I purchased this beast for 1200 and after using it for a month, I have to say that I am impressed. It has managed to run all the games that I have thrown at it. Assassin's Creed odyssey runs as smooth as butter. So all the games before that should have no issue. Heating is the only issue. I recommend buying a good cooling pad.

Works wonderfully in Win10 home for gaming. Absolutely beautiful gaming experience. The RTX card is a beast as isthe Ryzen 9. Wifi and bluetooth, as well as the finger print reader on the power button don't work under Linux (ubuntu). Allegedly fixes are coming in Linux 5.12 kerne for the wifi and bluetooth, missing them out of the box isn't a great experience, even if I just plug in a USB adapter, The Ryzen 7 version of the G14 is fully supported, so it's likely ASUS or their supplier are just slow with the drivers. Support for USB PD means it can charge from common USB C laptop chargers. It's enough to charge the battery while using it for desktop or web browsing or other lite use. Gaming will use much more energy then USB-PD can deliver and will still run out the battery. Construction seems solid, the screen hinge seems good, the speakers sound fantastic. Even at full price it would be a good value, but the discount for the open box made this a great purchase for me.

I have this laptop for almost 2 years already and it has been great.

Delightful. Really feels like something on an entirely other level, right from opening up the very clever packaging. The display is jawdropping. Everything is fast, snappy, crystal clear. Even the standard round of driver and windows updates were done and installed in an absurdly brief period. I've only just begun to play with it, but I couldn't be more pleased.

WI-FI network adaptor kept coming back then disappearing for no apparent reason…worked first couple of days, then went out for a few days, then reappeared when I walked into Best Buy, then disappeared when I got home….and then worked again the morning geek squad was scheduled to arrive at my home…ughghh….No obvious software update to explain it. Net/net: Could be software related or hardware defect. Who knows? Point is, if it is hardware related, what else will go wrong when I start challenging it with heavy software? Good price, good looking, powerful and excellent in terms of speed but a little wary now. I have 5 weeks to decide if I want to return it for a full refund based on Best Buy’s holiday promotion…..I will make a decision soon.

Great laptop for the money. Perfect size and amazing performance.

The perfect blend of gaming and notebook. I use the laptop for my college work and I also use this to game. It would have been awesome if this version had the Matrix mode, but it's an excellent product to go for especially if you're a college student who does heavy gaming.

This laptop is indeed VR Ready. I use a Valve Index with it (you'll need a DisplayPort to USB-C adapter) Fans get kinda loud when playing VR, but that's not too surprising. Less noticeable in VR gaming when you're standing away from the laptop itself.

Got an Openbox-Excellent. Very Good All round laptop. I am Gamer and an Software Engineer. So, I wanted Powerful and Portable. This Ticks all the boxes. Battery Life is Insane, getting 11-12 hrs after tweaking. That said, very much improved from 2020 model. Below are some major changes. 1. 144hz low response to 120hz high respone panel. 2. Complete Silent vs always running fans. 3. RTX 3060 vs RTX 2060 (Observed 30% increase in framerate) 4. Better cooling vs always Hot running. FINAL THOUGHT:- THIS LAPTOP COMPLETES ALL NEED. YOU WILL CARRY THIS LAPTOP ALWAYS EVERYWHERE AS COMPARED TO OTHER GAMING LAPTOP.
