The Bambu X2D is my first printer. Approaching 300 hours after a month of use. Overall, pleased with the X2D. Bambu Studio, the Bambu Handy iOS app, the AMS2 Pro and X2D make up a very powerful, cloud-based Bambu eco-system---very user friendly. Seeing things created in Fusion 360 come to life inside the X2D chamber is simply amazing. Like a lot of folks it was choice between the proven, single nozzle P2S or the newer, unproven dual nozzle X2D for $100 more. Tons of very in-depth youtube reviews on both printers to help folks make an informed choice. Ultimately I took a chance on the X2D even though it's not a true two nozzle system. The auxiliary nozzle (with the Bowden extruder) produces slightly lower quality and is also a good bit slower than the main nozzle (using Bambu defaults). On the plus side, there's a sizeable reduction in print times when printing two colors (vs. a single nozzle). Noticed a few reviews about malfunctioning AMS2 Pros. So far our AMS2 Pro has worked flawlessly---supporting every multi-color print just fine. It also dries/heats while printing (this feature requires the optional 24vdc 4a power supply). Unfortunately, did experience one problem. During one of the calibrations (performed automatically before every print), the main nozzle gouged the print bed in 5 or 6 places (thankfully the other side of the bed is still usable; using the latest firmware). Created a "ticket" with Bambu support using the Bambu Handy iOS app. Turn around for each reply takes 24-48 hours. They requested the printer log and a video of the homing and bed leveling process. After reviewing everything, they agreed to send a new nozzle and bed under warranty---plus a free roll of PLA for my troubles. The X2D was just released a few weeks ago. Always risky purchasing a 1st gen product. Doubt I would have taken a chance on the X2D without the 60 day return window that comes with the My Best Buy Plus membership. If no other problems occur, it'll be a keeper. Last, but not least, given the complexity (and cost) of the X2D, we're giving the 4 year Geek Squad protection plan some serious consideration.

Coming from a P2S I did noticed a slight improvement on the prints. I haven't had any issues with the printer or the AMS pro 2 like others have had. The printer is a bit slower on the initial calibrations before prints, taking up to 10 minutes, however it does also print faster than the p2s and gives better quality at a faster pace because of the upgraded belts. The second nozzle isn't really that useful if you are printing PETG or anything other than PLA and the quality of the PLA print is noticeable, so it really is just meant for supports. I wouldn't use it for anything else. With how much space the components for the second nozzle (secondary) take, they should just have gone for a fully functional second nozzle resembling the H2D

I upgraded from an Ankermake M5 this printer was great it was crushing it. I did run into some of the AMS errors that other review mentioned. I also jammed the extruder and had to take apart the printer to repair it. Its a very complex process and isn't for those that aren't handy. Lots of delicate cables / tiny screws. The appeal of the X2D and the dual nozzle seems nice but the Extruder system feels a little like a beta.

I've been a Bambu fan for years, which makes this review even more disappointing to write. I purchased two X2D units, expecting the same reliability and performance I've come to expect from Bambu products, but unfortunately both machines had persistent filament feeding issues right out of the gate. I spent a considerable amount of time troubleshooting, checking settings, and trying different filaments, but the feeding problems continued on both printers. When you invest in a premium machine, you expect it to work consistently, and these simply didn't meet that expectation. In the end, I returned both X2D printers and purchased an H2C instead. The difference has been night and day. The H2C has been much more reliable, easier to work with, and has delivered the experience I was hoping to get from the X2D. I'm still a supporter of Bambu as a brand, which is why this experience was so surprising. Hopefully these issues are addressed, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend the X2D at this time.

Amazing engineering in a 3-D printer

This is my first 3-D printer so I don’t really have anything to compare it against but I am an engineer and a technology enthusiast and this thing is pretty amazing! The only issues I have had are those which I just needed to learn on my own about the software or how components work. I’ve had mine running almost nonstop since the day I bought it and only had a few issues where the print needed support and I hadn’t included them in the print… So that was my fault. I’ve used bamboo filament as well as others and this thing hasn’t had any issue with them. If you’re on the fence, I recommend this model.

This printer is amazing. I have had multiple Bambu Printers (A1, P1, P2S) and am very happy with this purchase. I now own two of these printers. The ability to have a second nozzle for support material is incredible. At first I was a little disappointed in the quality of the aux nozzle but after using it, I understand the use cases. The quality of the primary nozzle is absolutely amazing. Minimal calibration needed. Over 500 hours on my printer and it has been amazing.

I am 25 prints and 250 hours into using this unit, my very first 3-D printer. Before this I had never even seen one in person. It is a fantastic unit that works great and I’ve had absolutely zero problems of any type. I think a lot of people have issues because they don’t learn about it first take it out of the box and expect it to work perfectly without any basic knowledge. Before I ever bought, this, I went through bamboo Academy, every course, joined several user groups to find out what to do and more importantly what not to do, and watched as many videos as I could about, not only successfully printing, but dealing with problems and preventing them. It’s actually more important to know what not to do than to know what to do with any piece of high-tech equipment like this. I believe this is the basis for many of the negative reviews because people either love this or hate this and it seems to be that 99% of the “problems“ that people are running into are with the AMS unit not the X2D itself. I am very pleased with mine and have two other people that have bought them after seeing my assignment for the unit and they’ve done the same thing and done their research first and learned first and have had zero problems whatsoever. Generally speaking if someone likes something, they don’t tell anyone, but if they hate it, they tell the world so when you see negative reviews, take them with a grain of salt. Get this, set it up correctly exactly following the steps in the video from the company, learn what not to do, and enjoy trouble, free printing like I have.

Great deal for entry into the prosumer 3d printing market. 2nd nozzle is good for support material or a 2nd color but it's slower. Easy to use and easy to setup.

This is my first 3D printer. So far, I have about 100 hours of print time. I had to wait quite a while since the printer was always sold out. Set up was simple. There are plenty of videos on YouTube to follow. Print quality is good from both primary and auxiliary nozzle. Printing from Bambu Studio on the computer or through Bambu Handy app on my phone is very simple. I did have the dreaded “filament failed to feed” from time to time. I currently have an open ticket with Bambu Lab support.

I love everything about this printer. It has amazing features for the price point. The only thing thay sucks, is that they are locking down this system to only use their compatible software - and that software has FREE FEATURES THAT ARE GONNA BECOME PAID ONLY! Companies need to stop taking away features! I already give them a lot of money for their convenient filament.

This is my 2nd 3D printer. Having only started this hobby 2 weeks ago. But so far i've been very impressed with Bambu Labs. I was looking at other 3D printers like Creality, Flash Forge, and some other brands on Amazon. But ultimately I decided to bite the bullet and spend a little more on a Bambu Lab. Now I understand why they're always recommended.

When it works, it produces great prints. Unfortunately, the AMS Pro 2 feed system does not always work properly and thus makes multicolor prints nearly impossible. Until this is fixed I can not give it a higher rating.
