Overall this is a great printer that I purchased for home use. Being pretty "tech-savvy", I was surprised at the challenges I encountered in the setup of this printer. However, after finally reaching tech support, I was able to get the printer working with my Mac.

I oversee more than 20 sites and try to always buy Brother laser printers for price, reliability, availability of toner and ease of maintenance.

Heard pros and cons about wireless printing, but finally got sick enough of all the connecting wires to try it. This model was recommended for my needs by a sales person at my local Best Buy. I had also bought a new MacBook, and was having trouble installing the printer on the MacBook. Brother's customer service is excellent. I called and the knowledgeable and patient rep had me up and working in no time. I have been using it for about a month now, and it has never failed to produce a good print for me.

I'd recommend this to any person needing to print but not on a regular basis. The pages print sharp and clean, and there's no worrying about ink cartridges drying out. The cartridge replacement process is simple and straightforward. At this rate I doubt I'll go through the included starter toner cartridge within the next 12 months, but I can be assured nothing will affect the print quality. I did not test the wireless capabilities as the printer physically close enough to my PC to allow for a wired connection.

Extremely fast printer, cost effective, and small in size that can be easily placed anywhere. Wireless printing works without any issues.

This printer is plenty fast and can duplex automatically! I am very pleased with it and it is a small footprint for tight desk space.

Was time to get a new copier. Do a lot of printing so needed a fast machine. Found this one to be very quick and inexpensive.

I originally bought an ink jet color printer when my 15 year old work horse laser printer gave up the ghost. It didn't take long to realize the inkjet was a terrible choice. The ink was expensive and the print speed was frustratingly SLOW. I decided to cut my losses and get a reliable monochrome laser printer that was economical to operate and produced good results. After reading favorable reviews, I shopped around for the best price. I've had the printer for a few months and believe it meets all my needs.

No problem installing the printer. I initially used my wife's desktop to connect to the printer by use of CAT5 cable through our wireless router. I also was able to connect to my laptop through the wireless router.

Set up was easy, instructions are clear, I did not have no buy anything else, I use it in 2 laptops. Printing is excellent.

This is a simple cost-effective printer that provides good laser printing at a reasonable price in printer as well as the consumables.

I purchased this to replace a Canon ink jet with a dead print head. Because we have another ink jet in the house, decided to buy a printer that didn't require constant ink cartridge feeding. I needed a basic duplex-capable printer that produced high-quality output for typical home/office tasks. This printer meets those needs. I have not used the wireless capabilities, don't really need that because the printer is always connected to a computer, but nice to know that feature is available if needed.

I really like this printer, I had the older version, the 2170w and that lasted me for many years until the drum finally needed to be replaced. I opted to just update the printer instead of replacing it as the cost difference was only around $30. The duplex printing on this works great, the prints are clear and crisp and although I've only had this for a few months I'm expecting this to last just as long as it's predecessor. Brother makes great printers and I'm happy to give them my business.

I purchased this printer for my temporary home office during tax season. It works great and as expected. Prints double sided as indicated by the "DW" in the model number.

Wireless features are very simple and the printer is easy to install. Tablet, laptop and iPhones can all print to this printer with very little effort.

Excellent printer. Prints fast and the wireless part is great and easy to install and download on your computer and/or phone.

Excellent printer. For around $100, I get two-sided printing, wireless connectivity and excellent print quality.
