I purchased the jasper gray with the same specifications and this one. I did not like the foggy silver because the picture showed black letters in the keypad and the jasper gray was white. The specifications of the jasper gray coming from multiple sources even Asus on the CES on January 7, 2025, it supposed to be exactly the same. The only difference was the color. When I received the jasper gray, I learned all those sources were wrong in the display, it was 1920x1200 for the jasper gray and 3K for the foggy silver. I wanted the 3K so I decided to get the foggy silver instead of the jasper gray in spite of the letters of the keypad being black. After purchasing the foggy silver, for my surprise, the letters of the keypad light up to white. After around 2 weeks of purchase, the screen is very nice 3k, the battery excellent, and better than other laptops that I had. My first one was the ponder blue that was 3K too, but the processor was 185H. I did not like it because I wanted the number pad. This one has a number pad. Some pictures it looks white but is really silver and no fingerprint noted as I experienced with the ponder blue. The battery has lasted 6 days and 20 hours with my usage. It reboots and loads a lot faster than my PC (4 years old but ROG motherboard 10th gen Intel processor 10850K). it loads in about 1 sec, my PC takes currently about 30 secs. I am pleased with this purchase and highly recommend to my friends.

Impressive Design, Undermined by Critical Flaws

The device boasts a sleek, metallic finish that enhances its sophisticated aesthetic. Its display delivers vibrant colors and impressive clarity, while the overall build feels substantial and well-crafted. At first, it seemed like the perfect long-term companion, with an ideal balance between price and specifications. However, a minor performance hiccup is worth noting for future refinement—even small glitches can impact the user experience. A more pressing concern is the fan noise, which could benefit from a quieter operation to improve satisfaction. Battery life is another crucial aspect, and unfortunately, it falls short of expectations, lasting less than nine hours on a full charge. This limitation significantly affects usability, making improvements in this area essential. Addressing these concerns would go a long way toward creating a more seamless and enjoyable experience. Despite its strengths, I ultimately had to return the device due to a sudden camera failure. The camera is essential for daily activity, The malfunction was frustrating, and attempts to resolve it with Asus support proved unsuccessful.

I did a ton of research before purchasing this laptop and I have no regrets. So far I’ve used it for some light gaming/school work and it is amazing. The OLED screen makes everything look amazing and the speed of the laptop is also great. I do plan on using this laptop for college, so hopefully it can run all the programs I need it to run.

Some reviews I saw before I decided to purchase this laptop had me apprehensive. Specifically, the battery life was called out for not lasting as long as advertised, and the cooling fan was noisy. Even so, comparing the features of this machine to others in the same price range made my decision to purchase. First, addressing the negative comments about battery life, I find the battery strong enough to last moderate use for at least 16 hours. I do not have heavy graphics-intensive work or games, so my experiences may not be similar to other users. As for fan noise, I have never heard the fan. My personal negative experiences include issues with the numpad. I chose this very portable laptop specifically because it has a numpad, unlike most 13–14-inch machines. The numpad is embedded in the touchpad and can be turned on and off. Use is inconsistent, with some numbers populating with a soft touch while at other times it takes more than one touch to post a number. This may take some getting used to and may resolve over time. Another inconsistent annoyance is that the brightness level sometimes goes to zero after waking up from a screen lock. More than once, I had to go to brightness settings to get the screen back. On the positive side, the machine is sturdy and well built. It is lightweight and very portable. Speed is awesome for everyday tasks, and I have experienced no lagging or freezing. The display is beautiful, but I have not used OLED much because I am primarily on battery and only plug in to recharge. I realize the cost is rather high, but the features are worth the price, and I expect this machine to serve me for at least five years. This is the second Asus I have owned (most of my computers have been Dell), and my first Asus is still chugging along after five years although it is much less powerful than this machine. Finally, the purchasing experience with BestBuy was straightforward. The computer had to be ordered, and I opted to pick it up in-store. It was a very simple transaction as have been most of my BestBuy purchases.

It's exactly what you'd want in a laptop. Light and easy to carry around. Extremely bright OLED screen. Very fast and powerful - runs games surprisingly well. I am a huge fan of the touchscreen as well. The ONLY thing I would change would be the addition of a play/pause button on the keyboard for music control!

Now that my return window is over I decided I’ll give a review. I needed a new machine to replace a 10 year old Dell. On paper this machine has it all (I purchased at it end of Feb 25’). Although I was very hesitant to get another x86 machine I decided to give it a try. You will get a nice aluminum build quality (with a couple sharp edges), which is preferrable over gimmicky Ceraluminum imho. Finger prints are almost nonexistant on this silver colorway. The display and trackpad are very good, the port selection is good, and the keyboard is just alright. I dont game on this machine except for an occasical session on darkest dungeon which barely uses the intel arc gpu inside. You will run into all the usual pitfalls attempting to streamline a new Windows computer so that shouldn’t be a surprise. I was initially concerned with the Single fan cooling setup in this machine, and it can spin up frequently depending on your workload, but I don’t find it terribly loud and with a little bit of tuning in the myAsus app you can get it to behave how you like. There is no perfect laptop but this machine has met my expectations and has the specs to back it up.

This laptop feels premium in every aspect, from the beautiful screen to this amazing body alloy to a fantastic keyboard, this laptop delivers everything it promises. I can recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good laptop for daily needs (excluding hi-def gaming), its super fast, quiet, has an adequate battery life and charges fast and what I love about it most is how lightweight and portable it is.

I've had this laptop for about 2 weeks now. Everything works as it's supposed to. Laptop is extremely quiet, very bright, and fast. Just wish it had an hdmi connection. But other than that I couldn't be happier. Touch screen works great as well.

It’s about 2 weeks I’ve been using this laptop and I can say the size is just perfect for travel. It’s compact and the size is just right to carry. The display is gorgeous and definitely use the pixel shift to avoid burn in. The number pad on the touch pad is easy to turn on and off and use. While it is on, the touch pad still functions as a regular touchpad. I recently did some taxes and the number pad helped immensely. I looked at several different 14” laptops and only a hand full had a number pad. You could buy a Bluetooth number keypad but then it’s just one more thing to carry. The shell is a hard metal and unlike the LG laptops, I’m not afraid of it breaking or cracking. The feel of the keypad is decent, but not even close to the best out there. It’s a chiclet keypad and the feel is different from a normal desktop keypad. The colour of the keypad with white lettering is usable in the daytime as long as the keyboard backlight is shut off. With the automatic backlight on, it is impossible to see the lettering in the daytime. Battery life is on the low side with an average of 11 hours on a full charge using the internet to browse or create an online course. Asus needs to do something (either more efficient chips aka the v series or move away from an OLED display) so that it can come close to the 14” LG laptop which gets a realistic 28 hours (rated at 30 hours) of battery life under similar usage. Overall if you need a 14” laptop that has a dedicated number pad than this Asus is a solid choice. If on the other hand, you rarely use the number pad and value lighter weight and awesome battery life go for the LG 14”. They both use intel core ultra 2 series chips (Asus core 9 285H vs LG core 7 255H) and both have the same 32g and 1tb ssd. One major difference is the screen OLED (good if you watch a ron of videos) vs IPS (good for everything else),

This is my first laptop from ASUS. The laptop quality, display, sound, weight, ports, battery life everything is super amazing. The only issue I am facing is that it gets very hot while multi tasking. May due to i9 processor
