Customers praise the Panorama 2 Soundbar System for its exceptional sound quality and powerful subwoofer that delivers deep bass. The soundbar's sleek design and easy setup process are also highly appreciated. However, some customers find the remote control to be impractical and the price to be a bit high.

I purchased this primarily to use with my TV. I have difficulty understanding what is being said during regular TV shows. While this soundbar did enhance the overall background sounds, it did not meet my expectations for enhancing the verbiage. I returned the item and bought the Bose soundbar.

I have had complex surround systems before. The whole family found them to complicated to use. With this one speaker I have eliminated all the hassle, and we have fantastic sound.

This sound bar gives excellent performance. It also installed easily and looks good. I would certainly buy it again, or recommend it to a friend or family member.

Very much dissatisfying as this doesn't serve my purpose. I limited output ports and it's only through HDMI.
Many times dropping volume when watching TV.

I bought this and a refurbished MartinLogan Soundbar. The ML blows this away sound wise, so this is getting returned.

Would like to see a bit bigger control that lights up. When watching tv/movies in dark can't see buttons on the control.

this soundbar is an over priced piece of junk... It doesn't work with the ARC HDMI connection on your TV. It doesn't work with Smart TV and the remote works only randomly. and tech support... is a joke on top of that.... it just randomly turns off the TV 3 or 4 times a day

The HDMI ARC connection on the TV is not capable with the new sound bar. I called Panasonic tech support who said the sound bar should be able to pick up the signal from the TV, the tech support at Bowers and Wilkins said that the sound bar should read the signal from the TV and switch to the proper input (I think it was input #4 and this never happened) so as to send and receive audio/video, he further stated that they have had some problems with the HDMI/ARC connection on some TVs. I was able to receive video but the return signal to the sound bar for audio was absent, hence no audio.
I went back to the original sound bar with the Optical Digital connection and it worked fine, however the old sound bar has now been discontinued. What a hassle!

Bought this as open box and got a great deal. I would not have bought this bar otherwise. Was willing to spend $1,000.
This replaced a JBL SB400 that sounds pretty darn good. Picked it up on a Black Friday Deal for $350. At the time didn't want to spend over $500.
After listening to the JBL for a week, seemed to me the midtones and dialogue were a bit flat and muted. (Compared to everything else in that price range, the JBL won hands down.)
Went to Best Buy day after Christmas wanting to listen to the next level of soundbars. Noticed two open boxes, a Martin Logan Vision and the Panorama 2. Had the helpful Best Buy guy play some action scenes to compare the two. They were both pretty close. the thing that sold me was panorama 2 had 3 HDMI inputs, and the Vision had no HDMI inputs. (BTW, the Sonos soundbar by itself sounds terrible. If you add the sub woffer and two extra speakers, it sounds great. Didn't want to spend $2,000.)
I conected the panorama 2 to a Samsung 7100 (60 inch) via the ARC. I have a Verizon Fios cable box and a Sony Blue Ray player connected to the TV HDMI inputs with the TV ARC output connected to the panorama 2 ARC input. (Some people have complained about the ARC not working properly. You must use HDMI cables ver 1.4. Ver 1.3 cables do not support the ARC function.) Bar turns on and off with TV. Can also adjust soundbar volume with TV remote. Put a DVD in the Sony and TV changes the inputs automatically passing the sound through the ARC to the soundbar. No hassles.
Wanted to to test the soundbars set up features to compare to the ARC setup. The only way to make any adjustments on the sounbar is to pass a signal through one of the inputs. I connected the cable box and Sony blue ray player to HDMI inputs on the soundbar and connected the soundbar to the TV through the ARC. With the set up menu you can adjust treble and bass, distance from speaker, type of walls on side of speaker, listening offset from center. Tested with a scene from "Saving Private Ryan" Went back and forth between passing signals from TV to soundbar and passing signals from soundbar to TV. I actually liked the way it sounded passing signal from TV to the soundbar. I think my TV has a better Dolby DTS decoder. (Not Sure?) I then tested against the JBL SB400 (just for fun). Much more detail is picked up with the Panorama 2. The dedicated center channel really helps. No its not surround sound, but it is a wide sound stage with depth. This system has pretty good bass. I might go out and buy a cheap sub woffer just to see if it makes a huge difference. By the way my listening area is aprox 12 feet x 18 feet and its plenty loud for me.
Also tested scenes from "Batman" and "Ironman". The Panorama 2 sounded the best each time. Also tested with several cable channels, sounds natural.
(Recommended to also check settings on how your cable box and DVD player output sound. Some people complained of dropouts. I did not experience any during my testing).
Only four stars due to the remote being awkward, however with my setup I do not need it. There is no bluetooth to stream music from a phone or tablet. (Haven't put too much effort into it, but I'm sure I can get something to play from my router to the Sony or cable box through the ARC to the soundbar). Not worth paying full price. I wouldn't pay over $1,000 for a soundbar. If I were to get a full blown 5.1 surround I wouldn't spend over $1,800.

Why I chose this Soundbar over the others.

I went and purchased this soundbar blindly. I have never heard this soundbar, and actually when I went to test the open unit it was broken, which is not a great sign. However, I had just purchased an 55 curved OLED TV and I wanted the home theatre sound to match. Keep in mind this unit is in my bedroom at 10ft x 10ft.
I plugged this unit into my blu-ray & TV through HDMI, I was then immediately controlling the soundbar with my TV remote. I started a blu-ray "BattleShip". During the first few previews I was extremely disappointed. Then the movie started, and I had realized it was the previews that had poor sound. This soundbar BLEW ME AWAY.
There is no way I would ever need a subwoofer in my bedroom with this soundbar. The surround sound is more 3.1 than 5.1. If you are looking for a true 5.1 sound bar I would go with the high end Yamaha. But if you are looking for the best sounding Soundbar with no subwoofer, and also the best looking soundbar, go with the Panorama. You will not be disappointed.
Also, if you are trying to use this soundbar with ARC it seems to have issues. I do not care about this so it is not a problem. There is also no bluetooth streaming.
If your list for the perfect soundbar is like mine then the B&W Panorama 2 is the choice. This is my list for the perfect soundbar: I wanted 1) Incredible Sound for my bedroom 2) No subwoofer 3) Sleek / Classy look.
All of these fit the bill and my bedroom, with a 3D OLED TV is better than any movie theatre. I also purchased the 4 year Geek Squad plan for my TV and Soundbar. Since this is a powered speaker, I wanted some reassurance at less than 15% the cost of the unit. I am extremely impressed with how Best Buy has treated me during this purchase and all my subsequent purchases. They are amazing. Thanks BB.

...but it just wasn't meant to be. I had similar issues others have written about, but the one I couldn't get over was when the sound would just stop. It would pick up again, but the breaks were too annoying. Geek Squad even came out to help. The tech witnessed the problems, but said there wasn't a way to fix it. I returned it.

Bugs need to be fixed. Go with a Bose or Yamaha.

Will automatically switch inputs from blu ray back to TV. Will do this nonstop without me pushing any buttons. I have to unplug it to make it stop. Sound is definitely not worth the money. Go with a more known and respected brand. Would not purchase another product from this manufacturer.
