I bought this product to safeguard the laptop I recently acquired. Following thorough research, I chose Bitdefender as the protective solution for my new laptop.

After looking for a security solution that could protect all of my devices, I decided to purchase the digital edition of BitDefender Premium Security. I have been extremely impressed with its performance and the included features. The software has effectively detected and blocked web attacks, ransomware, and other cyber threats on my PCs, Macs, and mobile devices. One of the standout features of this software is the unlimited and secured VPN traffic. As someone who values their online privacy, this feature has been a game-changer for me. It allows me to securely and anonymously browse the web without worrying about my network traffic being compromised. Additionally, the VPN is compatible with most operating systems, making it a great option for multi-device protection. Another feature that I have found to be incredibly useful is the fully featured password manager. As someone who has multiple accounts across various platforms, remembering complex passwords can be a challenge. The password manager included with BitDefender Premium Security solves this problem by securely storing all of my credentials in one place. It even allows me to generate strong, unique passwords for each of my accounts, ensuring that they are not easily compromised. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of BitDefender Premium Security. Its comprehensive protection and useful features have exceeded my expectations. The unlimited and secured VPN and fully featured password manager, in particular, have made my online experience safer and more convenient. I would highly recommend this software to anyone in need of multi-device security.

This Premium version includes Bitdefender’s Total Protection for 10 devices and adds unlimited VPN and a password manager but it lacks the identity protection and monitoring that is being included by several competitor's “premium” software. If you don’t need identity protection and monitoring then this version is one worth considering. If you already have a VPN provider you may find it more economical to get Bitdefender’s Total Security versus this Premium version which includes unlimited VPN. I have relied on Bitdefender’s protection for years now and I think its one of the best security software solutions available, the question is if the unlimited VPN access and the password manager is worth the extra cost. I have tried many internet security programs over the years and I have found that Bitdefender offers great protection with the least impact to my pcs. Their software never slows down my gaming or impacts my work environment. What I like most is that the Bitdefender dashboard is very intuitive and easy to navigate. With a quick glance I can see if I am safe and access many of the various features that Bitdefender includes with the software such as VPN status, one click optimization, file shredder and password protection. The notifications keep you up to date on any suspicious activities and lets you get a good feel for how well your network and pc are secured. The software protects against viruses, spam and advanced threats. It offers full firewall protection and ransomware remediation. It also includes a nice password manager if you already aren’t using one. The VPN control is on the main dashboard and when you click it a second webpage opens that indicates the VPN status as well as a list of virtual locations. There are 53 international virtual locations and 15 US virtual locations that you can select from. While this is a good amount of virtual locations its far less than some dedicated VPN providers include with their subscriptions. I chose several different locations and was able to verify that the various websites I visited thought I was originating from my virtual location. The one thing this does not have is any type of identity protection beyond standard browser protection. More security programs are including dark web scans and monitoring for unauthorized use of your email and other important personal information to proactively report a data breach. This feature is generally included in most premium software packages along with unlimited VPN but its missing from this version. When I went to install the digital version of this software I reached out to Bitdefender via a chat to verify that I could have this new subscription without affecting my old one. Bitdefender was quick with a response that said I could have multiple subscriptions under the same account. What I didn’t realize however was that I needed to fully uninstall my old Bitdefender software prior to installing the new software. If you don’t do this Bitdefender just reinstalls the same software you had previously. After uninstalling the old software I was able to install the new software without any issues.

I am always hesitant to use any kind of security software. For most of my needs, the security software already included in Windows is sufficient. Plus, it used to be that most security software really gave your computer a hit to performance. I never felt the trade-off was worth it. I was able to use Bitdefender for a bit when I upgraded my Router, and it came with a version of this software. After giving it a shot, this is the security software, most should run. It’s simple, and not resource-intensive, you can track your security information from your phone, and the suite also includes security software for all of your tablets and phones. Installation is very simple, and when you setup your account they can send a link to your other devices to get those quickly setup. You get 10 licenses to use on 10 devices so it should cover most households. I have it running on my 2 laptops, and 2 mobile devices. The interface is almost identical on each version of their software so maneuvering around is easy. Your able to opt in to different security features depending on your needs. It even includes a convenient VPN to hide your online information should you find yourself using a public Wi-Fi connection. This is a great security software. Setup is very simple, you will not notice a hit to your performance, and includes different ways to keep all of your devices protected. This is much more than just an antivirus software. You get optimizers to keep your device running smoothly, it can keep you safe against malware, phishing scams, and hide your online presence with the VPN. There is so much to this software, but the great thing is you get to choose what features you want to enable. An easy recommendation for anyone looking to protect their devices and online surfing.

Great security kit. It was very easy to install in several devices (up to 10 devices are supported and you can install on your PC, MAC OS, iOS device, Android). You sign up for a free account on their Dashboard web and then enter your activation key. From there you can choose where you want to install your protection. I chose my PC and also my iPhone. It automatically downloads an install file on my PC and I thought I had to sign in and a convoluted setup process, but NO, it was super easy! The install file already had all my info on it (since I downloaded it from my account online on their Dashboard web). From there, the install process on the PC was super easy. Once installed, it asked me to perform an initial scan to see if there were any existing threats, there were none, thankfully. The PC program is very comprehensive, it has a VPN, Antivirus, antimalware, anti ransomware etc. My biggest concern on the PC was if the app was going to be a resource hog. I'm happy to report that it is not and its super light! I game on my PC so I need every little bit of power available and I was able to see the protection grabs little to no resources and also my CPU cores sleep properly while on idle (I've had past bad experiences with other apps that hog resources and wont allow the CPU to sleep properly while idling and this was not the case at all!). Its also very configurable and one of the options I liked is that you can have profiles (which you can activate automatically or manually). IE you have a gaming profile (max performance and no distracting notifications, since most games run on full screen, this is vital) and there are many other profiles. I also installed the app on my iPhone and it is great. Right from the bat it told me my iOs version was outdated and to check for updates, good boy! If it wasn't for the app would have not notices (and the iphone never notified me either, even so I have it setup to auto update). It will also protect your internet on your phone and you also have a VPN available (which for mobile devices is a must, if you connect a lot to public wifi networks!). Great protection suit all around, loving that its a yearly subscription and I don't have to worry until next year!

Full protection. That's what everyone needs when it comes to their workstation, cellphone and home computer. We all know how dangerous the web can be, so why do we rely on our OS to identify and take care of threats? Let the experts do it. Bitdefender is a proven security software company who will make it as easy as possible to use. You can put it on auto protect or customize what you want to prioritize. It's simple. Most users, including myself, want it to be as easy as possible to protect our online identity and our finances. Most of us won't want to dive into too many settings, but again, they're here if you want to. The onboard VPN is one my favorite features of this package. No need to pay extra for a VPN from another company. Bitdefender makes it a toggle you can switch on and off. Stop attacks before they begin, keep safe from ransomware attacks, secure your online experience, protect your privacy, and manage household devices. All of this on up to 10 devices! Both Apple and Android have an accompanied app to download as well. Protect your phone while you're at it! I would encourage anyone who made it far enough to read reviews to not look any further for security. There's really no need to.

I’ve used quite a few virus protection products over the years and I go for the ones that have a light touch on my system because I don’t love having software that is always running impact my system’s performance. So when I got a hold of BitDefender, I was fairly skeptical that it was going to replace my malware software / Windows Defender tag team of protection. Bottomline up front: Well, I think I’m going to end up using BitDefender on a regular basis. One of the things that I really like about it is how it goes through my system and checks for vulnerabilities. I really like the “Vulnerability Scan!” Not only does it check, but it also explains the reasons why system settings should be how they are. I had no idea that I was leaving my system open to infiltration. This product made it easy for me to secure my system, and didn’t force any of the recommendations on me. Malware/Virus Scanning: Scanning my system for malware took a long time. A tad longer than the competition to do a full scan. I would say the difference in speed was about 4 minutes. (Specs: I have two 4TB NVMe SSDs and a smaller 2TB SSD on my system) The entire full and complete scan was 28 minutes. The quick scan on my system took a little over 5 minutes. Both of the scans could be done in the background but I was testing the speed and let it take over my PC. The scan found one piece of malware which it removed with no issues. I was surprised because I had just scanned with Windows Defender before installing this software. The premium version of the software includes VPN, and ransomware protection, which are pretty important to me. You also get a file shredder that makes sure trashed items are fully trashed and a password manager, but I didn’t use it because it doesn’t work with Edge as smoothly as the one that I’ve been using for the past 8 years. I tried out the Safepay super secure browser environment that is supposed to prevent hacking while using sites you want to be secure. It includes a random key onscreen keyboard too. I guess that would prevent a keylogger that might be installed on your computer from stealing passwords and pins. Fairly hardcore if you need it. If you don’t want to have your webcam or microphone recording you when you don’t want them to, there is a privacy mode that allows you to restrict which apps can use them so you have positive control of when they’re on. I think this package is a pretty good value because it’s so easy to get beyond 5 devices after you take into account your phone, tablets, laptops, and computers. This software includes 10 installs and I’m probably going to end up using 8 of them when I get done protecting all of my gear. There are more features than what I put in this review but its getting long. Considering the really good price I recommend this highly!

I last used BitDefender products back with the 2018 Total Security product and was not overly impressed, especially with the Android version. Now a few editions later I am giving Bitdefender - Premium Security a try. This review will center around the PC version, installation on my Windows 10 PC was seamless, I did not have any problems. First thing I noticed was an evolved interface and the inclusion of a few additional capabilities including an unlimited VPN service and a Vulnerability scan, which examines your PC for vulnerabilities of the OS, missing Critical Windows update, Browser security, Application updates, Network & Credentials and Wi-Fi and Router security. You can address missing updates from other products and applications from within the BitDefender interface, pretty nice. The interface is much like others and you can access many of the functions from the main panel, with menu options along the left side of the application interface, this is refreshing as other Security products have adopted interfaces heavy in cartoonish interfaces complete with avatars. The program took a long time to install, with much of it taken up by a prescan of your system. The real-time protection seems to perform well, with not much of a performance hit. I configured notifications, including network application access via the firewall and was amazed at the number of OEM and other programs which wanted to reach out to the internet each and every time you start up your PC, actually after seeing this I uninstalled some unneeded programs. The Online Threat protection also blocked a browser connection to a site with an expired security certificate, which is a good catch. Overall, there is a plethora of capabilities and settings on the left side of the main interface panel, including a Dashboard, Protection, Privacy, Utilities, Notifications and Settings items. Too many to get into individually but you could spend a considerable amount of time exploring each. What you need is enabled by default so if you don’t want to explore the product more in depth you have a default set of capabilities which suit most purposes. Many vendors don’t allow you to configure individual features and others overcomplicate it. BitDefender sems to be somewhere in the middle, which is a good place to be in this case. What I also like with BitDefender Premium Security is it will coexist with other PC Security products, sure it informed you to uninstall another security product, but like Windows Defender, portions of it can coexist with another security product. As for the VPN service which has become a common place offering in Security suites, my experience was good, the iOS security offering has a built in VPN capability, but it now tells you to download the standalone Bitdefender VPN client. Performance was good, although download latency was a bit high, with Upload latency being really low, this finding was a bit unusual as it is usually reversed. Ping times were very good. The service was mostly reliable but as with other VPN clients it had some issues in blocking access to some of my local network resources that other products did not have an issue with (for instance a security camera app). Not a huge issue, at least their VPN clients do provide a lot of configuration settings including split tunneling which allows you to configure VPN bypass options to access certain sites (for instance some sites detect VPN usage and don’t allow it or make you go through a multi factor and/or a captcha authentication process). I was impressed with the configuration options for VPN. Pros: - Security suite provides a lot of capabilities. - Unlimited VPN services included. - Will detect vulnerabilities in other products and update them if needed (including monthly Microsoft updates). - Windows, Mac OS, Android, Apple iOS versions included in subscription. - Easy install. - Straddles the line between cartoonish interfaces and those leaning towards technical. - Configurable for those that need specific settings - VPN client has more configurable settings than most. - Real time detection does not really hinder performance of your device Cons: - iOS VPN client had some issue switching between cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity, sometimes hanging.

I think this has gone smoothly. Last year, I bought a physical copy, as I did the year prior. I found that Bitdefender had also "auto-renewed" my subscription, so I paid for it twice. Auto-renewed copy was significantly inflated on price. This means that Bestbuy shared my credit card information, but the manager at the local store says that could not happen. I don't believe that. I did not get any reimbursement from Bitdefender for this. I tried.

This is the best security. It has everything and more. New upgrades and add-on security that is installed during the life of the membership purchase. It is worth the price for total security. I have been using it for years and it has done what it advertised and more.

Bitdefender Premium Security was just the protection I was looking for to safeguard my PC & snartphone. I upgraded from their Total Security software to get unlimited VPN & a password manager. The download was simple & seamless. I'm still getting used to having to input a master password frequently but it's a small inconvenience to pay for the added security. Best Buy matched Bitdefender's price without the hassle of an auto renewal at a higher price next year. Not a fan of Bitdefender's renewal policy but love their product.

Bought this about a month ago. Definitely a good purchase. I really like that it comes with VPN that's a big one for me. Of course you gotta get the pricey one for the VPN but it's worth it and I get to protect about 10 devices including phones. Definitely recommend.

I've been using Bitdefender Premium for over five years. It catches everything. The VPN is great. I bought this for myself. But a family member got me the exact same thing. So I'm using the gift first. I tried returning the one I bought but was told digital items cannot be returned. The great thing about this is, after speaking to customer service, they told me that your subscription won't begin until you activate it. So after my current subscription expires in a year, I'll activate the other one.

One of the best security programs out there. Easy to use and protection is outstanding. Has everything I need including password manager! So glad I went with this and got rid of Norton.

Love how easy it is to use and it does a great job. Love the VPN as well. Just don't pay full price for it.

Great value. Easy to install. Seems secure. No problems on laptops. One issue I had was with the Bitdefender VPN Mobile App. That App wouldn't allow the VPN to work on Pixel 6a but it did work through the main Bitdefender App (though it states that soon all will have to use only the VPN Mobile App). A phone that the VPN App did work on caused GPS problems while using the Waze App.

This product is the best that I've used to secure my computer, and now my phone. I will only use a different product if this one is unavailable. Just today, someone sent an attachment to my phone, had I opened it, I would have had problems for as long as it took to get rid of what was hidden in there. Bitdefender deleted it after warning me about it. There may be some that are close, but I doubt that there are any that are better.

I have used Bitdefender with VPN for several years. Love the VPN, have never been infected.

Good product, not invasive, gets the job done nicely.
