Broken Out of Box

Hardware issue not software... so you are stuck with it and when your warranty is up if this is causing long term issues good luck trying to say the issue has been there since the start... I am not some old grandpa either, build servers and use pfsense on my own home network.. its just a bad egg.

Bad wifi card

At first it would connect to a network for 30mins or so and then drop, now wont connect at all tried theee networks. Reverted back to windows 10 and still same issue

Low fps

Trying to run warzone on low settings and only getting 60fps.. I can get higher fps on a console. Updated all drivers and set game mode on yet it runs awful. Most likely returning and wasting my time.

Stay away from best buy "fake" models...

CPUz reported in almost 1200 points lower than a "real" verson. ASUS desont even acknowlage the soldered 8gb models are a thing.

Faulty Wireless

Worked great till its death, 32 months later.

The Dolby sound on this thing is awesome-loud and super crisp, perfect for gaming, movies, and just music in general. Solid build and low-key which I really like, doesn't look like a gaming laptop. The trackpad is smooth, and the keyboard feels great. Cons: It overheats... I managed to keep it under control with GHelper, keeping fans on 100% for cpu/dgpu. But after 32 months, it just couldn't take it anymore. It finally died after 32 months. After gaming I left it sleep, tried turning it back on but no go, no lights, no signs of life, nothing worked to revive it. Unfortunately, ROG G14 are known for their overheating issues... I wasn't surprised but yeah for an expensive machine I'd expect at least another year or two.

Unit not turning on

Hope there is a way to still return this. Total waste of money for its price.

A wonderful laptop but bad quality control ruined

2nd DOA

Gladd I opened it at the store so the reps can help exchange. The 3rd unit also had major lag and had a hard time booting windows. I imediatly returned it. Really wanted to like this one.

Product was defective upon arrival

Good for 2 Years

Unfortunately, the display began to fail at just over 2 years, in the 144hz mode and two months later the wifi adapter died. While technically repairable, the cost to do so is about half the cost of just buying a new, significantly more capable machine. This was a lot to pay for a laptop that didn't last even three years.

Various power related failures
