No longer have to rent. This guy is worth having. I have a 2 story 5 bedroom home and 3 living rooms. No way was I going to finish all that in one day rental. On top of that love the attachments to clean my truck. Super easy to use. I recommend you separate the tank before u take it upstairs. It will get a bit heavy but I don't want to put to much pressure on the handles.

We just purchased our home and we had professional carpet cleaner company come out and clean our carpet. In the beginning it look good, but the stains started reappearing acouple of weeks later and the carpet wasn’t smooth. We decided to get our own cleaner, and after reading reviews we decided to buy the big green machine and used it right the next day. It’s been several weeks since we used it and it’s still as clean as the day we shampooed, not only that the carpet feels so soft. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Works great, we had some stains we thought set in, but this machine removed the stains.

I thought my carpet just needed replacement from the dark Dirty spots on my carpet but the green machine made it look like new I love it and to think I almost bought a rug doctor

What a great carpet cleaner! We just moved in to a new rental home and wanted to clean the carpet since we have a toddler running around the carpet. It took off a lot of dirt and was amazed how well it cleaned. Now I’m think of using it to clean carpet in my car. I also got it on sale.

This is the best carpet cleaner and really the only carpet cleaner on the regular market, I owned the little Bissells and Hoovers, but they don't work very well at all, they are a complete waste of time and money, they don't clean very deep and they don't pickup very much water all, which means they leave dirt behind. The Big Green Bissell, picks up at least 90% of the water it puts down and the weight pushes the brush deep into the carpet and really gets down deep, even I use Tide with Downy as it works considerably better than the solvent based soap that comes with the Bissell and it smells better and leaves the carpet super soft.

I love the Big Green. Cleaned all the carpets in my house, my dads house and everyone is happy with the results.

Great rug cleaning machine. The recommended rug cleaner and machine work great together. The attachments work on stairs and in washing the interior of vehicles.

My wife is writing this review as it was purchased for her. I did lots of research prior to asking my husband for this very expensive machine and let me just say, it isn't worth the money. It 'looks' great, but I'd compare it to going to a fancy restaurant where the food looks amazing, but tastes sub-par. I'm a neat-freak and felt my Bissell Proheat 2X wasn't doing the job this monster could do, particularly after seeing pictures where people's carpet looked brand new again; even carpet that didn't even appear to be dirty, like ours. Right out of the box, this sucker was ready to use so, I got right to it. First thing I noticed was how heavy and awkward to maneuver around it was. The next thing I noticed was that it did.....nothing. No change in the carpet what-so-ever even after several very slow passes in the same area and following instructions to the letter. That said, after the carpet dried, dirty spots appeared all over the place that weren't there when wet. I wasn't about to lug out that behemoth again thus, I went over the carpet today with my much cheaper Bissell and lo and behold, ALL of the spots disappeared and it dried to perfection. I've attached a pic of the dirty water tank my other Bissell picked up after using the high dollar one. In conclusion, more expensive and fancier doesn't always mean better. My cheaper Bissell by FAR out-performs this one. I just didn't know it until I saw it for myself.

This Bissell carpet cleaner is super easy to use and really has unbelievable power with removing deeply imbedded dirt. Had other brands and smaller Bissell cleaners but this is well worth spending a few extra dollars to get a super powerful cleaner. Easy to set up and put away. I believe you really get what you pay for-if you want quality this is the one. Very, very happy with my purchase!!!! Works in the car, too!!! Wow!! After many food spills with eating in the car due to COVID-19 this cleaner is unbelievable—carpet looks like new.

The directions say to use warm water. Their idea of warm water, and my idea of warm water are night and day apparently. I used warm water once, and it had to be repaired. Use cold water (room temperature) and save yourself the headache. Otherwise, it cleans great. I bought a smaller handheld version of this from Bissell previously, and it was a piece of crap and did not work well. This machine has real sucking power. I also have the hand-held attachment for this machine. It does not clean as deeply but still works well enough for those places that can only be cleaned with a hand-held device. One drawback is the noise. It is noisy. Frequently, it also gets water trapped in the spot where the hand-held plugs in, and it makes a noise that will curl your hair.

I’ve had several different brands of carpet cleaners before but none of them could match the cleaning power of this thing. It has pulled up and refreshed every little thing we could possibly imagine (we have cats and dogs) including spilled wine. Also, it’s very easy to use and stair wand works great. So, the good: suction, pile renewer, refresher, cleaner, ease of use. The one little bad thing I see is that it’s heavy to lug up and down stairs. I don’t mind it as it implies quality product. You definitely get what you pay for! If you’re reading this review, then you need to take the plunge and buy this machine. You won’t regret it.

No carpet cleaner can make new carpet from old, but this machine does an excellent job of cleaning muddy paw prints, pet stains and high traffic area dirt. We and our 2 dogs recently moved into a home with light colored carpets that are good quality, but several years old. This machine has has brought our carpets back to looking beautiful - more than once. The scrubbing brush seems to be aggressive enough and gentle enough to effectively deep clean our carpets without abusing them. This unit has been easy to use, simple to clean, and durable so far. It isn't light, but not particularly heavy, either (empty); however, If you have to go up and down a full flight of stairs, you may want to consider a lighter machine (or buy 2). In use, pushing/pulling it requires a bit of effort, but very reasonable, and inline with expectations. One point to be aware of - don't leave it sitting on your carpet while you empty and refill - if it sits for several minutes powered off immediately after use, a slight bit of dirty water may tend to collect on your carpet right under the vacuum nozzle. Just move the unit to a tile floor or slide something under it while you take a break, and all is well. I have seen these for rent, but having it on hand and ready to go to work anytime allows us to clean one room, or one area on our own schedule. This was money well spent for our home - new carpet can wait until we are ready.

I still don’t understand why CR didn’t recommend this deep cleaner...I’m guessing because it is loud, but IMO, they all are. I have owned every brand and this, by far, is the most thorough cleaner I’ve ever owned! Super easy to fill & empty the tanks. Very thoughtful design. Plus, it has an extremely long cord so it has an amazing reach. Highly recommend!

This is the best upright home carpet cleaner, yes it’s loud and yes it’s heavy. But I can put earplugs in and have my husband or son carry it up the stairs for me. The reason someone buys a carpet cleaner is to clean carpets not for the sound or weight. I review all of the home carpet cleaners on consumer website and this is the only one that had 5 stars for cleaning. I bought this because my puppy used my sons room as a bathroom (my sons fault for sleeping through the puppies pleas to go out). It not only got the stains out it also removed the smell. I gave it 4 stars because you have to fill it multiple times before the work is completed. But I can deal with that if it gets my carpets clean. After I cleaned my sons carpet I did the rest of the house and you never know how dirty your carpets are til you use this product. Hands down the best carpet cleaner

Aside from being heavy and a bit unwieldy to use, this carpet cleaner is fantastic. We had to clean incredibly dirty carpets, I mean carpets that were black with dirt in places. Now they look almost brand new. It's phenomenal how clean this thing gets carpets, and I can't wait to try the hose on our sofa! Excellent product. Worth the money.
