Dude the laptop was great as it was described. My initial concern was that there may be spec problem like you know the box says one thing while the product gets delivered with something.. But that wasn't the case. So on the experience. Apart from the drawback that it doesnt have a camera its a power house and i really mean it. That fast and smooth refresh rate coupled with those beefy Ryzen 9 CPU and a RTX 3060 GPU.... like man you can even play ray traced games. I have a abundant of experience with tech and laptops and PCs and this product for whats its worth is great

i just received my G14 yesterday. Setup was relatively painless and after the usual host of windows updates, driver updates, etc. I was finally able to dive into a few games. This laptop has totally exceeded my expectations. Valheim, RDR 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Destiny 2, among others, run really well with lots of eye candy turned on. The fans do get a little loud under load but with the small size of this laptop compared to the hardware crammed inside I'm not surprised. Under normal use they are barely noticeable and often completely silent. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a gaming laptop in a small form factor.

Where do I begin are you a gamer, a media creator, or a business professional? Well perfect because this is the laptop for you blazing fast incredible battery life I’m talking 13 hours of internet browsing when the screen brightness is turned down and backlight are turned off. Incredible performance super light thermals are good and charges from a dead battery in less then 45 minutes! Additionally the 144hz screen with 100% srgb this laptop is worth every penny if you are buying it on sale or not! From the previous year g14 we are talking about a 40-42% increase in performance along with extended battery life due to thermals and wattage in the upgraded rtx 3060. If you’re contemplating this Laptop and something else consider how light and how cool the laptop is in both design in thermal.

Officially in love with this laptop. I've had mostly 15" laptops and was afraid that this one would feel too small, but after a while you don't even notice a difference. The 3060 mobile GPU is a bit nerfed compared to the desktop version because of heat/power limitations, but that doesn't mean this thing can't handle games. Performance is enough to push games to utilize the 144hz monitor. Battery wise it seems to be good enough, although most people will end up using this thing plugged in majority of the time. Overall, I love this laptop. Probably my favorite of all time. Do yourself a favor and get this thing :)

"If its good enough for gaming, its perfect for everything else" I bought this laptop as a photographer so that i could have a decent daily driver for work on the go. What i received was something that flew FAR beyond my expectations. This thing is amazing, powerful, sleek and smooth. Quickly allows for my work flow to go unbothered when switched back and forth from my custom desktop to my laptop. When gaming the ( not used very often for it) it does get pretty loud and sounds like a small jet on your table, but is to be expected when cooling 3060 on a laptop. All in all. Worth the purchase for photographer using adobe or other programs. Video editing and gaming can get loud and hot. This is your warning.

Got the item as an open box and lucked out it was in almost brand new condition. It was a huge upgrade for me as my old laptop could not go super fast at all (was not a gaming laptop). I play league and some other games from Steam at the moment. It is a bit of an adjust since I am used to having a number pad and webcam already built in. But you will need to purchase a webcam and I got the cheap one that was $40 from Logitech at BestBuy. There are 2 usb ports on the right side and the charging port is on the left side. It is a bit difficult since my outlets are on the left so it has to stretch just a bit. My budget was between 1.2-1.4k and I think it is a wonderful product!

This machine doubles as both my workstation and gaming rig while on the move. It has not let me down with anything I've thrown at it. There are a couple of relatively small downsides I've run into. Device ships with 16GB of RAM, 8 soldered + 8 replaceable. If you choose up to upgrade you don't get full dual-channel RAM capability beyond 16GBs. This is NOT going to be noticeable to 99.999% of users, however, it is there. Also, the device runs a bit hot. Although the device is well-vented and moves serious air, coming from a MacBook Pro, this thing feels very warm regardless of load. All things considered, these are small prices to pay for an extremely capable machine that will run circles around most desktops.

Product looks great from the outside, has nice specs, and from other reviews, also great battery life. However, there are a few gripes that I have after using this laptop: One: the chassis heats up a lot. It doesn't matter what you're doing, whether its gaming or web browsing, the area around the keyboard heats up a lot. Even if you disable CPU boosting and crank the fans up, the keyboard area remains very hot under load. The keyboard itself does not heat up as much, but the area around the keyboard becomes unbearable to leave your palm on. The area around the trackpad doesn't heat up as much, only warms up a bit if you're charging the battery in the process. Two: on the topic of thermals, this laptop does not do a great job. While my laptop certainly did not hit the maximum operating temperature at 105 degrees Celsius under use, I wouldn't say mid to high 80s are acceptable in the long run. Which is why I strongly recommend any new owner to disable processor boosting to keep thermals down and also improve battery life. You will suffer a performance hit, but this laptop sacrifices performance for the thin form factor. Three: the laptop supports USB PD 3.0 charging for one of the type-C ports, which happens to also be the only port that supports display out. PD 3.0 supports up to 100w charging, which is what this laptop can support (as opposed to 65w in the last year's model), but the laptop should not be constantly plugged into USB power. This is because on USB charging, the laptop will switch in between charging and discharging the battery (when you reach the charge limit for the battery) as opposed to using the included AC adapter, where the laptop will automatically switch to power from AC adapter after the battery is charged. You can leave the laptop plugged in even after charging the battery. But on USB charging, the laptop acts as if its running off battery power and will cycle between charging and discharging the battery. This will most likely ruin battery life and should be a point of consideration if you intend to charge with USB PD. Four: these are less of a big deal but these are smaller things that I would like to add. This laptop does not have the anime matrix feature, the back has the holes but under it is just a shiny film. The wifi cards in these laptops also vary. I've heard about some people receiving this laptop with an Intel AX200 wifi card, but mine came with a MediaTek MT7921. Additionally, you will not find this exact laptop configuration anywhere on the Asus site, the closest configurations are the GA401QM models, in case you need a manual for your laptop.

    Powerhouse at a decent price

TLDR: Slight overheating issue is easily resolved (see below), and there's no major reason to get the newest model if this one is discounted. Pros: - Powerhouse at a decent price - Can be charged via its included cord (saving a port) or USB-C - 2 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports make adapters easy but optional - Has HDMI port already, so adapters only needed for other inputs or multiple monitors - Expandable RAM Cons: - Small screen size - Overheating issue (see below) - No ethernet port, but USB-A to Ethernet adapters can be found very inexpensively. Overheating issue: As a few others mentioned, there is a slight overheating issue at first. There are a few ways to resolve this, but the fastest is to go to "Control Panel" > "Edit Power Plan" > Click "Change advanced power settings" > click the plus sign next to "Processor Power Management" > change any values of 100% in the minimum and maximum sections to 99%. General review: Loving this laptop. Yes, a newer version did just come out, but save yourself a few hundred dollars and get this one if it's discounted. The incremental value of the newer model isn't worth the price difference given current market factors. Recommendation is to use an external monitor for detail-oriented games if possible. If you need both USB-A ports, I recommend a USB-C hub with Ethernet, several USB-A, a monitor port of your choice (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.), and optional USB-C for power (if needed). HyperDrive's has middling reviews, though I like TOTU and UGREEN myself.

Bigger upgrade from last gen than i thought. I actually had the RTX 2060 model from last year and sold that to buy this one. This RTX 3060 model is worth the extra cash. Keyboard lighting has been fixed. Response time on the monitor has been improved but not top tier, 120 to 144 refresh not noticeable to me. Still see some ghosting when playing fps games. Main takeaway, size and pricing on this laptop is great. I wish that it had more powerful GPU options but i think they would have to totally modify the design to accommodate a vapor chamber or something.

    Packing more than a punch

8 core, 16 thread AMD 5900HS packs a shocking punch, and a mobile 3060 is more powerful than you think when the processor feeding it frames is that powerful. This laptop is seriously underrated for the price and I am a user well-beyond the needs of an E-Machine. It doesnt love to ray trace, it can do it, but I run Unreal Engine 5 on this laptop and it's performance is unbelievable. I am not the biggest fan of a white laptop but with this much power inside, I can adjust to simple aesthetics. It is absolutely designed for simple gaming: runs Warframe very well, Smite, League of Legends, even Warzone. But as an auxiliary computer for productivity applications its a beast as well.

    A great college laptop

This is a great laptop for any new student that is going off to college. With one of the best CPU's and GPU's in the market, it is able to handle nearly everything that is thrown at it. It also has great battery life as well, lasting up to 8 hours under optimal conditions. It also has a good selection of I/O making it a great choice for students or gamers alike. Despite the screen being only a 1080p IPS panel, it still looks great for games although it lacks a little bit for tasks where screen resolution is key such as photo editing or video editing. However, the matte finish on the screen gives it great viewing angles and little reflections under bright lights.

Overall the laptop is pretty great. Has some customizable features that you can tinker around with. As a gaming laptop obviously you need to have it plugged in or it won't last more than two hours depending on the settings. Gets pretty hot which is to be expected so getting a laptop fan is a must. Very light weight and portable making it easy to carry around, but do fully turn it off before carrying it around or its just going to be silently pumping out hot air. Do have Bluetooth connection issues from time to time. But it's pretty great.
