Customers are impressed with the ROG Zephyrus 14" Gaming Laptop's performance, graphics capabilities, and long battery life. Many appreciate its compact size, portability, and lightweight design, making it ideal for those on the go. However, some users note that the device can get warm and produce noticeable fan noise during use. The lack of a webcam and some concerns about the keyboard backlight are also mentioned.

First Gaming laptop, loving it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing laptop, it's my first gamer laptop and I love it!! Even in high performance the speaker noise is not too loud. Speaker Sound: 10/10 Screen: 10/10 Keyboard and feel: 10/10 Overall: 10/10 Totally recommended.

Highly recommend, especially if on sale/open box.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought an open box unit in store. Worked as described with impressive performance. This computer can run a bit warm depending on your gaming settings and if you're using a laptop stand to help with cooling. Keyboard feedback is wonderful despite the more "gamer" inspired key shapes and legends.

Instant Disappointment - Overheating
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product but returned it in a day. The heating vent is focused towards the screen. I just played one game - Dota2 which is relatively lower graphics than COD. The heat was through the roof. I would rather buy a Mac mini for the price which works just fine for this game. I used a HP pavilion 15 T, which was a 6 year old laptop which emits lesser heat than compared to this one. I was instantly disappointed when the heating was so much. I was using a monitor to play and still felt hot. Wonder how hot it would be if I played directly on the laptop! But overall design is amazing. Very sleek and light. Doesn’t feel like a gaming laptop, more suitable for heavy work setting. Amazing specs for the price though.

Excellent For 14" Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Asus knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to aesthetics and packing. The machine performs great, quiet. If there is one gripe I would like to see in future models is the ability to expand storage to have more than 1 drive instead of 1 NVME SSD.

Desktop replacement?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using a high-end touchscreen convertible laptop for the past two years, I've been browsing what's out there so I can replace my laptop when something significantly better comes along. When I had the opportunity to pick up this laptop, I reviewed the specs and jumped on it. It didn't meet all of my criteria, but it exceeded most of my requirements so I decided to give it a try. I've been on this quest for a laptop that could be a desktop replacement for years; I prefer to have a consistent working platform, but I have needs that a normal laptop couldn't meet! My previous laptop is pretty awesome -- it's a touch-screen convertible 15.6" with an i7 core processor. I upgraded it to 32gb RAM and a 1TB m.2 drive. I absolutely love that laptop except for two shortcomings -- even though it's super slim and sleek, it's just a bit too big to be as mobile as I want it to be. Even though it's a power-house, it struggles to play games. Fortunately I have an awesome gaming desktop, but there you go. Not a 100% desktop replacement. The specifications of this Zephyrus are phenomenal and exceed both my laptop and my desktop in key areas -- the processor and video are beasts. Compared to my previous laptop as a desktop replacement, I gain power, game play, and portability. I lose the touch screen, number pad, and max RAM capacity, but I think that's a good trade. In addition, the touch screen was super glossy, I just couldn't find any way to reduce the glare, so it was really frustrating to (try to) play games or watch movies on the laptop screen. The Zephyrus is the opposite. The screen is matte, no reflection at all. One drawback -- no thunderbolt. When I plug it into a thunderbolt dock, or even a high-current USB charger, the Armoury Crate app that fine tunes the performance warns about "USB C" charging and recommends that you don't use the GPU. And -- performance through one of my thunderbolt docs to display port video suffers. However, when I use my other thunderbolt doc to dual HDMI, it works just fine. I'll have to do more testing and experimenting, but my use case probably isn't the same as yours. The laptop does have an HDMI output which works just fine, and my gaming peripherals do function perfectly when the laptop is plugged into my docks through USB C. Note -- there's two USB C ports. Only one of them charges the laptop. When I launch games, the fans fire up. It does get a bit loud, but it's a lovely white noise, so it's not so offensive. I have sound going when I'm playing games so I can't hear the fans at all. Onboard speakers sound really good. I don't get any subwoofer thump from it, but I don't really expect to. It has a reasonable range and the sound is pretty clear and balanced. It has no webcam! But I think that's a bonus personally. I'd much rather use an external cam when I want it than have Asus waste the space and resources just to have a mediocre cam and a vulnerability to spying. I haven't had any issues with battery life so far; I've used it on my lap in front of the TV for up to six hours at a time, and it looks like the battery life is down to 33%, but I haven't done any formal battery life testing. I'm really happy with it so far. I've stress-tested it by playing Borderlands 3, Grim Dawn, Elder Scrolls Online, and a few different versions of Assassin's Creed. I also tested its horsepower with Photoshop Elements, managing my library of almost 50,000 photographs, doing graphic manipulation, while running Docker with a couple of web servers running. Outlook 365 locked up a couple of times, but otherwise everything else ran smoothly. Might have been the Azure outage anyway. So, the final verdict is, this thing is awesome. It's a keeper, and I think it'll do just fine replacing my laptop and desktop. Now I just need to find a home for those computers!

It's a laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid laptop, but it has overheating issues, but I can't really blame the laptop as I live in AZ and the summers are brutal. I don't use the laptop off dock, so no real opinion on Battery Life or Display.

Make sure to check for updated drivers
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took me a bit of effort to sort out the drivers... if you have any issues with this laptop, check online for the most up to date version of the drivers. That helps. Everything works great since then, and I like the elevated design.

Workhorse
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is not a slouch. Very fast, awesome computer for music production and gaming. It does run hot out of the box. But you can adjust setting on windows and asus armory crate to make it not run hot. There is video tutorials on youtube to help with this issue

Good laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first gaming laptop and it is fair quality- its lightweight and silent for low performance things. The battery goes down pretty quick and theres a fail to load programs a lot.

Powerful, lightweight, sleek
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What more can you ask more. This lightweight laptop is packed with power with a AMD Ryzen 9 5900, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB of ram and 1000 GB hard drive. It handled all my games very well. Mostly games from my xbox game pass. Had lots of room to have all your favorites downloaded. Just add good internet and a gaming mouse and you are good to go. I experienced very smooth game play with most settings on high. Also did some video editing with ease. This laptop was geared for gaming but it can handle a lot more. I found the size and weight to be great for traveling. And I love the looks of it too. As for ports its has two USB and two USB-C and it even has an HDIM port plus a 3.5mm headphone. It also has a good battery life and never got to hot for my lap. All in all I'm very happy with this portable gaming laptop.

Great Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first gaming pc, laptop or desktop. Great laptop and not just for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am completely satisfied with the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus gaming laptop. Lightweight enough to take anywhere and the way the screen sets up are just two of the unexpected surprises of this laptop. I never considered ASUS or a gaming laptop before and am glad I listened to the sales associate.

Powerful compact upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this guy for almost 2 months and I have to say completely satisfied. Bought this guy for $1275 on a 4th July sale as Excellent Open Box and ran just as new so definitely got a steal. This is my first high spec pc, I wanted something for work and play its perfect for both.

Solid pick for college laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome machine for its price. While not gonna lie I dislike the color choice and the lack of color options (Prism Black please), everything else is solid. Side note, if you plan on using this outside, it's not recommended. The peak brightness of this laptop is, uh, not that good.

Love My ASUS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love, Love My Asus it runs very fast, graphics is nice etc. The only thing I was upset about at first was that it didn't have a built in camera but learned through the MyAsus app that I could use my cell phone as webcam and also make calls from my cell. Other than that I am in love.

Everything is great, but the speakers are shot.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing device, zippy and powerful. Does everything that I need plus more! Only issue I had was the speakers are shot. They sound really low even at max volume. However since I normally that use a headset, it's not something I really care about. Amazing device regardless!!!
