External camera instead of a door bell camera

We pointed it at where someone would stand at the door. The original door bell still works but if someone rings the bell when we are not home we will only be aware if we hear the camera signal there's someone so that's a function we've lost using this instead of the door bell camera. This was easy to add to our internal cameras and the mount is more flexible than the door bell.

Not a fan of this for home security

The night vision is not good. I have to replace the batteries each month, sometimes sooner. Video quality is not good unless the lights are on or during the daylight.
