Use these LED Lamps with the Smart Plug

It is so awesome to walk in or out the door with your hands full and just ask google to turn on the lights, or to tell google to turn the light off when you are already cozy in bed. The smart plugs were very eady to set up, The google nest mini is so user friendly. Just remember to not use the switch for the light, it might throw off the voice on and off.

They kept dropping the WiFi connection and were a pain to keep set right. They also list that they work well with Apple HomeKit and they don’t. Not unless you have the C-Reach (sold separately) and even then that is only for the bulbs and not the plug. I also don’t like how in the GE app it has the bulbs and plug in different sections to control.

Just love this product

I bought it to gift my elderly relatives for holidays. They are using Google Assistant to control all the lights and the entire setup just works flawlessly. They are very happy with it. It's very convenient for them to control all the lights just with the voice or a tap on their mobile. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

Recommended

Best value for performance

They function well with voice commands and turning off the switch doesn’t reset them. Very decent bulb if you don’t want to pony up for the Hue system with needed hub and expensive lights. To be fair, Hue is worth the price, but if you don’t want to pay it these lights are a terrific substitute.

So easy to use with the app

I put them in the hallway, and set up my app so they dim at my kids bedtime. They have enough light for midnight bathroom runs, but not the glaring light it used to be. AND I can set one bulb to be brighter than another. So, the light nearer the bedrooms is dimmed, while the one by the kitchen is completely off. The app also let me set times for them to automatically change, so when they dim at bedtime, its a signal to my kids that the day is over. I have also linked them to Google, so I can tell them audibly to turn up/down/on/off. Saying "Hey Google, turn the hallway lights off" is SO much easier when wrangling a toddler! The main thing to be aware of is that the plug is the link between the bulbs and your wifi. And they have a max range of up to 40 feet apart, minus obstructions (wall, floor, furniture, etc). For example, my plug is placed in the room above where my wifi signal originates. Then, one hallway bulb is 20 foot from the plug, and another bulb is 10 feet farther. The farthest bulb would have had difficulty getting signal from the plug at 30 feet with obstructions, but the first bulb bridges that gap, and the signal bounces from one to the next.
