Love this laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's really an amazing gaming laptop - small, light, quiet and perfect for doing just about anything. I do have one issue... It won't go to sleep. It appears to be an issue with this model/year/version as there are many others that have posted the same issue on reddit. I'm still happy with it :)

Very powerful
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow this is a really powerful system for the price. Runs anything I try to play at 1080p. It looks sharp and sleek as well. It does not have RGB which I am totally ok with. I personally enjoy the white lighting more. Can be noisy underload but that is expected of something this size.

BIG things come in small packages.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this computer for photo editing and gaming. ITS A BEAST. The 99% sRGB gives good color. Ryzen 9 and 3060 power through my photo editing needs with ease and bring it on home with flawless warzone play at the end of the day. Very satisfied with my purchase. If your on the fence, JUST DO IT!

Great laptop bang for your buck
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop excelent gaming performance, 144hz works perfect and a 1080p screen is the best for these size. No fancy RGB lights on keyboard make it look more professional and less gamer wich is a plus in some cases Temps are fine, fan is a bit loud at full rpms but tolerable

Problem with speakers
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop was nice when I had it a year ago. I like that it was made of metal instead of plastic but it had no webcam and I had to return it cause the speakers weren't working good

Schoolwork and gaming powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is great is you want a reasonably sized laptop to use for school and still powerful enough for games! I love that it has an ssd too, 1 tb is not exactly a lot when it comes to games but still good to have especially since the ssd means quick boot times which is important when you have class and want to be able to put it away and pull it back out at a moments notice. I have not yet played many games on it yet but with the mobile 3060 being on par with a gtx 1060 I know it will pull through when I need a break from school work and want to play games with little compromise. Battery life so far has been good too, as long as I have it charged up before hand I have not needed to worry about finding an outlet yet. Your mileage may vary. I have noticed a bit of ghosting with the display when it comes to quickly moving objects in some games though,

Excellent choice for gaming.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a freaking beast. It’s handled every game I’ve thrown at it with some of the best graphics I’ve seen from a laptop. It has a very responsive trackpad, and a great keyboard. My only complaint is that it’s fans are VERY loud, but that can be overlooked if you use a headset.

Just what I needed! (Gaming, Video Editing)
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus 14" is a pretty great laptop after coming from a standard 700 dollar HP laptop. I wanted to play more games such as Valorant and Genshin Impact, learn how-to video edit, and possibly even stream too one day! I tested everything above except the streaming part and I got to say, it has blown my expectation :). My only wish was that it had a higher refresh rate and a better backlit keybaord (which maybe have noted). It's only useful when it's really dark, but I usually use my laptop at a well-lit area anyway. Overall, if you are looking for a PORTABLE, reliable, and a multi-use laptop, this may just be the perfect laptop for you. **Note: I am not a PC/Laptop expert. Consider me a just above average PC user :).

Great do it all portable laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here’s the info that you want to know. - The 3060 is an 80w max-Q. - SSD is an SK hynix HFM001TD3JX013N - Usb-c charges up to 100w - Depending on the production date, you may get an Intel or mediatek wifi card. The Intel is preferred. - This doesn’t have the led matrix display. - 1080p 144hz makes more sense with this gpu and has plenty of screen real estate if you keep under 150% on the scaling - 8Gb soldered memory, so only one stick is upgradeable -the screen will lift the chassis of the work surface to allow better cooling, which is a nice design feature. I’ve not felt like I needed a larger screen. The keyboard is surprisingly decent. I prefer laptops without webcams as they’re all pretty junk anyway, so if you really need one, an external usb will look and sound better anyway. Be on the look out for sales and open box and you can get a very good deal on this.

Great price per performance but too many drawbacks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop for the price, no doubt. Didn't really care about the RTX 3060, nor need it. It was just the bonus for the CPU and price point that I really wanted. It just had some drawbacks I couldn't live with so I returned it. 1. The build quality feels very cheap, plastic and creaky. 2. No web camera. 3. Too much "gamer" aesthetic that I just couldn't see using in a professional environment. It doesn't look that bad in pictures, but once I had it in front of me for a few days, I couldn't see myself bringing it into a meeting with a client. Whether it was the "gamer font" or the "Republic of Gamers" stamped on it (which I was going to cover up). Just too "gamery" for me. 4. Fan noise which was the real deal breaker. The fans are basically always on and it takes some work to get them to a minimum while not absolutely killing the performance. The "Silent" setting will literally drop the performance by about 60%. I had the best Geekbench 5 and PassMark benchmarks with the "Windows" and "Performance" profiles. Not sure what the point of "Turbo" is since the performance wasn't any better than those two profiles and was incredibly loud. Even with the two profiles that are actually worth using, the fan noise is quite audible and annoying to me, and likely anyone sitting close to me trying to work in the office. Yeah, I'm a real stickler for fan noise. Honestly the 5900HS wasn't much faster than the HP ProBook x360 435 G8 I had for a few months (1440 vs 1510 single-core and 7300 vs 7500 multi-core), was pretty quiet even at full-bore, and was completely user upgradable (SSD and RAM x2). However, HP installs spyware through HP Audio Control and HP Dynamic Audio, so I can't recommend any HP products at this point in time until they get that fixed. The Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga is about the most quiet PC laptop I've come across, but then you are using Intel's silicon which isn't worth buying in the < 15" format. But nothing compares to a MacBook Air M1... just smokes everything under any sustained load I've thrown at it... and completely silent. The only game I play on the go is FFXIV and it handles it at 60FPS in most cases at "Standard" settings. If you don't need the dGPU, and just need a high performing laptop at a decent price, I'd recommend a 5800U/5850U laptop (if you can find them) or an Apple M1. We'll see how this i7-1195G7 actually is, since it might actually make Intel competitive if these cherry picked benchmarks are actually accurate (probably not). Chances are if you are looking at this laptop you want a dGPU, want something affordable, don't want Intel garbage, want top performance, want a small form factor, don't mind the aesthetic nor the fan noise. This is your best option right now.

great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast, display is awesome and crystal clear, sound is amazing. I've been able to play everything that I've wanted to play. Only downside is it tends to get super hot super fast. The keyboard is a bit hard to see in the daylight even with the backlighting.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop overall, performance was great and had no issues. Only downside as others mentioned is the heat blowing out towards the display and it getting hot. Never bothered me though, I only returned this item to get a version with a larger screen

in the top 5 laptops around
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the second laptop that i ever owned. the first one was a cheaper asus laptop from around 2013. it had a celeron n2830... or something similar. so for me, this is a big difference!! its like having a cheap toyota and then getting a ferrari... so far, so good. i havent had any issues. except for when i first played a few games the first day, i notice it got hot. i read that its normal for the cpu to handle that kind of heat, but since im not spoiled when it come to FPS, i limited the FPS to 60, and set the in game settings below ultra. and now, the highest temp i get is around 70-80c max for cpu, and with the gpu, its around 50-60c. everything is smooth and fast... i like everything about this laptop. well worth the price for what it can do, with a nice build. doesnt feel cheap at all... good job asus, amd and nvidia!

Happy with my asus laptop from bestbuy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was 1500 dollars. Very fast. The machine’s display is 1080p, but has a full size hdmi port that handles 4K. Light weight. Lower power requirement and runs cooler than last years model with an intel cpu and 2160. Asus provides a lot of online support.

Compact Powerhouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast little piece of tech. Nice keyboard, great battery life in a compact form factor. Does get a little warm when gaming. Great combination of an AMD Ryzen 9 and 3060 gpu. Why go with intel anymore?

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a gamer, I'm a photographer. It gets pretty hot, but it works really well. I love how you can change from performance to silent so it works best for what I need it to work for. Best purchase I’ve ever made.
