Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the SoundSport Free True Wireless Headphones for their excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life. The charging case is also well-received for its convenience. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues, find the design to be bulky, and feel that the price is not justified by the product's performance.

I got these as a gift cause of the color(orange, and I love the color). I didn’t really need another wireless headphone cause I have the AirPods but in my opinion these sound so much better then the AirPods. Clearer sound and can’t beat Bose, so glad I received these!!! Can’t go wrong

I'm a fan of Bose audio products and these do not disappoint. I had a pair of the wired headphones and the cord was always getting in the way. These are way better for working out and cycling.

I love Bose and try not to buy other branded audio products. I wanted this to sync to my Sony TV to use while exercising. Unfortunately, the latency (lag) in sound between the TV and earbuds is great. The newer versions (2018+) of thee products may have Bluetooth 5.0, which is supposed to reduce latency. I don't know if my TV can be updated, though. It's been a while since I tried these, though, so the current model may be updated to 5.0. If I was looking just for music, then I'd give it a 5, but I really want it for TV.

Incompatibility with Win 10 is a deal breaker

having had the experience with the sister model - the Bose Soundsport; I was ready to go for a "true" wireless experience. In my mind I had no doubt that it would be a great product due to my prior experience, but I the Soundsport Free has some flaws. Some that I can live with but one flaw that I really cannot let go, specially at this price point. The Free sounds expectacular. Beautiful sound, nice balance overall, very comfortable (to me), no issues with pairing, all good....however, I found out that when making or taking calls, sound is only from one earbud, not both. As I stated earlier, I can live with that. Another issue, is that compared to the regular soundsport (buds wired together behind the neck), the Free model can only be paired to one device at a time, not 2 devices as the other model....once again, due to the greatness of the sound and wanting a true wireless experience, I was willing to compromise. The straw that broke the camel's back is the lack of Win 10 compatibility. When connected to your win 10 pc or laptop, you are unable to listen to media (Netflix/youtube etc, or music services. To further clarify, all is great while connected to you mobile phone, but not on your win 10 device. This is a known issue by Bose. It's been going on since the Free model came to market with no ETA in sight. There are some users that seems to have a work-around that works for some but not for most, but at this price point us users should not be in a position to fumble around these things. Based on these flaws (I will call them flaws), it seems like the Free was designed to be connected to only mobile devices and not to be used by folks that do work on their work or home computers. As a users, I see the FREE model as a step up to the regular Soundsport and should carry the same features and capabilities forward, not take them away. I returned them since I was not going to "wait" for Bose to come up with a software fix. I got myself another pair of the regular Soundsports (earbuds connected with a wire behind the neck) and they work fantastic.

Awesome Sound quality however the left bud cuts out a great deal. This is about to be a deal breaker. These buds are expensive and there is no room for inconsistency.

Thank you for sharing your review of the SoundSport Free wireless headphones. We're delighted to hear that you're enjoying the audio quality. However, we see that you're experiencing some trouble with the left earbud. We suggest updating the firmware of the headphones using a computer and our online updater - https://bose.life/2LYNuy8. Additionally, this may be caused by interference between the right earbud and your mobile device. The Bluetooth signal is processed by the right earbud which is then streamed to the left earbud. The left earbud will drop out first if there is interference between the Bluetooth connection. We suggest keeping your mobile device on or near your right side while in use. We thank you for your feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve our user's listening experiences. We hope you have a great day! Ashley - Bose Support bose

The sound for the Bose is good. The but is heavy and feels like it’s going to fall out of your ear. So if your getting it to go exercise you may have issues. The charging station is nice. Overall I’m happy

These headphones were a disapointment. I had high hopes but they were not as good as many options that are way less expensive. The sound quality is excellent and if I only used them for music they would be fine but I need them for video for school and the video lag was just too much to deal with. I returned them after a short time. For what they cost, I expected them to work much better when watching video online. I followed all the recommended strategies to correct the issue but it seems that this problem won't be fixed with a software update.

I have been wanting a pair of these forever, finally decided to break down and go a little to the pricier side of Earbuds. I’m very glad I did! They have the best equaled sound! Not too much treble and not too much bass. Just right!

I have tried several wireless headphones. In comparison to them, as I am a Bose fan, I tried several wireless headphones on the market to maintain an unbiased opinion. I was sold on the quality and sound of this pair. Incredible sound with every style of music that I listen to.

If you’re looking for the best quality, you’ve found it. These earbuds are not only the most convenient hold but they are stylish and I personally enjoy the feel of quality. Although the price is high you can’t go wrong by deciding to side with Bose.

Great sound when listening to music. Taking phone calls - only one ear piece (right side) has the voice from the other person. Would like to have in both as my right ear has some hearing loss.

These sound fine - very typical Bose balance and tonality. It’s what I expected from a Bose product. However, the Bluetooth and telephone functionality were terrible. Calls only come through in one ear, making it difficult to hear. If the earbuds are separated by much distance, the connection gets lost and you have to go through a lot of trouble to resync them. Overall, disappointing. I bought the PowerBeats3 on sale for a lower price. Although they don’t sound as good, the functionality is vastly superior.

      Hi Aufioengineer

Thanks for sharing your experience with the SoundSport Free headphones. We are sorry that they didn't live up to your expectations. It sounds like you're a big fan of our Bose products too, we appreciate that! We certainly want to keep you in the Bose family. Regarding the phone communication aspect of the headset, this is a technical limitation of the Truly Wireless Technology that we utilized for the SoundSport Free headphones where the master (right) earbud cannot send call audio to the left earbud. This is typical of this technology, and there are several other benefits to using this, such as comfort, fit, and unrivaled sound quality, as well as convenience. Decent headphones, but not as nice as I was expecting, maybe had higher expectations for them because they are Bose. One annoying thing is that I have to remove them from my Bluetooth Device list and add them back each time I want to use with my laptop or they behave like a voice only device (one ear plays) or not at all. For the price point seems like should not work that way...my hope is that they last longer than the cheap headphones I typically depend on. Not recommending just due to the price and some of the drawbacks I've seen.
