I complained about the sound quality of my Sonos sound bar. The quality was worse that the 10 year old TV in my home without external speakers. The techs simply told me that for an additional $800, I could upgrade to a better system. I think that they agreed with me that the Sonos system was sub-standard.

The soundbar setup and integration does not work properly and I will have to have Geek Squad come back to fix it. The problems occur when we are in DT Streaming. The GS should agree to come back to complete the setup once the TV is completely configured.

The guys they sent told me it can’t be mounted and it didn’t come with a mounting kit , which it did Couse they didn’t want to do it even though I paid for it .

This ended up being too complicated for the techs. Eventually most things got hooked up, however the wires were installed in such a way that the tv stand was not sitting correctly, and we had to reroute the wires properly to fix that. Also the earphones were not hooked up at all, which we eventually fixed ourselves,

First of all, Our problem was not installing a sound bar, it was our appleTV connection. The very nice techs, told us our AppleTV advise was not working, that they can’t be repaired & we needed a new one. We spent $150.00 on a new one. Our daughter took the old one thinking it wasn’t dead. She installed it on her TV. We didn’t need a new one! We are unhappy!

Absolutely horrible. 2nd no show appointment. Then hold time was over 30 minutes to request a refund. And the best part the refund did not process all the way. They were able to conveniently cancel the cheaper part of service"system didn't update" so. Ow I'm going to have to call back to ensure the 2nd portion gets cancelled and my refund is processed correct lt. Amazing how they won't schedule an appointment until you pay but then have the. Erve to not show up not once but twice and not even call to say sorry, we are running late.

Only thing I got out of it is the soundbar was a big one so he took out, setup on TV stand, powered up. Overall I don't think it was worth paying the $49 for basic audio setup as he didn't do much beyond. It turns out that he didn't use the HDMI cable that came with it and almost walked off with it and gave me an optical audio cable. After he left, I setup with HDMI and did all the audio adjustments and then this soundbar was truly ready for action.

I would recommend this to a friend

Bad, as a customer, be prepared to wait a very long time for service or installation. Also, my tech put my sound bar where he wanted to put it even though I ask him to move it just a little to the left about 10inches and up about 2inches. I am disabled and can not remount it by myself. Please come back and do it right please. Jeff

I guess "core audio" install just means that the TV sound is working. We did have an existing sound system that we feel the installers did not address, or tie into.

Installed the TV higher than I asked. I said that is higher than I asked. So they lowered it and charged me another $250. I will never recommend Best Buy to anybody

Had a in home consultation with a magnolia adviser. Waited over 3 weeks for the appointment to set up the 7.2.2 system. In home advisor set expectations that this would be a easy thing. When first installers showed up they only set up the system fir a 3.1 set up and said they didn’t advise doing more.
Second installer showed up after I went to store to get issue resolved. This tool another week. His conclusion was to do it different than both in home advisor suggested abc first installer.
Working on 5 weeks later, have not even gotten a follow up call from magnolia to see if situation has been resolved or if they could do anything.
Simply put I’ve waired 5 weeks, Best Buy has not resolved the issue. Not one person who has come to my home has done anything I could not do myself.
If you Have a simple set up I suggest do it your self. If you getting into a complicated installation beware you may be better choosing other professionals to install
We are sorry about the poor experience you had with your audio setup. We always want to get the work done right the first time. Please call us at (800) GEEKSQUAD or (800) 433-5778 so that we can work on scheduling someone to come back out to get your system working.

Soundbar a bit of a challenge

The set up of Bose sound bar could not be completely done at the time of service. It was hooked up to new TV (which he installed); however, we could not integrate with DISH remote. That meant using two remotes: one for on/off and the other for all other functions. However satisfied with all other aspects of set up.

They installed everything and it works great; however, when they installed the front speakers there is a hole in the ceiling that still shows. The installers told me to just get some putty or cock and fill the hole in my ceiling. I will now have to hire someone at an additional cost to fix this or live with the holes. Not to happy about this at all. I feel it is something they should have fixed or paid for to be fixed.
