This computer has brought back so many memories. with a couple of purchases and a few downloads you can end up with almost all software ever made for the c64. most of it just works. the. you will taken down a path of new software that has recently been developed. Endless hours of fun as a bard or as pitfall harry any mother dozens of characters exploring worlds long forgotten. You can even use old tools like GEOS for word processing or new tools like c64os that turn your c64 into a desktop like environment. well worth every penny and did not even get the starlight edition, which I now regret. maybe I will end up with two.

It is amazing to be able to have again a Commodore 64: The original! compatible with thousands of programs and now made better with new options to load programs from usb flash drives, to access files online, etc ,etc. You can load and store files without need of a disk drive or tape recorder (you can if you want).

It's Christmas 1983 for me all over. A time machine in a box. It feels and functions like I remember. Connects to old peripherals. Modern connectivity without bloatware, news and social media. I think it definitely requires either experience with the system or a desire to learn, but this is probably the best purchase I've made in quite a long time.
