Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the SoundSport Free True Wireless Headphones for their excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life. The charging case is also well-received for its convenience. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues, find the design to be bulky, and feel that the price is not justified by the product's performance.

I purchased these on sale. Great sound and very comfortable. I find them to be a little low in volume (watching videos on a iPad). I listen at just one level below max.

I tried several other brands and none came close to the sound quality, fit, and comfort. The microphone is also good quality when making hands free calls while driving.

These head phones have been amazing in quality, with good battery life (enough to carry me through a full marathon while playing music the entire race!). I purchased these over the Apple ear pods because of the longer battery life and better sound quality given the Bose name brand, and they have not disappointed! The only slight negative is they stick out a little from my head when inserted into my ears, which has given me NO problems with stability in my ears during running, but does make me look like I have small antennae sticking out of my head :)

These were a gift for my boyfriend. He loved them! He is already a Bose fan. He said the sound, weight (very light) and quality is amazing. Loves the charging carrying case too.

These are amazing! Sound great feel good in the ear. They don’t fall out. I use them for the gym and the battery last a good while for me. Still no disappointment from Bose.

Bose earbud is number one brand, very high quality. The sound is very loud and clear, the bass is good. The only thing is little bit pricey.

These sound great. Battery life is also good. The storage case recharges them while they're being stored and has an indicator showing the case's remaining battery level. Use these frequently at work and never had issues with battery or the Bluetooth connection. Works well for phone calls but only the right ear piece is activated during calls. Only issue I have is that they stick out a bit. Would be nice if they were smaller but I wouldn't want to sacrifice battery life or sound quality.

Good sound. The oval shaped earpiece on these Bose earbuds can feel awkward at times but the sound is usually very good. They are bulkier then a lot of the other earbuds that are similar but they have good bass so that makes up for it. I use them while wearing earmuffs for hearing protection so they aren't too bulky. One odd thing happened, the left one ran out of power long before the rt one, though I had charged them equally. If it happens again I'm assuming there is an issue.

Whether you're working out, on a run or running errands, the Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones are for you. They seem a bit bulky but the snug comfortable fit assures they’ll stay in place when working out or during a run. They aren’t noise canceling, but that’s by design... When on a run the sound quality is more than suitable, while offering you the ability to hear the world around you to keep you safe from busy roads and or other runners/cyclists. With that said, these aren’t that great for phone calls, as the sound only comes out of the right earbud. But, I doubt these were designed for long calls.

I usually like bows and don't mind paying extra for the quality in the brand name. However they've got some work to do with these wireless headphones. They are much bigger than the competition however they do sound good. The voice assistant is difficult difficult to access along with the buttons to raise and lower volume. The charging case is solid and good got no complaints of battery life too. But they are extremely bulky and because of that I wouldn't recommend.

I do like these earbuds a lot. I was a little unsure how they would stay in my ears but I have had no problem in the gym or on the streets. I use these on both my Samsung Note 8 and on my Ipad pro using the bose app to connect. I can put my Ipad on a table and walk around the gym still connected unless i walk into another room then it starts to bounce in and out.. Changing the volume and songs from the buds. I have had issues cutting out but they seem to reconnect on there own.

I bought these after using Beats wireless 2's for years. I gym daily, sweat daily and sauna a lot. My Beat 2's never let me know in terms of battery and handling the sweat and heat. When mine finally got to falling apart, I saw these and bought the Bose. I love not having a cord, and I love the charging case and the audio quality has great bass and sounds good (for Bose). However, some major issues that are deal breakers for me.... They shut off over 100 deg (Bose states 122, but that is not right, everyone is having issues on the Bose forums). My Beats NEVER shut off. Also they have firmware battery issues, where they will be fully charged but say 90 percent when you put them in your ear. Audio is still only outputted on one side for phone calls and they randomly shut off or disconnect and then reconnect. To use the App (which is great for firmware updates and integrates with your music player) you HAVE to have GPS on or the app will not even open, which is rediculous. If you need to track the buds, then sure, when you go to the tracking feature, enable GPS, but just to use the app, that is rediculous. They have the potential to be amazing buds, but they need to get these issues fixed, and they are easy issues to fix. I have been a sr. technical product manager forever, and it shows they do not even use the products themselves in real life situations to understand these, or they just don't care.

      Hi, Travman.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your SoundSport Free wireless headphones. We're glad to hear you're enjoying their audio quality, truly wireless design, and portable charging case.

When taking phone calls with the SoundSport Free, audio will play exclusively from the right earbud. We made this conscious decision in order to avoid a possible delay that could occur when streaming live audio with Truly Wireless Stereo.

We definitely understand your frustration with the earphones turning off in warmer environments. You are correct that the SoundSport Free has a recommended operating temperature of 5 °F to 122 °F. We would recommend contacting our support team in cases where your headphones turn off within this range. They are available at 1-800-367-4008, M-F 9 AM to 9 PM Eastern.

We hope you have a great New Year.

      Best Regards,

      Jesse - Bose Support bose

After reading many reviews and I had a certain expectation and expected to possibly have to return these headphones. I thought what the heck, gave them a try and now I am glad that I did. These headphones did not disappoint and actually were a very pleasant surprise. Not only did I get the Bose quality but the best pair of truly wireless headphones I've owned up to this point. I was wary of the issue of the left side going in and out so here is my finding: If you connect these to your phone or device and use the bose app this probably isn't very frequent. Although I would love a greater wireless distance if your phone or device is near these headphones you will hardly have an issue. If you set your phone or device in your gym bad and leave it across the gym you will experience this problem. Additionally, if there are many metal things between the headphones and device (machinery, work out machines) you will experience some disruptions so the common sense approach is to keep the headphones and device near and this will minimize this issue. If you want the great Bose sound and compatibility without the disruption by the wireless buds with the cable that connects them both, Truly the best sound and consistency I've experienced however I despise the cable that connects them. I read complaints about them not being noise cancelling and that is a dumb complaint considering these headphones are not noise cancelling. Another complaint was that these are not good for streaming and I would go in to detail about that but those of you who know better and why this is not a good idea to begin with simply know better. If you want to watch you tube or want to stream movies, or games you will want to use other headphones. I give them a 4 with hopes and expectations that the next model will be more stable with the ability to keep up with streaming and gaming while providing the great sound we've come to expect from Bose. For now these are great for working out and running.
