    TAKE CAUTION for use with VR

    The laptop overall is great. Took away 2 stars because i bought it intending its main use for vr. Sadly is not compatable with the Quest 2. Becareful if your looking to use it for vr. Haven't tested with other vr consoles, expected the newest one to work fine. was very disapointed. Geek Squad couldn't get it to work either.

    Great Laptop, bad hardware

    I bought this laptop as I currently have a MacBook Pro and am a fitness instructor with a lot of gear (USB mixer, Blue Yeti Mic, etc.). I got tired of having to remember multiple adaptors every time I teach and this has all of the ports I need. We started with the GTX 1650 model which continually disconnected from Wifi, wouldn't recognize your fingerprint, froze the screen with Zoom and had some other quirky issues. We returned that laptop and upgraded - or so we thought - to this laptop, only to take it home and turn it on to be greeted with a black screen. I'm not sure if there's a bad batch in circulation but I do know that I'm back to the drawing board for a laptop that fits my needs and I'm not sure I want to take another chance on Asus.

    WARNING!! There is no webcam on this device, You can't take pictures or use with Zoom. It also runs extremely hot when on high load.

      We do understand the inconvenience if the laptop didn't come with a webcam and your concern about the thermal issues.



      The laptop didn't come with a webcam, however, a 4K or HD camera can easily be connected through one of the USB ports.



      It is normal for the fan to spin at full-throttle and the laptop will generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely speak the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

    Incredibly disappointed

    Unfortunately, as nice of a laptop as it promises to be, it has some major, major issues. The primary issue being a constant reboot into bios for some reason after a windows update 2 months ago that has severely limited its usage and utilization since. It constantly and randomly reboots into bios notwithstanding a clean windows install and completely updated updates and drivers. I'm at a loss. If you want a consistent gamming laptop, this isn't it. I hope I got the dud as its specs are impressive. Much luck to everyone. Hope yours is better than mine. Currently contemplating swapping for MSI for hopefully improved windows stability.

    Constant Crashing

    I have been having constant issues with the laptop freezing in many different situations including using Microsoft Teams and duplicating the display on an external monitor. The screen also turns black randomly forcing me to hard-restart. This is the first Asus laptop I've owned and I'm very disappointed to be having these issues within 2 months of purchase. I also tried to contact Asus support and did not receive any useful support. I wish they would just replace the laptop with a new one.

      We do understand your disappointment if you are experiencing system freeze or performance issue with the laptop.





      This issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, laptop will do several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/. Also, while accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.

    Horrible battery life

    Horrible laptop I literally run sea of thieves which isn't that big of a game and my battery dies out so fast I have it charging while playing but it can't even charge imagine spending this much on a gaming laptop for it to last 1 hour while playing a game do not buy this junk battery lasts only an hour

    Do NOT buy!

    This computer will not start. It restarts during the boot every time. It never has. I sent it in for warranty service, which got me past my return date. The laptop was sent back and all ASUS did was reinstall windows, which did nothing. SO very disappointed.

    Wrong Components

    Always check the open boxes. Went to checkout this device in Salisbury, checked system information and apparently it has AMD Radeon Graphics, not an RTX 3060. Cannot comment on the device itself.

    Screen Defective

    I was looking forward to this laptop. Received it brand new, but the screen was defective and wouldn't work. This was after the Best Buy claimed to be in stock when it wasn't.

    Piece of crap

    After 3 months everything slowed down and both bestbuy and asus says there is no problem. pc mark 10 score went to 2500 from 7k+ .. will never buy an asus again
