I was pleasantly surprised by the 2025 ROG Zephyrus G14 14” gaming laptop. It’s a clear upgrade from the 2022 model I previously owned. What really makes me love this year’s G14 is how it maintains its compact form, with that sleek aluminum chassis, and still delivers impressive performance. Being under 3.5lbs, as my daily driver, it is not too heavy to carry around to the office, meetings, and for lunch time when I can watch shows on. Right out of the box, the laptop looks stunning with the Platinum White finish. The diagonal slash lighting array is an LED light stripe across the lid adds a modern, eye-catching touch. It lights up with fifteen different preprogramed patterns via the Armoury Crate app (or you can turn it off completely. It can be annoying when you have it on in a dark room because you see the light reflecting around). I was a little surprised by the new slim power jack design, which is unique, but thankfully you can still charge through the USB-C ports. The keyboard is really well done, good key travel and a very nice and responsive trackpad. What I really enjoy is the 14” 3K OLED 120Hz display. My previous model had a matte screen, which I liked, but this OLED panel takes things to another level where the colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and everything from gaming to web browsing and movie watching just looks incredible. The port selection is solid for a machine this size: 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x USB-C 4, 1x USB-C 3.2, 1x USB-A 3.2, and a microSD slot, which is a welcome addition for extra storage or transferring files. Inside you have the AMD Ryzen 9 270, RTX 5080 GPU, 1TB SSD, and 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. I was slightly disappointed it didn’t come with 32GB of RAM, and I had concerns about whether 16GB would be enough for heavier gaming tasks or future-proofing. The laptop did get warm while downloading and installing games, and the fan noise is noticeable, especially under load, but not overly distracting. Heat is vented out the back, which helps overall thermals, but can make it a little uncomfortable on your lap during extended use. There is a built in webcam, which is nice. But the enhanced AI features offers auto centering and new interactive backdrops for web meetings. Downloading my games (Halo Master Chief edition, LEGO Star Wars, World of Warships) was pretty fast. Once I had everything installed, it was time to put it to the test and it didn’t disappoint. FPS games like HALO ran beautifully, as did LEGO Star Wars. I also had smooth experiences playing online games like TF2, DOORS Roblox, and Star Trek Online, with no dropped frames or noticeable input lag. But for some reason, there was some lag when playing World of Warships. I noticed that the gameplay would stutter and lag, and then come back to a full playable mode. This was the only game where I was experiencing that issue. But playing competitively TF2, I encountered no issues at all. What has been fun was playing DOORS Roblox here and being chased and trying to escape was such an experience on the G14 due to the great performance and the screen. Speaking of which, the real star here is the OLED display. And thanks to the Nvidia G-sync the display is really smooth and vibrant. The 2880x1800 resolution makes every thing look crisp, immersive and it’s easily the best part of the experience for me. The six built-in speakers sound really great and get loud, so I am not increasing it to 100%. Since I am gaming on this, I use headsets on. But without them, the sound quality coming out from the G14 is highly impressive. Battery life has been decent, unplugged and gaming has given me around 2.5 hours before the need to plug in. On mixed uses (without gaming), I have seen about 5-6 hours before having to recharge. Overall, this is a solid gaming laptop. I love the compact build, high-end display, and strong performance. While I wish it had come with 32GB of RAM, the 16GB has held pretty good so far. This is definitely a great and powerful gaming computer.

As a father of young kids who still likes to get some gaming in, I was looking for a laptop that could keep up without being bulky or overdesigned. The all-aluminum chassis feels sturdy but still lightweight, making it easy to carry to work, meetings, and even travel. At just over 3 pounds, it doesn’t weigh down my bag, and the aesthetic is clean—professional enough for an office setting while still clearly a high-performance machine. The 14-inch 3K OLED display is excellent. With 120Hz refresh rate, rich colors, deep blacks, and sharp detail, it’s simply beautiful compared to my previous computers. In terms of performance, the combination of the Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 5060 has handled everything I’ve thrown at it. Multitasking across Office apps, Zoom meetings, and also able to run every game in my steam library flawlessly even on high settings. For day-to-day work, the laptop performs reliably. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, the touchpad is responsive, and the speakers are surprisingly full for such a slim device. Port selection is strong, with both USB-C and USB-A options, HDMI, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack. I haven’t needed to use any adapters or hubs, which is a welcome change from being used to carrying multiple dongles around. Battery life is solidly average in my opinion, but not bad considering the horsepower. I got around 5-6 hours during light use like document editing, video calls, and browsing. When playing Expedition 33, I got around 2-3 hours before I got nervous and had to plug the charger in. The minor (and not so minor) downsides: The RAM is soldered, which means it can’t be upgraded. 16 GB is plenty for my uses, but I do wish I had the illusion of choice to upgrade (which again, to be completely honest, I wouldn’t get around to it). A bit more real, however, as far as potential cons: the fans can get a bit loud during gaming or intensive tasks, though they’re quiet during everyday work. This Asus is powerful enough for creative and technical work, lightweight enough for commuting and travel, and polished enough to look appropriate in both office and casual environments. It’s pretty much my ideal laptop, with the only wishlist being user upgradeable memory

Buy the 32g instead. It has better cooling and much more headroom for future prooging

DESIGN: This ASUS Zephyrus G14 laptop is perfectly sized for PC gaming on the go. The size, weight, and form factor allow me to transport it easily while traveling and it provides a AAA gaming experience comparable to my console and gaming desktop. It may be small, but it packs some serious gaming power in that small frame with performance that rivals or exceeds many much larger gaming laptops. The design and build are top notch, sporting a well crafted aluminum chassis with stylish touches like the laser etched logo on the lid. Lighting is kept to a conservative minimum where it is just enough to be noticed without going overboard. This includes the backlit keyboard and a flashing RGB light strip on the back of the lid. The Zephyrus line has always been a favorite of mine for looks and this machine continues the trend of being among the more attractively designed gaming laptops available. The power brick isn’t tiny, but it is thankfully at least a normal size. Unlike the enormous brick on my larger primary gaming laptop, it is much lighter and easier to travel with. BUILD AND FEATURES: The 3K OLED ROG 120Hz Nebula display looks fantastic. Nebula panels must meet strict quality standards and it shows. The 500-nit panel has good brightness the richly saturated colors and deep contrast that are typically the hallmark of OLED screens. Depending on the usage needs, the colors may be too highly saturated for some artists and/or photo/video editors who may require more natural looking colors. Others, like me, can and will simply calibrate the display to our liking. It basically comes down to personal preference. I personally prefer more saturation and contrast. The lush rich colors and deep dark contrast of this OLED panel satisfy that preference nicely. The screen has a glossy finish but I haven’t had any major issues with glare. That may differ with outdoor use in bright sunlight, but I seldom use laptops outdoors. Even in my brightest room with bright overhead daylight temperature lights, the screen looks fine. Pixel density on the 3K 14-inch panel is good and it produces crisp sharp images. 3K seems to be a sweet spot for this machine. I’m glad ASUS went with 3K rather than sacrificing performance trying to bump the resolution up to 4K. I can game fine at 3K resolution, depending on how demanding the game is. Another plus of the OLED screen is the lack of imperfections I typically find on even some high-end machine IPS screens. Issues like clouding, backlight bleed, uneven brightness, washed-out blacks and grays are all absent on this screen. I also have not observed any stuck pixels on this panel. The Zephyrus has a built-in 1080p webcam, but it lacks a hardware privacy shutter. Video quality looks okay at its max of 1080p 30fps, but feels somewhat lacking. It’s usable for video conferencing and chatting in a pinch, but I’d likely use a better quality camera if used frequently. The camera works with Windows Hello, but it is the only biometric login option available. Windows Hello usually detects my face accurately and logs me in automatically. There were a few occasions where I had to adjust my face angle, but it works well most times. The mic and integrated speakers have good volume and clarity. The speakers are suitable for both gaming and media playback. Multi-channel stereo works well with good sound isolation and surround sound effects. Bass lovers may opt for external speakers with a dedicated subwoofer, but these speakers are more than sufficient if deep bass isn’t required. The laptop has one USB-A, one USB-C, one full sized HDMI, and one audio port on the left, and one micro-SD, one USB-A and one USB-C port on the right. The multi-color RGB backlit keyboard is good for typing, but otherwise doesn’t have any special qualities that set it apart from other keyboards. The keys are easy to locate typing by feel, but I find the key travel and bottom out lacking and a bit mushy. The adjustable RGB keyboard backlighting looks fantastic when illuminated and is bright and vivid. In addition to the keyboard lighting, there is a diagonal LED light strip on the back of the top lid that has a strobe-like effect. The trackpad is spacious and reliably recognizes swipes and gestures in most instances. Button taps/clicks are okay most times, but I occasionally find it lacking, especially the right-click when selecting text. That quickly got frustrating, so I began using an external mouse instead. The 1TB M.2 drive is sufficiently fast and gives me no issues during large file transfers, fast paced gaming or media playback. Pre-installed software includes the usual ASUS bundle of MyAsus and Armory Crate. A new AI virtual assistant is also installed but I disabled it and kept the other two apps. I initially had some issues logging into both MyAsus and Armory Crate using my Asus ID. Although valid and current, I kept getting server unavailable errors. It appears to have been a transient issue and I was still able to perform the initial system updates as a guest. PERFORMANCE: The MediaTek MT7925 Wi-Fi card is excellent and blazing fast when within good range of my home router. Even through a single wall obstruction, I typically see download speeds averaging 700-800Mbps. It remains a solid performer at further distances with even more obstructions, although not quite as fast. There is no ethernet port for wired connectivity, so I rely on USB ethernet adapters for wired connections. Bluetooth has also worked solidly so far. I haven’t experienced any disconnections or latency issues with Bluetooth connected mice and game controllers. The Ryzen 9 270 CPU, GeForce RTX-5060, and 16GB LPDDR5X 7500 RAM all work nicely together to provide a fun gaming experience. The Nvidia GPU in this machine is the studio edition but works with both the game ready and studio Nvidia drivers. If I were using this machine primarily for creative content, I would have installed Nvidia’s Studio drivers because they are the best choice for media creation and typically are more stable with fewer bugs. However, since this will primarily be used for gaming, I installed Nvidia’s game ready drivers. I opted for the custom clean install option so it would first remove the pre-installed studio drivers before installing the game ready drivers.  Desktop performance is solid regardless of being on AC or battery power. Gaming performance is excellent on AC power, especially for a machine this size and weight. However, that performance takes a significant hit on battery power. On AC power, I have no issues hitting 130-140fps or higher in Ultra quality in Forza Horizon 4, 5 or Crew Motorfest. MS Flight Simulator 2020 also runs well. The 120Hz refresh is good enough for my gaming needs and vision. I seldom experience issues with dropped frames or bottlenecks on AC power. The machine runs stable, even when gaming at higher resolutions. Gaming on battery is so poor by comparison, I only play the least demanding games to preserve my sanity because it feels like playing on integrated graphics. When playing more demanding games, the fans get noticeably louder but never get as loud as my larger gaming laptops. The machine has plenty of vents and a robust cooling system, so it usually stays sufficiently cool and doesn’t get overly warm or hot. At full blast, these fans are still much quieter than my other gaming laptop. New games usually try to launch on ultra presets or higher. One game even launched running in extreme preset after performing a pre-launch graphics assessment. Others launch in high. I have yet to lunch a game that defaults to a preset below high. Although some games may determine extreme and ultra presets to be suitable, I noticed in real world gaming that ultra feels like the cap, although it depends on the game. Extreme is where the limitations of this machine begin to become more noticeable, especially in resource intensive games. If a game launches in extreme, I usually dial the settings down to ultra or high and tweak individual effects even further to strike the best balance of visuals and performance while extending system life. I have no problems maintaining stable triple-digit frame rates at higher presets and resolutions, but dialing down some of the more demanding lighting and particle effects provides the most enjoyable problem-free experience. The speakers, keyboard, and wireless card all work well during gaming and keep up even with fast paced play. The trackpad can be used for gaming in a pinch, but I prefer to use an external mouse. I was already unimpressed with the trackpad in normal desktop use, so I have no desire to game with it. CONS: I didn’t find many cons with this machine. The two biggest are the proprietary power brick and non-upgradable RAM. The laptop uses a proprietary DC power connector that resembles older style Thunderbolt connectors. I understand why many gaming PC’s don’t use USB-C adapters, but a barrel connector might have been an easier option to replace if necessary than this style. As for the RAM, it is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded, so make sure to select a model with sufficient RAM before purchase. CONCLUSION: The Zephyrus G14 is a solid option for those looking for a small yet powerful machine. It is more than capable of running most office and productivity apps, and can also accommodate advanced photo/video editing, play smooth streaming media, and playing recent AAA game titles at decent frame rates and resolutions. A versatile machine suitable for productivity, creative, or leisure use, it runs cool and near silent with normal use. Even when taxed to the limit, the fans are still reasonably loud. It runs stable in most instances, although I did experience one hard crash that I believe was caused by a recently installed video driver after I launched a game. Despite that minor hiccup, I still feel the G14 is a great option for anyone desiring full desktop computing power in

This is a tough. It’s my first time owning a G14, and I really wanted to love it. If I were coming from something like an HP Pavilion or Dell Inspiron, this would feel like a dream laptop. But I also use a MacBook Pro and own a Lenovo Legion 5i with the same RTX 5060 GPU, and the comparisons make things complicated. Build Quality & Design This is where the G14 shines. The build quality feels closer to a MacBook than most gaming laptops, with a solid chassis and a premium feel. It’s thin, portable, and even fits into my backpack designed for a 16″ MacBook Pro—something my Legion 5i can’t do. The OLED high-resolution display is excellent, and the keyboard is good (though I’m not a fan of the “gamer font”). Battery Life Battery life for everyday use is much better than the Legion. For light work or browsing, it lasts a lot longer. However, during gaming, both are similar—you’ll want to stay plugged in either way. Performance & Fan Noise Here’s where the G14 loses me. I prefer gaming quietly, and the Legion does this noticeably better. Even with identical settings and resolution, the Legion is much quieter and gets about 20 more FPS, likely because its GPU runs at a higher wattage. On the G14: Silent mode = tolerable noise but performance drops Performance mode = too loud for me Meanwhile, the Legion in its balance (middle) mode is as quiet as the G14 in silent mode, while still outperforming it. Thermals & Reliability The G14 gets hot. Very hot. During my first week, it actually shut itself off due to overheating. If this continues, I’ll likely return it. That’s honestly disappointing considering how premium the laptop otherwise feels. Upgradeability Another big difference: the Legion 5i has upgradeable RAM and two SSD slots, while the G14 has soldered RAM and only one SSD slot. You can replace the storage, but you can’t expand the RAM at all, and you can’t add a second drive. For a premium gaming laptop, that feels limiting long-term. Final Thoughts The G14 is an amazing portable laptop with premium build quality and great battery life for non-gaming use. But if you care about quiet gaming, upgradeability, or sustained performance, the Lenovo Legion 5i offers better value—even if it’s bulkier and made of plastic. If you don't care about fan noise, or wear headphones, and game in a room in solitude, it's a great option.

I ended up trying this laptop twice and it would keep crashing once it went through a bios update. It literally would go through a bitlocker loop that would not resolve and nothing would allow me to get out of it. I returned it and got a second one and same issue as well, so I ended up going with another laptop. Build quality is amazing though. Wish it would have worked since it's super light for a gaming laptop

Ordered an Open-Box: Excellent laptop, but it arrived with stains, a dirty display, and visible screen scratches, along with system issues. I documented the condition with photos and was willing to keep the laptop with a price adjustment, but customer service and the store only offered a return as the resolution.

I’m really impressed with this ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14. It’s powerful but still very portable, which is rare for a gaming laptop. The OLED 3K 120Hz display is stunning — colors are super vibrant, blacks are deep, and everything looks sharp whether I’m gaming, watching videos, or working. The Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 5060 handle games and multitasking smoothly. Games run fast and stable, and it stays quiet most of the time with good thermal control for its size. The 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB SSD make everything feel quick, from booting up to loading games and apps. I also love the premium white design. It looks clean and modern, not bulky like most gaming laptops, so it’s perfect for school, work, and gaming. Battery life is solid for everyday use, especially when not gaming. Overall, this laptop is a great choice if you want strong gaming performance, a beautiful display, and portability in one package. Worth the price.

## Design This ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is surprisingly thin and lightweight, and at first glance, you might not realize it's a powerful gaming machine. It weighs just under 3.5 pounds and is 0.63 inches thin. You might even think of it as the "Macbook Pro" of gaming laptops, especially with this "Platinum White" variant. The exterior has a light aluminum finish and when you open the laptop up, you'll find a white keyboard and trackpad inside. The keyboard is backlit with RGB LEDs. The keys seem a little oversized and the keyboard lacks a numeric keypad, but the laptop is still comfortable to type on. Speakers are found on the left and right sides of the keyboard. The left side of the laptop contains ports for the power adapter, HDMI, USB-C, USB-A, and a headphone jack. The right side contains a USB-C port, a USB-A port, and a Micro SD card slot. One unique feature which is kind of cool (and maybe a little annoying to others) is the array of white LEDs arranged in a diagonal "slash" across the lid of the laptop. You can select from some predefined animations and even have them react to notifications and music. A little gimmicky, but I'm a sucker for LED lights. Unfortunately, you won't see them while using the laptop since they face away from you when the laptop is open. ## Performance Fortnite runs great on this laptop and looks amazing on the 14-inch OLED display, which has rich color and great contrast. with the auto-detect system setting most items to "High". While plugged into power, I generally achieved 120 FPS while playing. On battery power, it dropped to 60 and sometimes 30 FPS. This was still playable, but obviously not buttery smooth like when the laptop is plugged in. Cinebench Scores Multi Core: 14,937 Single Core: 1,759 When gaming or doing anything processor intensive, the bottom of this laptop does get hot, so much so that you likely won't be able to comfortably keep it on your lap. You might want a laptop cooling pad to keep under it or to simply use it at a desk. The fans can get noisy when the system is heavy load, but this is usually a non-issue if you're using headphones. ### AI Performance I wanted to test out the AI capabilities, especially since it has a very AI capable NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, which is part of the new 50-series lineup based on the Blackwell architecture. This laptop configuration comes with 16GB of RAM and 8GB of VRAM, so you can run 3B up to maybe 7B models comfortably. Running the llama3.2 3b model in Ollama, this ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop achieves an eval rate of around 80 tokens/second, which is impressive! To be clear, this laptop isn't one of Microsoft's CoPilot+ PCs, so there are no out of the box AI applications that utilize the local GPU capabilities. While it does have a dedicated CoPilot key on the keyboard, this will only bring up the CoPilot chatbot in the cloud. However, if you're developing your own AI applications in Python, this is a very capable machine. ## Summary The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 gives you some serious processing power and the looks of a thin Macbook. It's lightweight and easy to transport, but the system does get hot during gaming sessions so you'll likely want to play at a desk rather than on your lap. The AMD Ryzen 9 270 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU both provide great gaming and local AI performance if you're looking to develop with local AI models.

When I think of a Laptop, I think of something portable, a good screen, a good keyboard, ports for externals, and a decent mousepad. The Asus Zephyrus G14 delivers in all those categories. Now, I see why people put this device in one of the top "Windows Laptops!" It is a great all-around package if you are willing to deal with the heat. Which you will get from any laptop. The unboxing is like no other. Asus does a good job with the laptop. It's presents a premium experience for a premium device. When you first feel the laptop, you will notice the aluminum craftsmanship. It's a Beauty, as the song says! You feel the quality when you first handle the G14. You get the standard ports that the Asus G14 has come with for years. I do wish they would add the standard SD card reader over the micro card reader. You get an OLED screen, which is amazing. You get one of the best keyboards in the industry. It's simply amazing. The trackpad is also glass. So, scrolling and moving your finger across it feels like butter. These three premium features are top in their class. This is what makes this a truly good contender for a laptop. I know this laptop is "supposed" to be a gaming laptop. Yes, it will do that well. Just be wary of the heat. But I really see this as a good content creator laptop. Because it fits all the needs for one. A good color-accurate screen. A good keyboard and trackpad. A good CPU capable of multitasking. A well-balanced GPU for graphics-intensive work. Making this a great content creator Laptop. With the new 50 series GPU now being able to manage x265 10-bit in video editing software is a game changer. You also get good battery life if you tweak the settings correctly. I was getting 9 hours with eco mode and the GPU turned off. So you can get all-day battery life with the correct settings. What I liked about the G14 is the ability to micro-manage power savings, CPU, and GPU. With G-Helper (An additional app to download) I was able to keep the fans silent and the CPU cool. Armory carte was ok, but it's still laggy and buggy. With some features still not accessible. There are some negatives, though. Mainly, there is only 16GB of RAM. That is fine for most everyday tasks. To the creator or professional, you will be closing down programs. You can still get it done. But 32 GB of RAM would have been better. Next, the Laptop does get warm. So you may not want to put this on your lap. Last, Armory Crate still needs some work. It's still buggy and laggy. After years, Asus still hasn't addressed this. Also, it seems to just be cluttered with junk. Make it simple and easy. Most of the time your just stuck on a loading screen. So overall, this is a gaming laptop. That will excel at gaming with most titles. At 1080p and some 1440p, you will be fine. But with this sleek design, portability, and light weight. It has so much capability for much more. This is great content creation as well. The overall design, feel, and presentation make this one of the best overall Windows Laptops! It comes in many configurations as well! Asus nailed it with the Zephyrus G14!

Its incredible what you can get from such a small package. I am in love with the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14. As the owner of a few-year-old Alienware gaming laptop, I’ve been super impressed with just how well such a small laptop can perform. Out of the box you’ll get the laptop and a 120w charger with a proprietary port (one that looks like a bigger usb-c plug). After startup, login, installing an antivirus, Steam, EA connect, as well as a few games, and updating the Xbox app, I was up and running. There was very little bloatware included with the PC which was a positive and nice surprise. The first game I played was Spiderman Remastered. When I first booted the game it started in the highest settings and I could hear the PC struggle to keep up, with the fans running full blast. After some minor tweaks, setting several settings lower while turned on raytracing, I was insanely impressed with the game. It looked amazing, and played smoothly (I didn’t notice any dropped frames). This has been the game I’ve been playing in my spare time the most since receiving my laptop, and each time I’m awed by how great it looks and plays on the Zephyrus. Other games I played included NBA 2K25 and Forza Horizon 5, and both perform equally as well with some small tweaks to the graphics settings. So, while this game wont get you the top tier performance on most of these triple-A games, there’s one thing to keep in mind: this laptop looks and feels FANTASTIC and isn’t a giant brick too heavy to carry around. It’s made of brushed aluminum. The clean silver finish with the white RBG backlit keys looks amazing. And it’s paired with a 3K 120hz 500 nit OLED display? Are you kidding? The back has an LED light strip that may be unappealing to some, but you can turn that off in the settings as well as change the light pattern of the light strip. Other notes: - Now for some, the limited 16gb of ram may be small, but I’d argue that you can make it completely functional and not miss much. - The fan can and does get loud even with medium settings enables on the game selection I played. - The speakers are some of the best I’ve heard on a laptop, though they could be a little louder in my opinion. For the times you want this thing to be a laptop, it’s going to be a laptop: lightweight, great performance and battery life, amazing screen, and awesome keyboard. And when you want a gaming rig that can perform better than the current console generation, you get that too. All in a 14” package that fits easily in any carry-on bag. This will be my travel companion for the foreseeable future without a doubt.

I've owned the Platinum White ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 for three weeks now, and I'm completely blown away. This machine somehow manages to pack desktop-level performance into a chassis that slips effortlessly into any backpack. Performance That Defies Physics The AMD Ryzen 9 270 paired with the RTX 5060 is an absolute dream team. I’ve been running Cyberpunk 2077 at max settings with ray tracing enabled, consistently hitting smooth frame rates that make the game look breathtaking on that 120Hz OLED panel. The 16GB LPDDR5X handles heavy multitasking like a champ—I've had Blender rendering in the background while editing 4K footage in DaVinci Resolve with zero stutter. I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 for a little while now, and honestly, it’s one of the best laptops I’ve owned. The first thing that stands out is the OLED 3K screen—it looks incredible. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes everything feel super smooth, whether I’m gaming or just scrolling. Performance-wise, the Ryzen 9 + RTX 5060 combo runs modern games really well, and it also handles work stuff like photo editing and multitasking without breaking a sweat. The 1TB SSD is fast and has plenty of space for games and files, and the 16GB RAM keeps everything running smoothly. I really like the design too—the Platinum White finish gives it a clean, premium look. It’s light and easy to carry, which is rare for a gaming laptop. Bought an open box in-person for about $1.2k (current listed price is around $1.8k). Pretty good deal. I love the sleek design and how lightweight it is. I know this means everything will be more compact and it'll get hot more easily but I don't mind. A laptop cooling pad with fans solved the issue. I own a gaming PC but found myself using the laptop for gaming or coding a lot more due to its portability. For me personally, it's a much more enjoyable experience to play on a computer when I can do it while reclined on a couch. I've been able to run games like Marvel Rivals and DA:I without any issues. I'll most likely be looking into purchasing the ASUS ROG Ally as a handheld console for my PS5, Xbox, and Steam controller-optimized games. I love my ASUS ROG Zephyrus and I'm happy I picked it as my laptop, I just wish the battery life lasted just a bit longer. Even when browsing or doing light work on it, the battery drains pretty quickly. But that's to be expected, since you're sacrificing battery life for performance. And it gets hot faster because of how light/compact it is.

Being a content creator I need a laptop that can multitask as well as render videos fast and the Zephyrus is fast not just for gaming it also helps me easily create my projects. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 looks great right out of the box; it comes with the power cable, some documentation and the laptop. Right away, the Zephyrus laptop feels premium and looks elegant, it is thin and tough yet light in weight. As for the connections, on the left side it has the DCIN to power it up, I do wish it was USB C because if I were to lose the power cord I have to get the same one. Next you have the HDMI which it is very helpful because I can simply connect a monitor or my TV directly to it. Then it has the USBC then USBA and finally 3.5 jack to connect both the mic and headphone combo. On the right side it has a USB A and USB C ports as well as the microSD slot that is super helpful for me. And don’t forget, this laptop has WiFi 7 to stay connected without any interruptions. The 16GB is fast enough for me as well as 1TB of storage, and the Ryzen 9 270 works fast and flawlessly. I usually do not use the laptops audio since most sound just ok, the Zephyrus on the other hand sounds fantastic, you can tell there are 6 speakers and the Dolby Atmos makes the laptop sound loud and clear. When it comes to the display, it looks awesome, crisp clear and with a fast refresh rate of 120 Hz. The keys are soft yet can handle those days that I’m so into the game I forget I am playing in my laptop, and the keys look great by the way especially since they are RGB lighted with Aura Sync. I am happy with my Zephyrus and best of all I can do everything on the go, I no longer have to be on my built computer, I can take my projects somewhere else. This laptop also keeps our family entertained at any time.
