No, they work and they do the job and a budget price. If this is what you can afford, get these! If you can afford more, get something better (cough cough Google Nest cough). I got these cameras for my not-very-tech-savvy father who lives in a sketchy part of town. These cameras are battery powered, easy to install and the Blink app is straight to the point. $10 a month gives you the ability to have recordings saved to the cloud, While I wish the video quality was a bit better, he loves these cameras.

Only works for 30 days before plan ends! BOO!

I have the XT2 system, and asked the sales person for an add on XT2 camera. Was told it’s just the updated model. Never was told it only works for 30 days then you must buy a plan. Not happy with sales person who just said “updated” and nothing about “you’ll need to buy a plan”

Good Security Camera for low cost

Installation and set up is super easy. Best part of Blink is you don’t really need a paid subscription. It can store videos locally onto your thumb drive. Main draw back is the delay in motion sensor video capture. Overall it’s a ok security capture for low cost.
