Many appreciate its compact size, portability, and lightweight design, making it ideal for those on the go. Didn't work (Open Box)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is more of a poor review about Best Buy's Open Box policy, than it is about the laptop. I can't really offer a review of the laptop because it didn't work when I turned it on. The item was listed as Open Box - Excellent Condition and was marked down about 40%. I thought I was getting a really good buy for a really good laptop. I was super excited I found it and equally excited when I got it home. My excitement changed to disappointment, however when I turned it on and started to setup Windows and found out the Network Card did not work. And since there is no Ethernet port on the laptop. I couldn't even get through the setup. I contacted ASUS tech support and he had me try several resets, but nothing worked. He told me the Network Card was most likely defective. I probably could have just bought a new Network Card myself and installed it, but by that time I was super annoyed. I ended up returning it the next day and ordered a different Laptop with lower specs for around the same price, but in New Condition. Best Buy should list Open Box items as Excellent Condition, if they have not checked the item to make sure it functions correctly. Open Box for me has always meant that the item was returned for whatever reason and is no longer New, but it still works. That was not the case for this laptop.

Crash using external monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I really want to give it more stars but cannot because the laptop crashes when I play any games using my external monitor. Contacted ASUS support with a log file attached and they said I should connect the external monitor only with the lid open. Really!!? Never had problems closing the lid on older laptops, then why with a new one? It's a great configuration laptop but provided you plan on just using the 14inch screen and not an external one you should be ok. I really wanted this to workout but even tech support seems like there is no other option.

Best laptop in this size factor, but issues arose
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the size of this laptop, and its performance was great - but I had catastrophic issues within 3 weeks. First the laptop would randomly shut off at one point (only browsing the web) and the wifi card went haywire. I was only able to fix it after an hour of messing around. Then the audio would have a 8+ second delay.... and no fix insight, So I returned and got a new one. The new one out of the box was reaching 95C when web browsing..... If you get a good unit you'll love this laptop, but QC for this model seems to be lacking

Posted .Dear MattDeezly,
We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused you.
All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, these random problems. Normally, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.
Issues from the first laptop will possibly be resolve by updating Windows and ensuring internet servie is stable since poor internet connection will definitely cause stability and performance issue.
About the thermal issue, the laptop will generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely speak the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.
If you need more information or further assistance with the warranty for the product, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are always welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat.
Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

laptop not working
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had these laptop for few months with no issue but now on start up the screen is black, the laptop is on because the keys are on, if I hold the power button it turns off. I plugged my laptop to an external monitor to see if the issue is the screen but on the external monitor it said "no signal" so I know it is not the screen. The laptop gets really hot now when I turn it on with a black screen

Good but bad screen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great machine with a terrible screen. The ghosting is so bad, don't expect to pull 180 noscopes with this thing. Other than that it's really solid. A shame they can't do a 3ms screen.

Black screen
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I charge the laptop, turn it on and nothing. The screen is black, restarted multiple times. The Corntana voice comes in and talks, only picks up about half of what I say, and nothing else. The laptop heats up incredible fast, almost making the sides untouchable. Not to mention the problems I had when having it shipped. (UPS side not Bestbuy)

Loved it for a year ... then the warranty expired
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked this laptop very much for nearly a year. About 11 months after I bought it, I noticed the battery didn't charge to 100%. Right when the 1-year warranty expired, a fan started to go. The tech at Best Buy said it is about $1,000.00 to replace a fan. The bearings on one fan are worn out. So sadly, it's trash now. If you do buy this model, make sure you get the extended warranty unless you're going to replace it in a year anyway.

Wifi dropping Asus rog zephyrus g14
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying I researched for a solid 6 months before deciding to go with the rog zephyrus g14 laptop. This laptop was everything I dreamed of for an hour, before it decided to randomly start dropping wifi connection. I updated drivers, and tried various other fixes that did not work. I ensured it wasn’t an issue with my wifi, no other devices connected lost connection. I am severely disappointed with the performance. Other than that this pc would have met my needs to a T. Here’s hoping the rog zephyrus g14 I received was just a dud and no one else experiences these issues. As of writing this review I have decided to return this item, and move up to the g15. One more chance for ASUS to make it or break it.

Posted .Dear MrSauce,
We do understand the inconvenience if you expeienced WIFI connection dropping.
To resolve the issue, usually you need to verify if the Laptop is within range to an established wireless router or access point. Also, please verify if the unit is running with the most current Windows update. You may also need to go in the Device Manager, Network adapters, click on the Wireless LAN then click on the Power Management tab, unchecked the boxes and click the "OK" button to save the changes. If these were performed to no avail, possibly it is a random issue.
If you need further assistance with the product or other ASUS products, please let me know and I will be more than happy to help. Or, you are always welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat.

Not what was in the box!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This primarily is not a review of the product itself but more of a review of the Geek Squad open box certified items. I purchased this as an open box, I was all excited to get the laptop home and start gaming, once home I went through the Windows set up and the laptop fans ramped up to full speed and couldnt be turned down, upon further investigation I found that somehow the previous buyer that had returned this laptop did some kind of swaperoo, the model I purchased should have been the RTX-3060, it was infact the older model with the RTX-2060, I returned this back to BestBuy and the only thing that they could come up with was the previous owner must have switched the bottom covers because the serial number on the laptop matched the serial number on the box. Now, if this was a Geek Squad certified product, how did they miss the fans ramping up and not being able to be turned down and also the different CPU & GPU, also the 144hz sticker on the bottom of the screen looked like it had been tampered with. Geek Squad certainly did not do a thorough check through the machine, be wary when buying open box items. I will have to say though that the BestBuy manager really did an outstanding job of fixing the problem to his customers satisfaction. BestBuy Manager gets a great big thumbs up. Geek Squad, get an extremly poor thumbs down.

No idea why, but it's a headache to own this
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've now had two of these laptops, and I don't know why (and neither does ASUS) they *both* keep freezing in all tasks, just randomly, as many as six times in a row. I've had this replacement one for about 6 days and it's happened too many times to count. Asus wants me to send it in for repair. smh

Posted .Dear Destini,
We do understand your disappointment if you are experiencing slow system speed or performance issue with the laptop.
This issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing features or cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. While accessing games online or web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance.
If the above-mentioned steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/.

Defective Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was really excited when I bought it but must have received a faulty device or something because the wifi connectivity was barely there. Older laptop and also a friends laptop on the same network worked great so wifi network was not the issue - it was definitely this laptop. Asus customer service was not very helpful and BB would not do much. So ended up returning it within the 30 day period. Very disappointed.

Lasted less than 2 gaming hours
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Started by blue screening due to overheating after about 20 minutes of red dead redemption, then blue screened after 20 minutes of civ 6, then blue screened for the final time after about 20 minutes of WoW classic. Laptop was a brick within 4 hours, even after updating drivers and keeping on a cool table. Literally the worst experience you can possibly imagine when buying a $1500 laptop. Presumably, asus wants to attract you with the graphics card and processor, but neither can keep from overheating within minutes and ultimately frying themselves. Got a full refund and never looked back, never getting another asus
