I can confidently say the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG is the best monitor I’ve ever owned — and one of the best gaming displays on the market right now. My Personal Experience & Why It’s My Favorite Using this monitor has been a revelation. When I switched from a standard 60–144 Hz LCD to this OLED, everything — gaming, movies, even desktop work — felt upgraded. Text is razor-sharp, videos pop in HDR, and switching tasks (game → design → work → browse) feels seamless thanks to the quick response time and vivid panel. Even after many hours of use, I haven’t noticed any eye strain, flicker fatigue, or glare — and the panel still looks brand new. I picked up the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG for my gaming setup and wow, I'm blown away! This 27-inch 1440p OLED is an absolute beast for PC gaming. The blacks are insanely deep and inky – like true black, no gray washout or blooming around bright spots. Colors pop so vividly, especially in HDR; highlights really stand out and everything looks super vibrant. Motion is buttery smooth thanks to the 240Hz refresh rate and near-instant response time. No blur at all, even in fast-paced shooters. Input lag is crazy low, and it handles VRR great (G-SYNC and FreeSync) with barely any flicker if you tweak the anti-flicker setting. Gaming feels incredibly responsive! The glossy screen makes images look sharp and lively, and it gets plenty bright for most rooms (over 1000 nits peak in HDR for small highlights). Build quality is solid too – nice stand with good ergonomics, RGB on the back for that gamer vibe. A few downsides though: The glossy coating means reflections can be distracting if you've got bright lights or windows nearby. Text clarity isn't perfect – there's some color fringing on text due to the subpixel layout, so it's not the best for heavy office work or reading tons of docs. Also, like all OLEDs, there's a burn-in risk, but ASUS has pixel cleaning and screen saver features to help. It's limited to 144Hz over HDMI, so not ideal for next-gen consoles wanting full 4K/120Hz. Overall, if you're a PC gamer looking for top-tier picture quality and smoothness, this is fantastic. I'd give it 5 stars easy for gaming! Just manage brightness and static images to avoid issues. Totally recommend it – upgraded my whole setup!

Excellent monitor! Build quality is superb, colors are amazing, and the refresh rate/motion performance is excellent as well. Truly a premium viewing experience, for both shows/movies and gaming.

The Asus XG27UCDMG is a top tier monitor suitable for gaming and office work. The pixel density is super high making text crisp and clear. No text fringing whatsoever on this monitor. This monitor uses the latest 4th gen QD-Oled panel which significantly brighter than last gen panels. The OSD is very user friendly and the navigation between all the settings is easy enough. Picture quality and colors are better than my older IPS panel. The HDR is very good. However, it is not bright enough at least the default setting. There are other HDR modes that increase the brightness but you lose some picture details. Asus has done a good job releasing firmware update to improve picture quality and user experience, so maybe they're planning to increase brightness at the default (console mode) HDR setting. I'm using this monitor along with my gaming pc to play a wide range of games ranging from fast paced competitive shooting games to story mode games. There is no ghosting whatsoever and the response time is amazing. This is a Freesync Premium Pro monitor that works well with AMD Radeon graphics cards, and it is g-sync compatible, so it will work with Nvidia cards. I did notice that AMD Freesync Premium Pro does not work if you set the game to borderless full screen if you have 3 or more monitors connected. It doesn't seem that it's a monitor issue though since I tested a wide range of other monitors and AMD Freesync Premium Pro did not work with 3 monitor setup unless you set the game to full screen or you downgrade to 2 monitor set up. In that case you can set the game to borderless full screen and Freesync will work as it should. If you play story mode games, I recommend 32" oled monitors but if you play competitive games like shooting or MOBA, then 27" is recommended.

Bought the XG27UCDMG as a upgrade from my 2yr old Asus 1440p OLED PG27AQDM. It still works perfectly but I wanted the 4k for playing on my Xbox Series X. I know 240hz is overkill for a console but the OLED display just beats every other monitor type I have tried in image quality. The XG27UCDMG is also a QD-OLED where my older monitor was a WOLED. The new 4k model just seems to pop with even more color. Everything I have played has looked and ran fantastic on it. Highly recommend the monitor.

If you’ve never seen an oled monitor in person you’ll be blown away. Color and hdr is amazing out of the box, and you can adjust settings further to your liking. I recommend cinema hdr as it has the brightest peaks, so scenes with sunlight and other bright lights look amazing. If you find that highlights are being blown out (sun looks like a giant blob you can try console hdr with dynamic brightness boost disabled, or go to display true black 400 mode for the most accurate and consistent lighting, but both are noticeably darker so I’m not a fan. It’s recommended to only enable hdr when viewing hdr content, but with windows hdr calibration I find that to be not a big deal. Also don’t be intimidated about qd oled if you don’t play in a pitch black room, the whole raised blacks in ambient lighting thing is totally overblown and looks a lot worse on camera than it really is in real life. My only complaint is with the neo promixty sensor, which would sometimes not detect me properly and switch off the screen while I was in the middle of a game. I ended up disabling it and just letting windows time out after 5 minutes which is the same thing anyway.

[Employee of bestbuy] Best monitor for the price, same panel as a 1300$ monitor but usually offered for 950$, I like the stand on this with the built in phone holder and being a flat small center stand takes up less desk space, plus comes with a strong vesa adapter. Build quality is fantastic, color accuracy is fantastic, motion clarity is fantastic, and I love the sensor that checks if I'm actually at my desk or not to prevent burn in. 10/10

This monitor has the best picture quality I’ve ever seen, which is a combination of the 4k res at 27 inches and the glossy QD-OLED screen. Everything with this monitor worked as expected, except the neo-proximity sensor which wouldn’t activate and deactivate reliably. Personally I’m still torn between this model and the PG32UCDMR, which is essentially the same monitor but 32 inches. But either is incredible. The only downside hardware-wise is that it doesn’t come with VESA screws, and the vesa mount is an extra piece that causes the monitor to sit further forward from the monitor arm than one that mounts directly into the back of the monitor.

This monitor was in great condition. No dead pixels or damages which speaks to how well Best Buy handles their monitors. The monitor looks great in 4k and the colors are very vibrant which makes the display so satisfying to look at. This was an expensive purchase but i have no regrets with the product and purchasing experience.

This monitor is stunning in color and colors are very vibrant and contrast of it looks good! and very sharp screen! when playing games or even watching movies. It a great monitor overall hands down especially for my series x. Hdr looks good and sdr looks sharp and vibrant in colors.

I'm currently rocking the XG27ADMG and this monitor. I can say for certain that this monitor is WAYYY better in terms of dealing with text fridging compared to the ADMG just because its a 4k panel. The neo proximity feature is really useful when you are coming back forth using your computer as it turns off after 5,10,15 minutes depending on the distance you are away from the monitor. Other than that, that's the pros. As for the cons, I believe the ADMG panel is slightly more brighter and the colors are more natural. This panel has more a orange tint to skin tones and other things, giving it a more tan look. But heres the thing, the price that this monitor offers is pretty nice as most 4k oleds are about 1.1k+ while this one is about 1000 including tax. Just to note that the monitor does not come with a 2.1 port despite Best buy stating it does. From the reviews and from the website, it states it does not include a 2.1 port which can be a bummer to console users. Other than that, not really useful for pc. Overall, not a bad monitor but I wouldnt say going to 4k is much better UNLESS you do a decent amount of work scrolling or browsing the iternet. Other than, I would go for 1440p and save a bit of money

[Employee of bestbuy] It is definitely an upgrade from when I had my other Asus that was FHD. To switch to this one was a world of difference. Its like having an LG OLED Tv but with the monitor price! Games that are HDR compatible just make the image so surreal, even games that are standard definition run smoothly. I play Grand Turismo and the graphics are pristine! RDR2, although there isn’t a remastered version on the PS5, the game still looks beautiful! This monitor is one of the few things I don’t regret purchasing!

Best Monitor I have EVER owned. As an FPS gamer who plays in 4k this is the best option on the market right now. The image settings on this monitor make it top tier. The new shadow boost settings are a game changer for games with dark areas. Also the color settings for temp & saturation help you bring your game quality to next level. You can make your game look exactly how you want with these settings regardless of how the game actually looks. 10/10 purchase I have had this monitor for almost a year and have zero complaints.

While the unboxing experience could be improved, the monitor delivers on build and screen quality with sharp, crisp visuals ideal for both work and play. The exceptional ergonomics, including tilt, height, and swivel, add to its usability. Despite its premium price point, the 3-year warranty, outstanding screen, and convenient charging and peripheral ports make this a worthwhile investment. My only minor quibble is the red accent, which thankfully doesn't affect the monitor's excellent performance.

Just got a new gaming computer with the RTX 5080 my old LCD 60 Hz monitor wasn’t cutting it anymore. I watched plenty of monitor reviews comparing various monitors. This monitor got the best reviews. With not much space on my desk this 27 inch fits perfectly with my setup. The OLED 240 Hz is just what my setup needed, i run all my games on ultra settings and the colors and sharpness are anazing.

The ASUS ROG Strix 27" 4K QD-OLED monitor is an amazing piece of tech that will impress you right from the start. The resolution (4K) coupled with QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) technology results in really vibrant colors and deep black colors for contrast. The colors feel very accurate and I did not adjust any of the settings. Perfect for Gaming/Work

This monitor is amazing. I tried different brands but asus has the richer colors and deepest blacks. I would totally suggest this monitor to everyone.

Overall a great monitor for the price I mainly play apex and rust with and rtx 3080 and 7600x the overall quality of the display has helped me improve.
