I absolutely love these headphones. I previously owned the QC15 version, and I could not be happier that I decided to upgrade to this pair. First off, I love that these special edition ones are monochromatic in black, including the Bose logo. They are a bit lighter in weight, the sound quality is great, and the noise canceling is even better than before. These make airline travel much quieter. They also make studying in noisy environments bearable and help me to keep my concentration. One other convenience is you are able to answer calls and speak through the attached microphone with volume control. Overall, I am very satisfied and would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality pair of noise canceling headphones.

If you are looking for headphone that completely blocks out the outside world, then these are for you. They do so while allowing the rich sound of whatever music you're listening to envelop your ears.
These headphones are not big on bass, instead you get a natural rich sound that won't disappoint. Buy them!

First think I have to say is...get a warranty. Headphones stop working way to easily (for me anyways since I work in a busy place and they get bumped around a little) and best buy has stopped trying to fix them so they simply replace them.
Besides that, I love these headphones. The sound quality is good in the loud busy place I work in and I love how you don't have to always have them turned on (using the battery) to hear sound unlike the last pair of Bose I had. I still wish this was a rechargeable headphone instead of using batteries because if you use them everyday like I do, you will go through a lot of batteries but with the option to just use normal sound quality without using the battery for everyday use at home is nice. Its not heavy but if your working in warm conditions, the ear cushions do get a little warm against your head (not due to the device itself just due to your own body heat) and sweat likes to collect around them. The last Bose headphones I owned had a longer cord then this one so I kind of miss that but the cord on this is long enough for most people, just not for me. I'm happy with the headphones, I just hope it last longer then a year unlike my last pair.

In the past year I finally found some behind the ear hearing aids (Oticon Nera Pro) which were comfortable to wear at about the same time I decided to finally replace my original Bose Quiet Comfort headphones (because the foam padding was falling apart after years of use). I was pleased to discover that wearing the QC 25's over my hearing aids did not cause *uncorrectable* feedback, thanks to both the shape of the headphones and the noise cancellation capabilities of my hearing aids (and probably the shape of my ears). The noise cancellation aspect of the QC 25s during air travel is a definite improvement over that of the original QCs (amazing that this is even possible!), and the sound reproduction is remarkable (as usual)! I haven't tried using the QC 25 telephone capability, but I can see how it would be a nifty perk for those who don't have the super powers that come with my hearing aids. The QC 25s come with fewer adapters and no extension cord, which came with my original QC, but several of those adapters were for old technology, and extension cords are probably easy to come by (I haven't looked b/c the one that came with my original QCs still works fine for letting me stand up and walk around a bit during webinars viewed in my cubicle at work). Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase!

Prior use of an earlier model led me to choose the Bose headphones. These headphones work for noise-cancellation delivering crisp audio and significantly reducing external noise. I fly a fair amount and they reduce cabin noise creating a more pleasant flight. They are pricey but perform well.

Bought these for my wife due to her love of my Bose NC headphones. She used mine for travel and for occasional home use to drown out distractions. When Bose finally offered another color option other than black I jumped. Very classy headphones. You pay for it, but Bose does a great job. Would be 5 stars if not for price...

I was on the hunt for Noise Cancelling headphones for a while. I went online and did research for about 3 months to find the best ones. The QC 25 fit my budget (although I would have LOVED to splurge the QC 35 II) and get the job done. They are super comfortable. Although they are wired, if you want to listen to music. There are Bluetooth adapters to free you of the cables that range from $20-$60 for the longer battery life. Wire has a mic, which is helpful, and the carrying case is very convenient.

Best noise cancelation hands down

I have worn many headphones in my life, and these headphone are in my top 3. I have listed all of the pros and cons down below.
Build
Build quality is great, even though its plastic (poly carb I think) and it has metal in all the right places (ear cups, and hinges) these will not crack, snap. unless you are really trying. And they are crazy light weight and are super comfortable, great for long term users. The headphones fold flat making it nice and portable with its hardshell case.
9.9/10
Features
These headphones have the best noise cancelation in the market hands down. It is super quiet, I ride the bus and these headphones shut everything out, and when music was playing, its an amazing experience. the only slight down fall is that you need a battery for it, but it will last a long time (for me about a two weeks), but even if your out of juice it will still play, just with out noise cancelation.
10/10
Sound quality
I am not an audio file. And this part is all up to the consumers preference. Its great in all genres, but for bass its in near 50/50. The noise cancelation does have an EQ it makes the music a bit louder and adds a bit more bass. But its all up to what you enjoy listening to. Try them out.
No score
Hope this helps.

1 year & 1 month later, inline broken

I am 1 year + 1 month past my Bose warranty and my inline mic/remote wire is defective. It looks brand new, but the right angle connector has a loose wire at the phone end that I cannot repair myself. When I hold the connection just right, I can get full audio sound, and when I release, I get a mixture of static and audio in & out because of poor connectivity. It's definitely defective. I have requested a warranty replacement but more than likely this replacement will cost me additional $ according to other replacement stories that I have read. Buyer beware.

Spent over half an hour in a Best Buy just trying on different noise canceling headphones and nothing kept bringing me back like these Bose. The QC25 is so comfortable, lightweight, and has such soft ear pads, I hardly even notice that in wearing them. In fact, they are so comfortable, I actually do forget that I'm wearing them. By far the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. But onto the main event, the noise cancelation is top, top notch. Best in the class. No other headphone I tried in store could cancel out sound like this one. At home, I could not believe how they could cancel out the loud street noises of motorcycles and cars, even with no music playing. And as for the sound quality, it's really quite good. I won't lie, I've heard better sounding headphones, and even at much lower prices than the Bose, but I did not buy these for audiophile grade sound quality. I bought them for their superb, amazingly effective noise cancelation. Just the fact that they happen to have really great sound too is a bonus for me. Nonetheless, the sound profile is very well balanced and suited to all music. The bass is not super punchy and heavy, though, so just a thought to keep in mind if you're a bass head. Clear highs and mellow mids lead to a smooth listening experience. In general, consider these headphones as industrial grade earmuffs with the added bonus of rich, clear sound, and dreamlike comfort.

These are costly, but of you travel a lot or have a noisy office, they are well worth it. Single AAA battery has good life and you can store an extra battery inside the case. The case is nice, fairly compact and somewhat discreet aside from the Bose on the front. Headphones are very comfortable, very light, and the leather ear surrounds stay surprisingly cool. Sounds is excellent, both with noise canceling on and off. Comes with airplane double headphone jack adapter. Note: does not eliminate all noise, nothing does, but these get close.

I previously had the original Bose noise canceling headphones (v2). They lasted thousands of miles and nearly 12 years. It pained me when they recently died and I needed to replace them. These new QC25's are their replacement. I use them to both to keep out the household noises when I work at home as well as for listening to music without distrubing anyone in the room.
The QC25's are very comfortable and the sound quality is what you would expect from Bose. I love the ability to replace the battery if need be since there will certainly be a time when a built-in battery would run out of power when there is no recharging source available.
The detatchable cable is more streamline than on earlier models. I would have preferred they NOT fold up into only a slightly smaller carrying case (about 2" narrower than my older headphones). I am a little suspicous on how reliable the hinge will hold up but I will give Bose the benefit of the doubt based on their previous product quality.
The sound quality and comfort level is so good that I got my wife her own pair for both music and traveling. How many folks can say that about the other noise canceling headphones they own?

Though the price is high, the sound and the noise canceling quality are what you would expect from Bose. They fit very comfortably on a long plane ride and cancel out all of the engine noise allowing for a relaxing flight listening to what you want to hear not what you don't want to hear. A little more plastic than I would like, especially at the joints, but that does keep it light. Battery life is great.

Purchased this for a long international flight. The Noise Reduction was significantly better than the NR headset provided by the airline. Audio quality with the NR is excellent. Very comfortable fit. Nice compact package--easy to carry. A bit pricey, but worth the premium price.

I bought these awhile back mainly for travel by air for noise-cancellation purposes and not so much for audio quality. I saw these on discount and pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier for what they do, especially at the price point on Best Buy!
First off, the sound quality of these are good, but not the best pair of over-ears I have; that status would go to the V-Moda Crossfade m-100's. The sound is more than acceptable though, especially when using the noise-cancelling feature. The sound is not as "dynamic" to me, but work exceptionally well for a noisy environment like a plane. The bass is not quite as prolific or highs not as detailed as I would like, but I can live with that considering that most folks buy these for its noise-cancelling properties anyway. But the sound is still pretty good, but it's not a daily driver and is used for travel mainly. These headphones work for music listening as well as watching movies.
The build quality seems good enough, nothing exceptional to report. Hopefully, the earpad material will last and not disintegrate overtime. If it does, there are replacement ear pads that can be purchased.
The comfort is on point for me. I have used them on 2 oversea flights of 6+ hours and they remained comfortable throughout the flight. They warm up like any over-ear headphones do normally, but I don't have an issue with this this on flights as it's always a bit chilly on the plane for me anyway. I wear glasses and the headband and ear cups don't pinch too much on the eye glass arms on my over-sized head. This is a problem I have with other headphone brands, but not this one! Also, I appreciate that the ear cups are large to the point that my entire ear fits inside without any contact with the ear pads. This is due to the fact that BOSE used less ear pad material, but in this case it works and I think they are more comfortable for me than having a overstuffed ear pad like some manufacturers tend to do. Good job BOSE on this!
The battery life is great as its rated for 30+ hours on a single AAA battery(included). I have not had to replace the battery yet and believe that it could last as advertised. The included case is nice and holds the included 3.5mm cable, which is detachable(important when you just want to sit there and enjoy some quiet without listening to any music), accessory adapter for the plane if needed. The case is compact for travel as the headphones fold nicely and overall, these headphones in the case don't take up much room in the bag.
Regarding noise-cancelling, these are excellent and probably only topped by the newer QC35's overall. I picked these over the pricier QC35's because they are simpler to operate(3.5mm cable and 1 button to turn on the noise-cancelling), battery-operated and much cheaper when I bought them($178 vs. $349 for the QC 35's). Also, I don't have to recharge them, I can simply swap out the battery(there is a slot in the case to store an extra battery) or I could use a rechargeable AAA if I wanted to go that route. My girlfriend has the QC 35's and I compared my QC 25's noise cancelling and while the QC 35's are slightly better, it is not significantly better to justify the twice the cost to me. The QC 25's are a much better deal and bang for your buck in my opinion, especially when you can catch them on sale!
