Many appreciate its compact size, portability, and lightweight design, making it ideal for those on the go. SSD has died after 3 months of use, very disappointing. Otherwise a nice mix of power, performance, and efficiency at this price point. Only other complaints are the weak speakers and lack of webcam. Also runs a little hot.

Bought in August 21 and it's still cooking eggs. For the size and power it's great. Keyboard feels great, power cable in a good spot, finger print reader always works, and no Wi-Fi issues. I haven't run into any battery issues but I wouldn't expect more than a couple hours on a heavy game. It's solid and very small.

Esthetically the laptop is great, specs wise, the laptop is great. The fact that you can game this hardcore on something this size is amazing. That being said, I encountered an issue where my wifi card just won't stay connected to networks. Keeps disconnecting. How Asus managed to muck up something so essential is beyond me. Spent hours trying to resolve the problem, did so much research on forums and YouTube and still nothing helped. For $1500 you'd think they'd have the wifi sorted out. I ensured it wasn't just my network as well, it for sure the laptop. Will be returning tomorrow. Absolutely disappointed. Wanted to love this so bad :(

One of the nicest gaming laptops to own, only drawback is its small screen size and soldered on memory chip, can add more memory but you end up with non dual memory channel upgrades. I would recommend getting the newer model.

An excellent PC for gaming remotely. I mostly play Warzone and Apex, and it runs excellently. It's incredibly lightweight for its specs - this is a feat of engineering. Aside from the digital thumbprint to sign in not working 99% of the time, this is a flawless gaming PC.

This machine is a beast! It plays absolutely everything I’ve thrown at it. It’s not nearly as heavy as I expected. It does get fairly loud when the fans are blowing, but it dissipates heat well and the charger doesn’t get too hot even when running demanding games. Definitely worth the money. Best Windows laptop I’ve ever bought.

I've used the laptop for some weeks now and it is a great buy for the money. Battery life is great and is enough to last me all day with light use like web browsing and editing documents. It has the power when I need it to do some serious gaming and 3D work like in COD: Cold War, Halo MCC, and work in Blender and Unity. Can't go wrong.

I have a great rig at home and wanted to have something on the go. It plays all the games I love on my desktop perfectly! These titles include League of Legends, Rust, Rocket League, and Monster Hunter. Rust being the most demanding game it does get hot and is a little loud, but it averages around 70 frames which is nuts.

Have been a great experience so far. The system in itself is tiny and lightweight (not as light as macbooks of course, but light compared to any other gaming computer.) I haven't tested out the battery life completely although I use it for nearly 3-4 hours without plugging it in and the battery hasn't really touched it half mark yet.

It was a powerful computer but kept having issues. For example, within the first month there was a software glitch that caused me not to be able to log in and I had to factory reset it. Within a year and a half it broke and would not turn on.

Great overall build with a nice keyboard and great performance. Great value for the parts that are included, this laptop will handle anything you throw at it with good temperatures as well. Only issue is that the wifi chip will sometimes not wake up when the laptop is put into sleep mode. A quick restart will resolve this issue though!

I've never had a gaming laptop (and this is my first PC in years). So far it has been a great laptop. I use it for work, gaming, and everything - and there hasn't been a task that slows it down. It's been years, but I just might be a pc gamer again. The only real complaint is no built-in camera for videocalls (which is an everyday part of work).

Bought this during Student Deals and I am definitely impressed with the performance. Being a college student, the weight of this laptop is light and compact for everyday travel from class to class. During my free time, I would play triple A titled games and this laptop has more than enough power from its graphic card to handle it.

Decent value, considering you get the R9 5900HS, a 3060(!!!), 1TB storage, and 16GB. Hardware wise it's an amazing product. It works wonderfully, it's fast and pretty too (screen has a little to be desired, but it's made up for by everything else), and for a gaming laptop it is sharp and low key. What more could you want in this laptop? A lot. PROS: -Beautifully made. -GREAT specs for the price. -Gaming laptop that looks like a regular laptop! -Keys are clicky. CONS: -My biggest and really my only complaint about this machine is, I think one of the most important when you're spending a lot of money on a computer; Build quality. It's not good. The laptop feels good on the outside with its aluminum body, but it feels more like plastic on the inside and quite cheap, trackpad included. But, that's a minor gripe really, the real QC issue comes internally. I went through 3 DIFFERENT UNITS and all had the same defect. When the laptop was at any sort of incline there was a rattle on the right side, and it seemed to come from the fan. Not like what you see posted on YouTube and Reddit, where people say it's bearings going bad, more like something getting caught in the fan. No amount of compressed air, cleaning, brushing, you name it can get whatever it is out. Couldn't be solved without removing fan and cooling pipes, which consumes the warranty (which for me is the biggest issue, considering none of these devices were more than a few hours out of the box, new- except one. It's not a good look when it immediately needs to be RMA'd). 1) The first unit I got was open box and it had this issue. It was quite loud and annoying, ASUS told me to have Best Buy warranty it. After spending $400 on an enhanced warranty I said nay nay, I shall not do that. I'll get a new one instead! I lost the very nice discount, but for what I was getting I said absolutely, it's worth it! 2) Second one, straight out of the box, things were good- for five minutes. After I set it up I decided to test the fans for the same sound. At first things were going well, and then I listened very closely and there it was. I went and told my fiancé and came back to try again. This time it was significantly worse and louder. I turned it off and contemplated what it meant to be human and decided to turn it on again and see if it had somehow resolved itself after shutting off. Nope. Even worse, again. Returned that very day. 3) Next day I got another one. This time I had high hopes- surely the third one would be fine, right? Third times the charm? Nah. Same thing. Much quieter, but it was very very slowly getting worse and worse. What made this whole ordeal particularly bad is that this thing was brand spankin' new out of the box! And it still had this issue. I assumed that maybe this is normal (I have never heard something like it before come from a laptop so I doubt it). But, a day later it was getting a bit worse. I decided that I couldn't handle it, that my brand new $1500 laptop shouldn't be doing this right out of the box, especially on #3. So, I returned it. I was heartbroken, because I LOVED the G14. It was exactly what I wanted, but I wanted a commuter laptop, one that would last me a while. I know that in the future it wouldn't be as powerful, but I just wanted something to casually play small games on when I was traveling, but the three units I went through destroyed my confidence in being able to have it more than a year which doesn't meet my needs. I know that gaming laptops tend to be built to be beaten, but this thing was going to get moderately light use as I have a gaming desktop. But they couldn't even make it a day without that... sound. I couldn't see myself using it in two years, and I couldn't see myself getting more than a year without having it repaired or something, which is a shame. I hear things that remind me of it and it makes me anxious. -Keyboard lighting sucked lemons. Right idea, but the actual key design made it poopy and hard to see.
