question here is the use of a DP 1.4 port with a massive amount of data moving through the pipe. When you try to get a max speed of 500Hz you have to use DSC (compression) which disables the DSR resolution feature. The compromise is turning DSC off to enable DSR, which reduces your refresh rate but gives you much sharper visuals. Either way there's a compromise.
- Pros/Cons -
* Pros *
- OLED Care Pro
- 24.5" Mode
- Crystal Clear 500Hz Motion clarity
- Incredibly fast .03ms Response Time
- Deep blacks
- Extremely Bright
- OLED Care to mitigate burn-in
- Super Bright Panel (1000 nits)
- Compact stand gives you more desk space
- Software has a ton of features
* Suggestions/Needs Improvement *
- DisplayPort 1.4
- Need a powerful GPU that can push 500 frames to see potential
- No speakers
This monitor is an exceptional choice for gamers with its response time, colors, brightness, and excellent motion clarity. If you've been reluctant to buy an OLED monitor due to burn-in, this is the one you should get with its extensive OLED Care options and features. I do wish it came with a DP 2.1 port but for now it's an excellent choice for serious gamers.

I’ve a PC gamer through and through, I’ve been able to try and use different gaming monitors for the past 10 years. Oled is now king and you can find many different price ranges and panel types. This Asus ROG Strix Is at the top of the range and you definitely get every single dollars worth. The listing on Bestbuy doesn’t specify but I can confirm that this monitor using a QD-oled panel and it is simply beautiful even if it’s only 1440p. Colors are beautiful even more beautiful and vivid with the quantum dot technology and a pretty high PPI as well. Fast response time as you come to expect and a super high refresh rate of 500hz. I myself and pushing this monitor with an Asus prebuilt a g700 with an Intel ultra 7,16gb ddr5@ 6000mt and a 5080 Asus tuf. I’m getting close to 500hz but in games that are easier to run like CS go, overwatch, rivals and the like. Warzone and Redsec are a different story lol. Like most people I won’t get higher than 240hz but that’s ok and understandable as 500hz is hard to push unless you have a 5090. But it’s best to have and not need than to need and not have. 27 inch imo is great for fps! Asus software is easy to use. The proximity sensor is great for when you need to step away, RGB in back is subtle but nice to have and you can disable if you like along with the stand by logo if you have this In your room like I do. Stand is great and flat so you can fit a soundbar if you like. Monitor comes with every cable you will need for pc and console with a nice little bag. You can adjust height and rotate if you like. This works great with the ps5 as well no issues whatsoever. My son uses it now and he loves it. It’s a great monitor if you have the budget and have a beefy gpu to push the frames. You almost get everything you need. Only thing I wish this had was built in speakers but this does come with a 3.5mm port in the back. The panel also has a 3 year warranty if anything were to get burnt in but I doubt it will happen with all the panel safety features this includes. I’d recommend for sure. Good luck and happy gaming.

I spend a bit of time gaming and a wonderful monitor helps get you in the zone, when you got an amazing monitor? It helps bring you in and bask in the environments built!
The ASUS ROG Strix has some wild specs a 2K OLED 500Hz 0.03ms OLED beast! In the box you get the Monitor, Stand, VESA mount, and a little pouch that contains the DisplayPort cable, Power cord , USB A to B cable, Microfiber cloth, ROG pouch, ROG sticker plus Manual and Warranty Cards.
There is 2 HDMI ports, 1 Display port, 2 USB A, USB B 3.0, plus a 3.5mm headphone jack. I did not use the quick release stand as I used the VESA mount on my desk, which the included mount is quite nice and very solid. I didn't do much calibration on this monitor, nearly straight out of the box, onto my desk and in to some games. I did change the monitor out of Power Saving mode, which it was by default, so I can take advantage of what the monitor has to offer! You can turn on VRR, Gameplus Features. Shadow Burst and Game Visuals. You can use the Asus DisplayWidget Center to tweak these settings rather then using controls on the monitor itself.
OLED always produces an amazing range from the dark areas to the bright colors, I am always just a little iffy on gaming with an OLED wanting to avoid any sort of burn in with HUDs in games. There is a lot built in to these display now to avoid this, which is apparent by the whole OLED Care section to their Display Widget. So, I figured I would give it a try to take advantage of these specs!
I have been stuck to Arc raiders for a bit and this display has been a beauty to play on! I have also been playing a bit of Dave the Diver but need to admire the scenery in Ghost of Tsushima next! I was using a slightly larger 4K QLED monitor before but they may come close, but hard to match those individually lit pixels. I have done some gaming but now I am going to fully enjoy this monitor with the days off for the holiday. This one is staying on the desk!

Gamer’s Take:
I’ve been using the Asus ROG Strix 27" QHD OLED for a couple of weeks now, and it’s easily one of the fastest monitors I’ve used. The 500Hz refresh rate combined with a 0.03ms response time makes competitive games feel unreal—no ghosting, no input lag, just smooth, buttery action all the way through. For fast-paced shooters, it almost feels like an unfair advantage.
Setup was quick and painless: tighten a thumbscrew, snap the display in, and you’re done. The CNC aluminum build feels premium, and the stand is sturdy.
One major downside, however, is that HDR in Windows is inconsistent. Sometimes it looks great, other times washed out. Brightness also isn’t strong enough if you’re gaming in a bright room. In a controlled setup, though, it’s not a deal-breaker.
Content Creator’s Take:
Outside of gaming, this monitor doubles as a serious creative tool. The OLED display delivers excellent contrast and color accuracy—145% sRGB and 99% DCI-P3 coverage make photo editing and video grading a pleasure. Blacks are deep, highlights pop, and details are razor-sharp. The OLED Pro Care with Neo Proximity Sensor is a smart addition; it dims automatically when you step away, helping reduce burn-in risk during long editing sessions.
The accessory pack is rock solid: DisplayPort cable, microfiber cloth, quick-release stand, ROG pouch, sticker, and warranty card. The 3-year warranty that even covers panel burn-in is a huge plus and adds peace of mind.
Verdict:
For competitive gamers, this monitor is a performance powerhouse. For content creators, it’s a color-accurate workhorse. It’s not flawless—HDR quirks and brightness limitations hold it back; however, if you’re serious about both gaming and creative work, the ROG Strix 27" OLED is one of the best dual-purpose displays available.

The ASUS ROG Strix 27" 2K OLED 500Hz 0.03ms Gaming Monitor with G-SYNC, FreeSync, and HDR (XG27AQDPG) is a phenomenal gaming monitor.
OLED monitors just look better then your standard LED monitors. The colors are mor vibrant, but not over saturated, and the blacks are simply black without backlight bleeding through. Then you add 500Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms response time, you get one of the best gaming monitors on the market. You also get screen protection, which is a sensor that can detect when you are away from your monitor, and it will turn the screen black, which helps save the OLED screen.
This monitor is also HDR capable, and I highly recommend you enable it. After you enable it, I also highly recommend using Microsoft's calibration software to tune the screen. Once you do that, it will look amazing.
You get three inputs, one display port, and two HDMI ports. I have tested a few gaming monitors lately, and this seems to be the trend. Personally I prefer more display ports than HDMI. I tend to have multiple PC running at the same time, and that is just my preferred connection.
The displays menu is easy to navigate, and there are a lot of options. You can even enable crosshairs for those first person shooter games. But what I really like is that there is an Asus DisplayWidget Center that Windows 11 should ask your to download automatically. It makes changing settings on this monitor even more easily.
All the cables you need are included. You get a power, display port, HDMI, and a USB 3.0 cable. You also get a micro fiber screen cleaning cloth. This all comes in a nice small black zipper bag.
You can use this monitor with stand, but Asus also includes an adapter that allows you to connect it to monitor stands or wall mounts. I'm currently using the adapter and a monitor stand to raise the screen higher for a more comfortable height. I'm a taller person, and looking down at a monitor for long periods of time hurts my neck. This is the perfect solution for tall people like me.

Speed and Clarity That Delivers

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve gone through plenty of monitors chasing the right mix of speed and picture quality. The ASUS ROG Strix 27" OLED nails that balance. The OLED panel is the main reason to buy this monitor—deep blacks, vibrant colors, and HDR that makes both bright and shadowy scenes look more lifelike. Once you’ve played on OLED, it’s hard to go back to LCD.
Add in the 500Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, and this monitor goes from good to incredible. Motion blur is virtually gone, and tracking movement feels natural. The difference is noticeable in fast-paced games—whether it’s shooters, racing, or even just scrolling through menus, everything looks smooth. At 1440p, the resolution is sharp enough for a 27" screen, and I don’t miss 4K at all. For fluid play, speed matters more than pixel count, and this monitor is clearly built with that in mind.
The design is straightforward but solid. The stand doesn’t hog desk space, and the overall look is clean with just enough gamer flair. It doesn’t have USB-C ports or built-in speakers, but for a desktop gaming setup, those aren’t really necessary. Most of us use headsets anyway, and DisplayPort/HDMI cover the basics.
One thing to note: this monitor is focused on gaming first. It’s not trying to be a productivity hub or a docking station. If you’re looking for extras like USB-C or console-optimized features, you might feel limited. But if your priority is competitive PC gaming with OLED visuals, this monitor delivers exactly that.
Overall, the ASUS ROG Strix 27" OLED is about one thing: speed and clarity with OLED quality. It doesn’t try to be everything, but what it does, it does extremely well.

Asus has been killing it with their monitors for the last couple of years. This one is no exception. Yes, I know what you are saying, "500Hz IS overkill!" I would agree, but it's still fine for those who want to up their game.
Asus in my opinion puts out some of the best-looking OLED monitors. Asus also does OLED right with the glossy screens. I prefer this because you get a more lively and popping image. 2K will do you good for the next couple of years. You get Display Port 1.4, HDMI X2, and 2 USB-A 3.2 ports.
The stand that comes with the monitor is lightweight and minimal. It doesn't take up[ much desk space. You get slim bezels. The monitor doesn't have gaming vibes so it would look good in an office environment. You get all the height adjustment, tilt, pivot, and swiveling that comes with most monitors.
We have had OLED for a while now. So, people can relax on the burn-in. Asus provides plenty of tools to decrease this. Some of these features are Pixel Clearing and Screen Move. The biggest thing you can do is to remember to not leave static images of light pixels on the screen for large periods of time. The feature of a 4:3 aspect ratio is something new for gaming. Also, being able to drop to a 24.5-inch display is another feature. If you have not seen an image on OLED, I highly recommend you try it out. The deep rich Black. The lifelike pooping colors and the richness in clarity is something that has to be seen yourself!

all the other reviews are fool, its great but the normal customer does not care/tell what you have and pc people dont care how it looks its about how it works but i guess good for you guys and oh taking a pic of a screen does not make it look good at all, i for one have a oled tv so getting this was not a question
The Asus ROG Strix 27'' is a 500 hz gaming display, that can do hdmi and display. there are three reason to have this display, one you have a oled and want a faster hz, two you are looking for a LG panel that is oled, and three want the best monitor in the market, and not a samsung panel which the new MSI MAG 500hz is, i have had it for about a week now and have played AAAA games and can say it looks really great there is no ghosting and every looks so fluid that i want to get a second one for everyday use, i love it and even got arms monitor arms to put them on, yes i said them i also have a LG UltraGear 27'' QHD 200hz HDR, and because both are a LG panel they work well in displaying everything, you can go wrong with this monitor, yes its over price, and thats because of ASUS but they really use LG panels so, i can complain, and for the normal customer PLS USE YOUTUBE! others can explain more then others so here is the guy i trus, he is a videophile as well, enjoy you purches because i know i have

Absolutely loving this monitor so far. I finally decided to upgrade from a 165Hz monitor and oh man is there a difference.
Everything runs so smoothly and the colors are amazing. It even had a built in feature to reset the pixels to prevent/slow down burn in. But if you're spending this much on a monitor, having a protection plan should be the first thing on your mind.
The settings are a little bit overwhelming and I wish it had a remote, but these are small little things that don't take away from how good this monitor truly is.

I have no regrets despite the price of this monitor. Bought it for $799 a couple days before Christmas, slight deal but still well worth considering saving $100! Let me tell you... This monitor is beautiful and so crystal clear even if its 2k. I previously had bought the Asus 4k WOLED 240hz variant but returned it because I could not get out of my head hearing how stunning QD-OLED was in person. Although the previous one was 4k, The colors and deep blacks really pop in this 2k monitor. I have ZERO regrets of making that switch and will keep this monitor until it dies on me. Afterall... this beast can do 500hz!

This is it, fantastic HDR, insane clairty, nearly perfect color calibration out of box< even the gamma which often times is a miss on OLED. VRR Flicker is even very minimal using OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0. I also have an XG27UCDMG and it's perfect as well, but the FPS cost at 4K just wasn't worth it to me(9800X3D, heavily OC 5080), and I prefer the slightly higher brightness of this model.
