Highly enjoy these earbuds. I did recently purchase the AirPods Pro 3’s mainly for gym workouts and the talk to transparency mode. I love the Ultra Quiet comfort Gen 2’s for home use (even though they would be great for the gym too). They lay flat in the ear so if you fall asleep on your pillow it won’t bother your ear at all. The sound quality edges out the airpod pro 3’s with better bass and more natural sounds. They are super comfortable in the ears, more than the air pod pro 3’s! They hold into your ear during intense workouts better too. They look great too. I have the desert gold and they look dope. Not too blingy at all. More of a subtle dark gold color with matte black background. The case has gold specks in it which I thought was a nice touch. The immersion mode is just like apples. The ANC is great and hard to say it’s better or worse than the Air Pod Pro 3’s too. If Bose has an update for the ultra quiet gen 2’s that give it talk to transparency mode, then I’ll say the Bose will edge out the air pod pro 3’s marginally in all categories.

These earbuds are really good, the noise canceling and sound levels are far better than what I had initially expected. They are also a comfortable fit.

I'm on my 4th set. The first pair lasted 2 years. The 2nd lasted 1 year. The 3rd lasted 1 week. And now on my 4th. The sound is great. The problem is that the phone capability are poor. They stop working. The first two on the receiver's end. The last set on my end. I hope this set will last!

I love them. I go to the gym with them. constant travel and the work perfectly. I was concern that it wasn't going to be as smooth as airpods but they work better i believe. I can connect several electronics at the same time and switch between them. love that feature.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen)
The QuietComfort line features a slightly unconventional design, characterized by its established configuration: an outer stem attached to a more rounded central body, which in turn feeds into a slender nozzle. The new earbuds are well-made and have a premium feel. They are equipped with stability bands, small ridges that tuck into the top part of your inner ear to aid in a more secure fit and help seal out outside noise better than most buds. Soft enough to be comfortable yet firm enough to act as an anchor, they’re a great addition that enhances the QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen)’s use for commuting and sports. I tried them out for a few short runs and some long walks and found that their locked-in fit made them a viable pair of sporting earbuds. The ear tips are comfortable, and you receive three pairs of each tip, along with three pairs of stability bands in small, medium, and large sizes.
The new Bose buds offer six hours of battery life on a single charge, with three additional charges from the case, resulting in a total of 24 hours of battery life. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging the case but no power brick is included. A quick charge that provides 2 hours of listening time after just 20 minutes of charging. An induction charger is listed in the paperwork that comes with the buds, but when following the link, the US site states that it is not available in your current area’.
Bose advertises several improvements with the 2nd Gen Ultra Earbuds, including more responsive noise cancellation and improved noise suppression. The 2nd Gen is still one of the top contenders in active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, and an excellent choice for most people, with comfort at the forefront. The buds also support Bose-exclusive features, such as CustomTune, which customizes your audio based on the shape and depth of your ear canals. Sounds good on paper, right? I use several different brands of Earbuds with varying amounts of ANC, ranging from mild to max, but the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds stand out at the top of the field. They are comfortable and provide a good seal to help block out extraneous noise not driven by the earbuds themselves. The AI has a learning algorithm that works. It is better at detecting and blocking background noise that intrudes into your normal life. It is better at blocking out those fan noises, truck engines, blowers, and mowers. It is effective at blocking noisy workmen, voices, and crying children, as well as the clicking and clacking of that efficient mechanical keyboard.
Usually, I prefer to use the maximum settings most of the time, but it is nice and helpful that there are extra noise-canceling levels for when you are working in a busy environment that requires the ability to hear something. Transparency mode is also good, and it sounds natural enough. It was perfect for grabbing a bite to eat with friends or family without the need to yank my earbuds out of my ears, which is always handy.
The controls built into the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds have a large touch panel on the outer edge of the buds. Press once to pause your tunes, swipe up and down to control the volume, and double tap to skip a track. Hold the touch panel to activate your chosen shortcut. They’re responsive and work well. However, I often use the app on my phone to fine-tune what I need to set things to.
Call quality is superb and clear, and it was an absolute pleasure to use while out walking, despite the presence of a lot of street noise. The noise just went away. On the other end, I was told that the sound was very clear, natural and not tinny.
The sound quality of listening to music or watching a movie using the buds is relly good. The bass is thick and dynamic, but the detail and high-end retrieval simply isn’t as good as some buds that are specialized for that type of listening. I wish the EQ in the app had more customization options, but it still helps, even in its current form. I’m not impressed with the immersive audio, except in movies, as it consumes about half of the battery life over not using it. When I’m on a plane trip is about the only time I listen to movies with my buds because I want to get rid of all the things that bombard your hearing on a plane.
A couple of additional points worth noting. It is a nice feature that you can use one or both earbuds according to your needs. Additionally, you have a multi-point connection, which works well. I was able to switch over from say a connection to my PC to Cell Phone or to things I cast to my big screen TV with no problem at all. Kudos to Bluetooth 5.3 and support for Bluetooth multipoint.

Bose is killing it with these new gen 2 products! I love loud music and these are the best ones I’ve tried. They may not look comfortable but surprisingly they feel super great! The battery life is insane too! I can listen to music for hours on end. I’ve had them for about a week and have yet to charge the case

First thought is these sound great. They should, for the price. Second thought was I bought these with my old galaxy buds in mind with the removable wing that made them the only bugs I've ever been successful at getting to stay in my ear. When I first got them, they stayed, but after a week, I now constantly have to keep reinserting the one, which is difficult to do without pausing music or hanging up on whomever I'm talking to.
The next issue is that when I open and close a car door or wear these while on my motorcycle, there's a constant sound that sounds like I'm spreading corrugated tubing of some sort. It makes them completely dysfunctional.
Another minor annoyance is that they are not particularly easy to get out of the case.
Last, I rode from Chicago to Springfield ohio, and the batteries had to be charged twice during that trip. it's a 5-hour trip, so these should have lasted the entirety of the trip on a full charge and they didn't come halfway to that. Very disappointed, Especially for the cost.

I’ve used a lot of higher-end wireless earbuds over the years. Noise cancelling has been a thing they’ve had and something I would always generally categorize as ‘fine’ - good at drowning out ambient background noise like fans, but not great at much else. The noise cancelling on the QuietComfort Ultra ear buds is the best I’ve ever heard on a pair of earbuds and is even better than a lot of full-size headphones I’ve used. Sound and comfort are also high points for these.
The QC Ultra Gen 2 earbuds include 3 sets of ear tips and 3 sets of ‘stability bands’ (wingtips) to get a good fit. They are pre-fitted with the medium size ear tips and the smallest of the stability bands - I went up to the large ear tip and the largest stability band for my ears and was able to get a nice comfortable fit. The earbuds themselves are definitely on the chunkier side compared to other options out there, but they don’t protrude too much. The charging case, which supports wireless charging now, is also on the chunkier size, though it still slides easily into my small jeans pocket.
I connected the QC Ultra’s to my Pixel 10 Pro via the Bose app. There was a firmware update that took about 30 minutes to complete, but after that I was up and running. The Bose app doesn’t offer a ton of customization, but it’s well laid out and easy to use. The earbuds can be controlled through tapping and swiping motions that I was overall happy with. I’ve had problems with other buds where the controls are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough and it seems like Bose has found a good balance with these.
The sound quality on the QC Ultra Gen 2’s is excellent. I have heard other buds that slightly edge these out, but it’s not a difference I would ever notice unless I had them side-by-side. With the default EQ there’s a nice amount of bass and clarity. There is also an immersive audio setting that sounds sort of like a ‘concert hall’ sound preset you might find on an audio receiver, though the effect is more subtle. It definitely adds depth to certain types of content, but things like spoken word have a distracting echo when it’s enabled. In general I left it off, but it’s better than some of the other implementations I’ve heard.
The QC Ultra Gen 2’s support the standard SBC and AAC audio codecs, but they also support AptX Adaptive for higher resolution audio. I know the Pixel series does not support AptX Adaptive, but they do support AptX HD and standard AptX and I was a little disappointed to not see them fall back onto those codecs and use AAC instead. In practice I don’t think I’m missing a lot using AAC, but it would have been
nice to see something more universally compatible like LDAC.
The noise cancelling is the real highlight of these earbuds. I was in our living room with the TV playing a fairly loud volume and our air purifier running a full blast behind me. As soon as I turned on the ‘Quiet’ mode, all of that almost completely disappeared. I could faintly hear some voices coming from the TV, but only with nothing else playing. I’ve never considered using earbuds for any sort of plane rides because I never really thought the noise cancelling could stand up to that sort of environment, but I’d take these on a trip. The transparency mode (or ‘Aware’ as Bose calls it) is also really good and it’s tough to hear the difference of wearing the earbuds versus not.
Battery life is good, but not the best, with up to 6 hours of listening time with immersive audio disables. With immersive audio it’s taken down to 4 hours, which I’m guessing is probably due to the extra processing power and head-tracking characteristics of the immersive mode. If you’re on an extra-long flight, you may need to give them a break to charge inside of the case for a little while.
Overall I’m really impressed with the QC Ultra Gen 2’s. From the perspective of noise cancelling alone I haven’t heard anything better and it’s a solid performer all around. They are expensive to be sure though, and if noise cancelling isn’t a priority there are lots of other choices out there. If you came for the noise cancelling though, you won’t be disappointed.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd gen) raise the bar for in-ear earbuds. The comfort is there, and they sound great across genres. The battery/case holder holds the earbuds and can be charged by a USB cable (case is USB-C) or wirelessly. The earbuds are IPX4, sweat and water resistant, and last up to 6 hours a charge depending on the type of use. They come with S/M/L eartips and bands to secure them in your ear. Both are simple to remove and change as needed. The case can fully recharge them 3 times. 20 minutes can get you 2 hours of use while a full charge can take up to 2 hours. The case takes up to 3 hours to fully charge. The case is lightweight and easy to slip into a pocket to take with you.
The Bose App lets you customize your sound as you see fit with impressive results. Connecting to a phone or other device through Bluetooth (BT) is straightforward and pairs quickly. Each earbuds surface controls songs or answers the phone. Both earbuds do the same functions, so if one is out the other does all functionality. The App lets you choose between Quiet, Aware, Immersion, and Cinema presets, or create your own mode. Immersion Audio selection lets the earbuds shine. In off mode the earbuds sound normal with a good soundstage. In Still or Motion modes, the earbuds simulate stereo speakers around you. Where off/normal is a normal flat across the spectrum, Still or Motion makes the music jump out. The bass really comes alive, the best I’ve heard on earbuds. It feels much bigger than two tiny in ear devices. The Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) is something Bose is known for, and these keep the tradition going. Whether full ANC or partial, it blocks or reduces background noise superbly. Be aware of your world, or escape from it, either way you’re covered. The App EQ has several presets that let you customize as you want to pump up Bass, Mid, or Treble. It also includes boost or reducer for Bass or Treble
The eartips aren’t round, but oval. They still fit fine, and don’t go into your ear as much as other brands. They do create a nice seal to help keep out ambient noise. These earbuds are outstanding. Comfort, clear voice for calls, and the music playback stands out. Across, hip-hop, rock, classical, and jazz, every note was there and sounded great. These are my new go to earbuds.

Noise canceling is excellent. Best I have experienced from any earbud I own. They even give some of my headphones a run for their money. Comfort, stability in the ear, touch controls, wear sensing, multi-point connectivity, call clarity, and passthrough are all excellent. Musicality, in my opinion, is a mixed bag. Overall, these are excellent travel companions and business companions.
Sound:
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 are not what I would consider an audiophile earbud. If pristine audio fidelity, body, texture, imaging, and detail are your primary drivers then the QuietComfort are not for you. I would describe standard two channel stereo performance as clear, flat, a bit lifeless at times, and bass can be muddy. The Bose app provides a three-band equalizer which allows some fine tuning for content. This does help make up for the vanilla flat presentation. The improvement is content dependent and may require additional adjustments as when you change musical genres. For example, I would not use the same EQ settings for Classical as I would for K-Pop.
Immersive listening, on the other hand, is an experience. It is like MSG for the ears. There are two immersive modes: Still and Motion. Still assumes that the listener is sitting still or slowly swinging the head from side to side. Still simulates a pair of stereo speakers located at the front of a virtual room. As the listener swings his/her head from side to side so do the virtual speakers swing in unison around the listener’s head. Swing left and the speakers fill the right ear. Swing right and the speakers pan from right, through center, and to the left ear. Look straight head and the speakers recenter. Bob your head and sway from side to side and the musical sources act accordingly. It is a neat effect.
Motion assumes that the listener is walking, running, or performing other activities. The sound field is cast in all directions as if the listener is in a wide-open space. This has the affect of an audible 360-degree bubble of sound around your head without virtual speakers anchored to any single position in the virtual space. The music is all around you all at once. And this bubble follows you where ever you go, whatever you do.
Both the Still and Motion modes are impressive with what they do. The impact was like floating in my very own concert hall. It is very easy to get lost in the soundscape. However, there are a few downsides. First, detail, texture, and fidelity are sacrificed in order to virtualize, and dare I say, pressurize, the sound field. At the same time, certain frequencies are boosted to increase presence and impact. Second, as much as I enjoyed the immersive modes, I did found them fatiguing after about an hour. Finally, the immersive modes can be so saturating that reverting back to standard two-channel listening was like going from drinking a full bodied red wine to drinking water. It takes a few minutes for my ears to recalibrate. Overall, the experience is pleasing, enjoyable, and unique.
Noise Canceling:
Noise canceling depends on the environment. Assuming there is no music playing, the Bose QuietComfort Ultras do an excellent job of filtering out ambient background noise such as fans, road noise, wind noise, and anything else that is constant and consistent. They provide some benefit by compensating for variable noises such as shouting, cars racing down the road, sirens, honking horns, or someone listening to a loud TV in the next room. Combine music, or talk radio, with noise canceling and you are good to go in almost any environment. As a word of caution. Drowning out audible noise with music that active noise cancelation cannot compensate for could drive you to unreasonable sound levels in the ear. Love yourself, use good judgement, and protect your hearing.
Now, I do not travel much so I cannot tell you how well or ill the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2s perform on an actual airplane. However, I do have a powerful 7.2.6 home theater system that can hit ambient cabin noise levels. I found some ambient cabin noise tracks on Apple Music. No joke! And cranked it in the home theater. At 80 DB, as measured using DBx app on my iPhone (see attached image), The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2, with no music playing, reduced the simulated cabin noise to a whisper. My two massive subwoofers were so loud that my chair was vibrating. What impressed me the most is that the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 did not overcompensate, or overshoot the cancellation frequency and amplitude, for the bass like many other earbuds I have owned. A+ in my book!
Because I could, I auditioned several other pairs of noise canceling earbuds and headsets that I own. They represent products across the price spectrum. My headsets came close but never achieved the same level of quiet ANC that the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 was able to achieve. I am not saying that ANC was poor. Quite the opposite. ANC is quite excellent across products these days. What I am saying is that Bose’s ANC is the best I have ever used.
Phone Calls:
Phone is a mixed bag for me. Transmission, answering calls, adjusting volume with touch controls, pick up and hanging, and auto music shut off/restart all worked exactly as expected. The Bose QuietComfort Ultras just work. Voices, to me, didn’t have the intimacy characteristic that I have come to expect from earbuds or headphones that have phone functionality. I found this strange considering how natural hear through functionality is. Calls are clear for both caller and recipient. They just don’t sound front and center as one would experience with an in-person conversation.
Bose App:
The Bose app starts off with a great tutorial on how to get the most from the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2s. The app provides access to a 3 band EQ, multiple sound Modes, and allows for the assignment of touch gestures. The Modes can prove overwhelming due to the number of presets Bose provides, combination of locked and unlocked features, combination of immersion modes, etc… What Bose does not provide is the ability to build a custom mode from scratch. I would have preferred to build a custom mode for, say classical, with preset noise canceling or adaptive noise canceling, preset immersion, and preset EQ. However, there is enough variety that I ultimately settled on a few key Modes that I now cycle through. Overall, the app does not provide a tone of features but it does provide enough flexibility to get the most out of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2.
Touch Controls:
Touch controls are easy, natural, fast, and responsive. Bose did an excellent job here.
Conclusion:
Overall, I like the Bose QuietComfort Ultras. They are not audiophile quality earbuds, but they are competitive for earbuds at this price point. They really shine with noise canceling, immersive audio, fit, comfort, and hear through. I currently have them connected via multi-point to my iPhone and iPad. They swap quickly and flawlessly between the two. The Bose QuietComfort Ultras wake up instantly when removed from their case and anytime I place them in my ears. They even verbally tell me how charge level and which devices they are connected to. Immersive modes are unique and fun. Best yet, they will not fall out of my ears during everyday movements such as moving, tilting my head, exercising, or head banging to my favorite rock band. And I tried very hard to force these from my ears through swinging my head, eating a meal, and banging my head to one side.
My only real qualm with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 is the critical musical experience. Otherwise, these are excellent travel companions, gym buddies, and will even do great in a noisy office environment. Also, despite the slight weakness with caller voicing, these have already replaced my old, earlier this year, earbuds for phone calls due to their stability in ear, clear transmission, and good enough reception. I am very happy with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 and hope to get years of use out of them.

The Bose QuietComfort (or QC) Ultra 2s are a decent set of ear buds. These are earbuds designed more for people that aren't going to be as active as opposed to athletes. If you're looking for ear buds that are going to be just right for sitting down, relaxing listening to an audio book or simply to mute out those around you while reading, these are perfect. Though if you're going to up moving around in a fast paced environment or doing sports, these aren't going to be for you.
When it comes to build quality, these fall in line with other high end ear buds. They are light, with a unique long design. While the ear buds themselves didn't feel low quality, the case was definitely on the line with it being a more hollow feeling case with a more flimsy lid. The case is also bigger than I expected, making it feel awkward in my pocket compared to other cases.
The biggest drawback of these ear buds for me is the battery life. I believe its tied more to the noise cancellation than anything, but I couldn't get more than 3 hours out of these before they had to be charged. There were times when they were dead in an hour and a half. The case also doesn't appear to charge them to 100% either, at least according to the app. The case does seem to charge them back to full 2 times at least, so you can get almost a full days use out of them. I was hoping with the bigger case you'd get more charges out of it, but that isn't the case.
Sound quality on these is pretty good. They distort a bit at the higher levels but where these things impressed me was the imitation of bass you can get from them. I say imitation because there is no real shake or vibration with them, but you can definitely hear the lows really well, in typical bose fashion. These are probably the best ear buds I've owned for bass. They don't get very loud though unfortunately. Even with the bass down and the mid/treble high, they aren't that loud, which is probably fine for your own ear health.
The longer body on these translates into really easy to use touch controls. I never had a problem using the controls on these once I learned the shortcuts for them. They are responsive to touch and different shortcuts can be assigned based on the side.
One issue I had with them was with the noise cancellation though. On previous ear buds I've used, I had no issue with noise cancellation outside of maybe the fan sound getting past them. With these, anytime there was a loud sound nearby (such as a door shutting) it would create the feeling of your ear about to pop on that side, then go away. It does a good job cancelling the noise, but it also makes sure you notice when there is a louder sound going on around.
Overall, these are very good ear buds for relaxing. There are shortcomings though, but I feel they are of a nature that a firmware update should be able to take care of them

UNBOXING
The earbuds are packaged with a decorative light cardboard outer box with a heavier cardboard inner box containing the product. I had a lot of trouble getting the inner box out with ripping the outer container, but maybe I was just going about it in the wrong way. It gave me a bad first impression that was quickly forgotten once I saw how well these buds work.
Typical of small electronics these days, the included documentation (other than the obligatory multi-language legalese booklet) consist of a panel of hieroglyphics on the box and a QR code that takes you to the Bose app on the applicable store (Google Play in my case). The app has enough help in it to get you familiar with everything, but for people like me who want to read all the details there is a PDF guide available on the Bose support site.
CHARGING
Like most earbuds, these come in a case that has its own battery and charges the earbuds while they’re stored. There is a USB-C connector for charging. Wireless charging is also supported but you have to make sure that the case is positioned so that the button on the back is approximately centered on the charging pad (the light on the front will start blinking).
FIT
The buds themselves look rather strange at first glance and my initial thought was “How are these supposed to fit in my ear?” However, a closer look revealed that they are double-sealing in having not only a conventional tip that goes into your ear canal but also a larger ring that seals around the innermost part of your outer ear. They provide 3 sets of tips and 3 sets of outer rings. That’s like 9 different combinations but fortunately they seemed to fit me well with the pre-installed parts and a “seal test” run from the Bose app confirmed that I was getting a good seal. They feel very secure and are comfortable as well. Wearing them outside I had no concerns that one of them might drop out.
PAIRING
The buds are ready to pair as soon as you open the case – no need to remove them – and it was the easiest pairing that I’ve had. They support the BLE protocol (Bluetooth Low Energy), which makes them discoverable from a device supporting BLE without having to go to the regular Bluetooth settings. So as soon as they were activated, my Pixel 8 phone recognized them and gave me the option to go ahead and do the regular BT pairing. If BLE is not an option, they can always be paired via the Bose app or using the standard BT settings screens. I connected them to a Pixel 8 smartphone, Samsung tablet, and Garmin Venu 2 Plus watch. They support two simultaneous connections and will play on whichever connected device starts an audio stream.
CONTROLS
These earbuds use touch control with no difference in function for left vs right. They recognize single, double, and triple taps for standard functions, swipe up and down for volume, and long-tap to control special features. I ran into some problems with it not always recognizing the taps, and doing something unintended such as advancing to the next song instead of pausing. This might be a matter of getting more used to how they respond and is a problem common to most touch controls of this type. I ran into some minor control issues when playing music from my Garmin smartwatch, but to be honest it sometimes has problems with other earbuds as well and I was able to find a workaround.
SOUND AND NOISE CANCELLATION
The sound that these produce is impeccable and the noise cancellation as good as any that I’ve experienced. In general, it’s as close to an over-ear headphone experience that you’ll find in the earbud form factor. Their “Immersive” sound mode is a case in point: it’s the closest I’ve heard to surround sound from any wearable. Instead of the general stereo effect where the sound seems to be centered between your ears, they somehow project the sound so that it seems to come from somewhere in front of you. If you put it into what they call “Still” mode while looking straight ahead and turn your head to the left, the sound shifts to the right so that it appears to be coming from where you were previously looking! Turn your head to the right and it shifts to come into your left ear. Downright spooky the first time I tried it and a bit of a parlor trick, but an impressive way to show off the technology.
The Bose app also provides access to an “equalizer” function that lets you boost or reduce bass and treble response.
As an example of just how good the new 2nd-gen ANC is, I wore the earbuds while going for a walk and listening to a podcast. It was a breezy day and, like most earbuds, there was a lot of wind noise. I put the ANC into “Quiet” mode and I was instantly walking in a “Cone of Silence.” Not only did the wind noise disappear but also pretty much all ambient sound: my footfalls, a barking dog, people mowing the lawn. When a couple of cars passed me coming from behind and I had no idea they were there until I saw them go by, quieter even than EVs, I knew that it was a good idea to put the earbuds back into “Aware” mode and accept a bit of wind noise. I look forward to using these at a noisy gym. Needless to say, making or taking voice calls on these is also a much better experience with outside noise being eliminated. I doubt you could have better noise cancellation even with over-the-ear headphones.
CONCLUSION
For audio performance and noise cancellation this product is 5 stars all the way and I highly recommend it. I’ve certainly not seen anything better.

This is the 2nd Generation of the Bose’s Quiet Comfort 2 Ear Buds. I never had the original ones so I can’t really compare old to new versions but I have several other high-end competitors compared to. I can say that these are amazing.
When it comes to design, these are very sleek, easy to fit into ear. They do have multiple size ear tips to accommodate ear size. I did notice that I do have to adjust several times to get what I feel is a solid and secure insertion into my ear. Overall, case is very smooth and easy to throw into your pocket and does not feel like it’s too much to carry there. Charging, if you deplete the ear buds, inserting them back into the case will charge them back in 20 min. I also love that you can throw the case onto my charging stand and wirelessly charge but also charge via USBC cable as well. Overall battery life is listed as 6 hours, I have experienced very similar, but I go back and forth between teams calls and Spotify.
Performance and usage, this is where the Bose 2nd Gen Ultra’s shine. It comes with a vast number of configuration options that really make it functional for all scenarios. I particularly like the Modes feature. It comes with several configured modes. Each of which can be tweaked and adjusted to fit your individual needs. For example, within each mode, you can adjust things like Noise Cancellation and Immersive Audio. Like In the “Music” mode, you can adjust the noise cancellation based which primary environment that you are listening in. Turn it up in loud environments, turn in back in quiet environments.
Now, lets get into the “Immersive Audio”. I have to say, this is probably one of the most innovative features I have seen in all my high-end ear buds. You basically have three options, Off/Still/Motion. When turned on, holy cow, my wife was looking at me like I was crazy when I was trying this for the first time. Not only does it feel like immersive surround sound, but the music follows you! Turn your head and you “lean into” the music on either ear you turn into. It’s cool and kind of hard to explain but once you listen to it in action, wow! ..you will understand. EQ settings can also be customized with quick selections for Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Base Reducer and Treble Reducer.
Customization is also possible through shortcuts. You can customize each ears shortcuts such as cycling through modes, making changes to your immersive audio selections, switching your Bluetooth device, accessing your voice assistant or resuming Spotify. Keep in mind that you can only have one option for each ear.
I would highly recommend these and have no reason to give them less than 5 stars. I know I need to play with the different ear options to improve the comfort a bit but it’s really a minor thing.

From the moment I first popped in the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen), I could tell these were something special. The comfort is superb — the fit is so secure and gentle that I nearly forget I'm wearing them, even after hours of use. The sound is rich and balanced, with deep, clean bass and crystal-clear mids and highs that let every detail come through.
What really blew me away, though, was the noise cancelling. It feels like a quiet bubble around me — traffic, conversations, ambient noise, all pushed far into the background. When I answer calls, my voice sounds natural and clear; even in windy, busy places there’s minimal distortion.
Battery life is solid; it easily lasts through a long day of commuting, work, and calls. And when I do have to charge, the fast charge is pretty handy. The design is sleek, refined, and premium-feeling—just what you expect from Bose.

I’m a big fan of Bose. I have many of their products including the 1st Gen Quietcomfort Ultra Earbuds, I have nothing but great things to say about those.
These 2nd Gen Quietconfort Ultra Noise Canceling Earbuds in my opinion are the single greatest Earbuds I have ever had the pleasure of reviewing. They are now my favorite Earbuds no matter the price or brand.
Sure they have touch controls on the sides of the earbuds themselves, you can control the volume up and down, skip to the next song, pause etc. thats great but nothing new.
What makes these great is the sound and Superb noise canceling capabilities. They are loud at full volume, no distortion, best bass in the industry, very comfortable to wear and even have different size gummy inserts for different ear canal sizes. There’s also different size gaskets that go around the earbuds so that they fit better not just in your ear canal but in your ear Well, while maximizing noise cancellation. They look and feel premium, the case is very well designed, Worth every penny. Its Bose so you know that the quality and great reputation is there.
I highly recommend you download the app, you can easily adjust a few things like the volume, EQ settings, noise canceling AND new this year “immersive audio.” This one is hard to explain and make differ between users. The way I explained this is, in the normal amount, you feel the music in your ear canal, but with immersive audio, it’s like you’re hearing music from your surround sound system in your living room, the only difference is you can walk around with this music following you around. If you are reading my review, get these. You will not be disappointed. They look good, they feel good, they sound great.
