PC gaming is now in an interesting place; there has been an influx of handheld gaming devices and this has thankfully scaled to laptops. Every couple of years there is a need to upgrade and I was due for one. I previously owned a Razer Blade 16 and it was large, heavy and sounded like a jet engine taking off. I knew I needed something a little lighter and smaller. This is why I chose the Asus ROG G14, I have had a great experience having owned the ROG Ally which is awesome as well. That left me wanting something with a little more power and a larger screen. I found that the sweet spot for me is a 14-inch screen. Holding this is quite the experience, I received this and when I first held this gaming laptop I was in awe, I thought to myself how does this small device have so much tech stuffed into it. This is premium in every sense, it is difficult to put into words but this device is like a BMW they look wonderful and have a lot of power that is on demand. The G14 is amazing, It runs Windows 11 and the software installed like armory crate and my ASUS keeps you up to date and allows you to get the most out of your device. :::General Thoughts::: You will likely see reviews with a long list of specs and whatnot, I will do it a little differently ad discuss what I like, dislike and what you might like to know. The display here is OLED and it has great colors that look great, I tested it out using Marvels GOG & Cyberpunk 2077. It is HDR capable and my device is equipped with an RTX 5060 and has 16GB of RAM and it has 8GB of video RAM. I ran the crucial system scanner and it states that this has a limit of 32GB, I will eventually upgrade this and make a trip to Microcenter. The keyboard feels amazing, the keyboard is backlit with RGB, and protrude and they are easy to press and are highly responsive for competitive gaming, the trackpad is huge and feels great to use. Battery is about 3-5 hours and is less when running demanding games. It is obviously best to plug it in, when possible, to get the best performance. :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - OLED display - 120hz display (smooth) - Small form factor - Premium design and feel - Plenty of I&O - Plenty of power - Nice RGB strip on outer display cover Cons: - Can’t find anything to complain about :::Closing Thoughts::: This device is a work of art and has plenty of power under the hood. The 5060 is plenty powerful and runs smoothly when playing games. I was able to get 40 FPS but will tweak it some more to squeeze more power out. I bought an Xbox controller and have an awesome pair of headphones and get fully immersed. I will test out my PSVR2 out soon that is next on my to do list and want to test out Half Life Alyx. :::TL;DR::: Need a dedicated gaming laptop then look no further. This device is my sweet spot and likely may be for you as well.

Loving it so far. No issues at all. It's a gorgeous laptop, runs fast, as quiet as a gaming laptop can be (noisy but not jet engine level and it is controllable), doesn't get hot enough to cook my hands and above all, it doesn't break my back at a light 3.5 pounds and good battery life (again, for a gaming laptop) I can use this thing for school. Asus is simply the way to go for this budget and meets all of my needs

This laptop is a beast. The Ryzen 9 and RTX 5060 combo handles everything I throw at it—gaming, editing, multitasking—with zero lag. The OLED 3K display is stunning, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes gameplay buttery smooth. Lightweight, premium build, and surprisingly quiet. Worth every penny.

Excellent gaming and productivity laptop. Runs all games without issues, currently enjoying Doom the Dark Ages at 1200p, Medium Settings, DLSS Quality, and 2x FrameGen getting 120FPS to max out the display. Also played the Alters and got around 45-60fps at native resolution with DLSS Quality. 8GB VRAM is enough for now. Using a USB-C charger, the GPU is limited to 55 watts or so (compared to 70 watts performance mode AC adapter) which is actually good enough for gaming as well. Fan noise is actually reasonable in default Performance mode. Turbo mode (GPU goes up to 90 watts) is quite loud, I don't use it unless wearing headphones and nobody around you to disturb. TimeSpy Graphics score in Performance mode 10,046 and Turbo mode 11,270 so you do lose ~10%. For productivity, no issues handling daily office workload. Get around 5-6 hours of battery life: not bad, not great. Ryzen 9 processor fast enough to handle anything. Fans do kick on if you're looking at complex web pages but it's pretty quiet so not disturbing. Overall highly recommended. Very portable and lightweight for a gaming laptop and good gaming performance.

It is an amazing laptop for the price. I hit the jackpot and found one under $1,000 but even for the normal price I would say it performance well for the specs it has. The looks of laptop is topnotch and the build quality is amazing. It plays games just fine when it is on the correct mode, however, it does get hot fast and the battery life is not the longest but I normally don't need for extremely long time. Would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a good laptop for the price.

This laptop is small, and it is powerful. Battery life is great, it's around 7 hours on simple use (if you use Eco mode) if you don't go above a 5070ti even at this size you still get the same performance of bigger laptops, it is very portable so it is great for work. The speakers on this laptop surprised me, they sound amazing, for the first time I don't feel forced to use headphones. It does have some software issues tho, hince why I took out one star, luckily there are fixes online, and using Ghelper helps with those issues too. The screen, holy cow it's the best screen you'll ever see on a laptop, it is beautiful. Overall very good device, glad the worker brought the wrong laptop on accident

I’m absolutely blown away by the performance of this laptop! From the moment I unboxed it, everything felt premium — the sleek design, sturdy build, and vibrant display make it stand out right away. When it comes to gaming, this machine doesn’t disappoint. I’ve tested several demanding titles, and thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce graphics and high refresh rate display, gameplay is buttery smooth with zero stuttering or overheating issues. Multitasking is a breeze too — I can stream, edit videos, and run multiple apps without any slowdown. Battery life is surprisingly solid for a gaming laptop. I can easily get through hours of productivity and casual browsing, and when I’m gaming, the fast charging brings it back up quickly. The cooling system is also impressive — it stays quiet and keeps the laptop running efficiently even during long sessions. If you want a laptop that balances power, speed, and style, this is hands-down one of the best options out there. Highly recommended!

Well. darn it all. ASUS is on a roll. The Zephyrus series is running things in the laptop gaming industry, without any need for buffers or enhancements. No CAP gang (as they say in the streets) I've heard great things about the G14 and I'm kind of shocked that they were pretty spot on with how they've taken the Zephyrus brand and created a beast. With the new AMD Ryzen 9 and the GEFORCE RTX 5060, this is the starter PC that rivals some of last GEN's PCs and I would even go so far as to say that your gaming console may be in jeopardy of being replaced. The OLED screen gives off an amazing 2.5K visual and you'll find your blacks looks so black that you'd think your eyes were closed. I really can't think of any reason as to why you should get this PC, other than hearing that you've already procured a 2024 Zephyrus series laptop. I've been rocking a ROG Zephyrus G16 with an RTX 4070 for a few months, and I've found it very difficult to go over to my desktop to stream. But I've gotta do what I've gotta do. The Ammo Crate is still a hindrance as far as performance clocking, but it still gives off an amazing gaming experience. The aluminum chassis does get quite warm during extended play or whenever this is really not an issue as this unit will play whatever you throw at and play it well (Just make sure that it's elevated so it can breathe.) and you won't have much of an issue.). The speakers are the best in the laptop game. The base is deep, and the highs are so crisp. Possibly too crisp for a laptop. If you happen to upgrade from the previous Zephyrus series, you'll find that the power source is the same and they mesh perfectly. These PCs are twins from the last generation. So, if you don't tell them, they'll never know you've upgraded. 1 HDMI port. 1 USB-A and 2 type C ports. A headphone(3.2mm) and a micro SD slot. That's all you'll need. Getcha one.

This gaming laptop from ASUS is compact, powerful, and full of excellent features. While I typically prefer Chromebooks for day to day activities such as email, web browsing, etc, you can't beat the power of a Windows PC with a high end graphics card like this model. Pros: - Set up was pretty quick and painless. Windows set-up years ago used to take an hour or more but I was up and running in about 15 minutes with all Windows updates installed. The speed of using a solid state drive certainly helps with all of this. - The RTX 5060 graphics card was more than powerful enough for me to play my favorite games on Steam. And the 120Hz refresh rate made for a beautiful and smooth gaming experience. - The Armoury Crate is a terrific feature that allows you to access the performance dashboard of the laptop with a single button press. You can use presets to place it in several modes including silent, performance, and turbo. Lighting features can be toggles easily. And those features are just the start. There is so much to explore. - The size of this laptop is incredible considering how much power it has. The small form factor makes it ultra portable. - The speed at which any task is performed on this device is mind-blowing. You do not need to worry about multitasking as the G14 can handle anything I was throwing at it. Cons: - I would love to see a 2TB solid state drive on this model, rather than the 1TB that is included. That space fills up quick for gamers. - The default back-lit keyboard settings had colors rotating and it was tough for me to make out the keys when they were certain colors. One of the first things I did was set the keyboard to a static color that worked well for me. This laptop is powerful, portable, has a beautiful aesthetic, and will make anyone shopping for a high end gaming laptop a very happy person.

The small size and light weight makes this laptop easy to pack up and carry. This is my first OLED screen and visually it is amazing! The compact keyboard has been hard for my fingers to adjust to, but the light up keyboard has been great to have when using in low light. It’s only been a couple uses and I haven’t used it for game play. I got it specifically for the processing speed and quality screen for graphic design. It opens programs and files in seconds, that took minutes with my old slow computer. It does get hot. Mainly when plugged in it gets hot. The battery lasts so long that I haven’t had to worry about being near an outlet to plug it in. So far I’m happy with this laptop.

This is probably the best slim gaming laptop for those who don’t want something that looks overly “gamer.” It strikes a perfect balance—sleek, professional design while still packing serious power under the hood. Out of the box, it does run a bit hot, but that’s easily managed. By tweaking the performance profile with G Helper, I was able to cap both CPU and GPU temperatures at 75°C without sacrificing performance. Tools like G Helper or Asus Armoury Crate make it simple to fine-tune the balance between thermals and power. Overall, I have no real complaints with this laptop. Some people criticize the temperatures, but with a little profile optimization, those concerns are a non-issue. For me, this is hands-down one of the best slim gaming laptops available today.

Excellent performance and quiet. Oled screen is a highlight, bright colors. Very sleek packaging and sleek design. Definitely a great starter gaming laptop. 50 series cards offer great features to increase fps, solid buy.

I really wanted the ASUS ROG G14. Before buying it, I watched many YouTube reviews and read a lot of user comments, and my expectations were very high. The design, performance on paper, and portability all looked perfect for my needs. However, after using it, I started experiencing the “Your system ran into a problem” (blue screen) issue. After researching, it seems this is a fairly common problem among ASUS ROG users, especially related to how the CPU and GPU don’t always coexist smoothly. Because of this, I exchanged the laptop, hoping the issue was just a defective unit. Unfortunately, the same problem happened again on the replacement. Now I’m within the return period (until January 15), and I’m honestly conflicted. My expectations were very high at the beginning, and when it works, the laptop feels powerful and well-designed. But system crashes on a new, premium laptop are very frustrating and make it hard to fully trust it for daily or professional use. I think the ROG G14 has great potential, but ASUS really needs to address this stability issue. I’m still deciding whether to keep it or return it, which is disappointing considering how excited I was before purchasing.

Got mine open box and I have no regrets. It can run any game I throw at it, and the OLED display is crisp. The camera actually isn’t that bad for a built in laptop cam. Keyboard and trackpad are great! The lighting is cool, and the battery life is pretty decent. Would buy again!

I bought it for video editing. I'm using DaVinci Resolve, so far, it can handle my editing. but You really need another application called g helper if you want this computer to work out. So far it is ok Not too much but it is definitly a piece of art compared to other gaming laptops. IT is small and powerful, plus it is quiet very helpful when you are around the ladies and you don't wanna seem like a nerdy gaming person. so definitely very beautiful machine so far for me

the Zephyrus is a good laptop, but it does have a couple of flaws. The heat that comes off the laptop and the fan sound required to keep it low is kinda ridiculous. I bought the razor laptop cooler which accommodates the computer well with both those issues. Lastly, there is already some glitches happening to my screen, loading, etc. I bought the geek squad protection so hopefully they can fix it. I do like the laptop, and I am on board with the hype.

Pros: *Display is excellent. *Light weight. *Strong CPU *Entry level GPU-plays most games smooth on high but not ultra Cons: *Non Standard Powersupply *lacks USB ports. this is a solid portable laptop, but the powersupply makes it difficult to use though it is supposed to have a PD port that you can run at 100w so its possible to power on a plane for long trips.

Beautiful display powerful and vibrant Is a great little laptop and convenient to transport and use speakers are great for watching movies or videos my only complaint is the soldered ram that’s not upgradable 16gigs unfortunately is not enough anymore

Battery life is also better than I expected for a performance laptop — I can comfortably use it for productivity throughout the day without constantly reaching for the charger. If I had to mention anything, it would just be that high performance can bring some fan noise under heavy load, but that’s expected and honestly not a dealbreaker considering everything this machine delivers. Overall, this laptop strikes an incredible balance between power, portability, and premium design. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end gaming and productivity laptop.
