The performance from the laptop is decent. It runs games smoothly at good FPS. The cons that I have is the lack of ports, the small screen but most importantly the overheating issues. There is times where you can't keep your hand on the side of it because of how hot it gets. The keyboard also gets very toasty.

Not a bad machine for media creation either, I do wish the display was a little brighter and more crisp and the device felt more rugged. Like a MacBook screen feels tougher, however its got a amazing keyboard and pretty much everything else all around not a bad buy at all

This laptop computer is an absolute beast. Got it around the new year for 1200$. While I would absolutely recommend this laptop, if I weren't in a hurry I would wait for the new models to come out. The next gen laptops with 3070's are suppose to start at ~1500$ which is what this is currently priced at. Anything around 1300$ is an absolute steal for a laptop with a 3060 GPU in it.

For the average gamer this is fantastic, it will play Call of duty Cold War without a sweat in 1080p, 1440p, and if you turn down the graphics you can even game in 4k at 60 fps. The internal display is a super smooth 144hz with a full HD resolution of 1080p, and in most games with medium to high settings you can easily get over 120 fps. The laptop version of the RTX 3060 runs at a peak power of 80 watts on this laptop in my testing, with a slight overclock. This is slightly slower than the desktop version of the GPU, but it will still tackle most games with ease. If you hook it up to an external monitor with resolutions like 4k, you will start to notice that you can't run AAA games at high settings. But by using the screen built into this laptop you will not have a problem gaming at high settings, unless it's cyber punk 2077 lol. the CPU is also very fast in this computer with clock speeds going past 4.5 GHz frequently even on demanding loads. Even while playing cyberpunk the CPU don't even use more than 60% of its power. Overall great computer and I definitely will be checking out future versions of this brand.

It has been a month since I bought the laptop. This is really fast device. It allows me to work with design programs and alternate it with a word processor without any delay. It offer a bunch of options to personalize the computer. Although it doesn´t have a webcam, you can download the ASUS app to your mobile and use it as your webcam. Definitely, a good option to solve the absence of the camera.

Pro I do Cinematography and photography so when I color grade my work and transfer it over to a different display it matches because it has %99 RGB color accuracy coverage... Also I can't get over how fast this laptop is, it doesn't lag when I'm editing . . Cons I hate that when I disconnect the AC power the performance drops and the brightness of the display also drops making my colors inaccurate

This computer is lightning fast and plays virtually anything I throw at it; however, 2 weeks after purchasing it the Bluetooth went out. A quick restart fixed it and I thought that was the end of it. One week later, I'm taking it to Geek Squad for a repair - No Wireless Connectivity. No Wifi or Bluetooth. It was covered under warranty, but with the employee shortage a quick parts swap (they were in stock at the repair center) took 2x days. Once I got it back, it worked great until I tried removing my BT devices that were still saved. They don't remove once they're paired. Now I'm contacting support again. Overall, its a fantastic computer but be wary - maybe I got a dud but for as much as this was there shouldn't be any duds. Completely unacceptable at the price point. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but they kept my device past its returnable date with a 12 day gap in service updates.

So far, I'm loving this laptop. It's light, but feels durable. I've had no lag or other slowness issues, the fan so far has been really quiet - my last one the fan would get very loud whenever I played a game or opened Clip Studio Paint. I'm getting used to having a smaller screen - usually I'd buy one with a 17" screen, but honestly I haven't felt like it's changed much. Definitely recommend.

I was nervous to buy a gaming laptop. I have been using Alienware desktop. So this is my first gaming laptop. Want to be able to bring Xbox games with me anywhere. The reason I went with Asus is because of the price and it has the same performance as Alienware. Very impressed with this laptop. I use this laptop for gaming and VMware. It can handle everything and is very reliable

The laptop performs as expected, the speaker quality is excellent, and it has plenty of storage. I've been playing some AAA games on it and it can reach 140 fps in many of them if I tune the settings. The I/O is decent, but I wish that I could trade the HDMI port for an ethernet jack. Other than that, I would 100% recommend this to anybody looking for a good laptop.

I Bought this for my daughter for Xmas and so far so good. It does get hot but with the fans running and the vent design it isn’t critical. I have read about ways to decrease the workload just by changing the settings. As I stated, it’s only been alive for one week but with all of the upgrades I expect it to last her 3-5 years before technology decreases its value.

I was really hoping for this laptop to be the one because it had all of the right stuff listed. It was a good deal at $200 off its usual price and that got you a 1tb PCIe SSD and a mobile Ryzen 9, which I thought was super unlikely to find in other machines for that price. I also loved that it came in a portable body that wasn't very heavy but could still handle gaming with a respectable RTX 3060 but then I noticed some things that got very annoying. First for the good: 1. It's a great size and weight for portability 2. The keyboard is actually very nice to use and has a good responsive feeling throughout its use 3. There are a decent amount of ports and I especially loved that one of the usb-c ports took up to 60 watt charging so I didn't have to use the included brick charger if I wasn't gaming 4. It is ridiculously uncommon to find gaming laptops (or even laptops in general) with upward firing speakers but this actually came with a decent pair of 2 up firing and the rest bottom facing, which actually made streaming shows and movies enjoyable without having to wear headphones 5. The battery life was very decent for a gaming laptop. It would get me estimations of around 7 hours of use thanks to some of the included software optimizations through Asus' armory crate. After being unplugged, the laptop would automatically drop down to 60hz and would disable the dedicated gpu very easily. 6. And finally, the screen was very nice to use, it's only 1080p for this model but that's totally good for a 14" screen. Also 144hz was great and it got to an "ok" brightness level. Now for the bad things that couldn't be ignored: 1. OMG...THE FINGERPRINT READER IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!! I want to clarify that I had a model before and then swapped it out because of this issue but it still gives me the same HORRIBLE results. The reader only works like 1 out of 10 times and I am usually just left with it telling me to either try with a different finger or that my sensor may be dirty and needs to be cleaned. It has no problem at all registering my prints in the first place and even when I try to register the same print more than once, it's smart enough to detect that and say that I can't do a single print more than once but trying to use the fingerprint reader to unlock the device is so obnoxiously frustrating. FYI my fingers aren't dirty or chipped or anything like that, they work perfectly find on my MacBook fingerprint reader 99.99% of the time. I am not over reacting when I say this reader is absolute junk. 2. Like I said before, this has a decent selection of ports but why do some companies think it's ok to put the only usb-a ports on the right side? A majority of people are right handed and having the usb plug for my mouse and headset stick out the right side, getting in the way of moving my mouse was so annoying that I just plugged in a usb-c dongle on the left to get them out of the way 3. This thing needs to be updated an insulting amount of times when you first get it. Other than the usual windows updater, there is also the MyAsus app and the Armory Crate app that are used to update certain drivers like the fingerprint reader, motherboard bios, wifi card, etc. With the Armory Crate app, you need to update that software itself before you can get the updates for the essential drivers to certain components and features but for some reason it would make me update it, restart the computer, and then tell me that there is still a newer version to update to and restart again until you actually reached the latest version. This wasn't optional because the Armory Crate app is what controlled turning down the refresh rate and disabling the 3060 when the machine wasn't plugged in, in order to save battery. The MyAsus app also has an update section but it would say that the update failed and to try again and again until it randomly decided to work (this was for updating the BIOS). 4. While I did say the speakers were great, this is only after enabling the dynamic profile in the included dolby atmos app, otherwise they would sound very soft and quiet, with very little detail. There was also an issue where the speakers would go out of sync with what was playing on things like Netflix and Hulu by a full 2 seconds and the only way to fix was by reloading the page (this happened on Chrome and Firefox). I think that finally getting all the software and drivers updated through their included apps fixed that issue cause I don't see it come up recently. 5. Closing the lid doesn't put the laptop to sleep right away. Even after all the updates, if I was watching a show and had to step away, I would pause it and then close the laptop to put it to sleep but then even when it was closed, I would here the show I was watching start playing again through the speakers and it took around 30 seconds of it being closed for it to stop. 6. No webcam. I guess they just did it to cut costs because there is plenty of space in the top bezel. Shouldn't be acceptable nowadays to not have a webcam, even just a low quality one. 7. The main game I play on the go is Valorant and I was surprised that this wasn't able to always reach the max refresh rate on most maps when all the settings were turned to low. It would stay in the area of 100-120 fps but it struggled to reach 144fps for a not very graphically intensive game. 8. I saw a few others complain about this but occasionally it does not detect any wifi networks. It doesn't happen often but occasionally I will boot it up and it'll say that no wifi networks are available until I restart the machine. In conclusion, I really wanted this to be the perfect laptop for me because it didn't have to just be good for gaming but I've seen that Asus has some SERIOUS quality control concerns with some of their ROG laptops. If you do pick one up, I recommend that you be very picky and test everything because you shouldn't have to settle for defects or low quality parts. If it doesn't meet your satisfaction, maybe swap it out and try again but seeing as I already did that, I am just giving up on this model and hoping they do better.
