The only problem comes from the inability to put the laptop to sleep. From my understanding, the g14 had this same problem for years and asus still hasn’t figured it out. I’ve, on several occasions, shut the laptops lid and thrown it in my bag and come back to find it burning hot and almost dead. This one issue has almost ruined this laptop for me, since I assume when I shut the lid the computer will sleep. I just started using hibernate instead, but it takes so long to boot. If they fixed this issue, this would be a 5 star laptop.

It might have been a one off since I purchased this item as an open box. I would say give it a try, test it out for a few days to see if it works for you. Keep your receipt and be aware of how many days you have left to exchange or refund it, if it does not work out.

You're paying for the portability of a 14in laptop. The initial problems were poor light bleed and subpar Mediatech Wifi/BT that dissappears. That I can handle. The problem: The Laptop started turning itself on in hibernation mode, closed lid, and it was burning the keycaps into my screen. Now there's a white line across my screen. ASUS Warranty is terrible. They're reporting it as consumer's fault, and gave me a 1mo warranty on top for a bad review. Great laptop. When it works. Will not buy it again.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.

The back of the screen lifts up the keyboard base when is open and it has no rubber or protection making contact with the surface. Perhaps, there's something I don't know or understand. Other than that. I'm happy.

And if lucky you'll get a free 1 month gamepass ultimate as part of their promotion right now. The thing that could be better of course would be the black matte finish instead of white. But if you are fine with white colored laptops then it is fine, It is an Asus ROG laptop after all.

The only challenge was that it only came with half of the charging cord. The piece that connects the transformer to the wall plug was not included, but we have several old Hewlett Packard cords around and we just pilfered one from those.
