The printer is very easy to set up, simple to use and doesn't take up a lot of desk space. It's quiet and it doesn't seem to be thirsty for ink and scanning documents is easy to do. Printing from my iPhone was also easy to do. I like the feature that allows you set the printer for auto on/off...send a print job to the printer and it turns on and it will turn off automatically after sitting idle for a while. The printer comes with a 3 year warranty. You can add another 2 years, for a small cost, so you'll have, in total, a 5 year warranty. I purchased the CarePak warranty directly from Canon. That way I know, for sure, that the printer is registered with the manufacturer. Best Buy's online ordering was easy and delivery was within a few days. I would highly recommend this printer.

Being rather low-tech, I did have some difficulty setting up the wireless connection to my computer. I have an older operating system, Windows 7, and after much searching and a phone call to Geeks, I finally figured out I had to download all available Microsoft updates to make the computer recognize the printer software. In doing that, it only messed up my computer regarding the auto sleep function. There is no user guide, which I sure could have used. The only instructions included were to "plug in and turn on." It took me a long time to search the Canon site and Google to figure info out for this model. But it all came together after two days of fussing and cussing. Now it works fine and I like it. The B&W text is clear. It is a polite forgiving machine. The lack of 5 stars is because of the difficulty in setup. I am happy for the MegaTank feature and hope it will save money in the long run. /We will see. I still have yet to use the scan and copy functions; and I will probably never use the fax and would probably not dare to try. Thank you, Best Buy staff, for your assistance in choosing this printer.

Very Good Printer, Could Be Improved

This so far has been a good printer. We will have to use it much longer to see if its promised ink efficiency works out. Also, its connection to our WiFi network has been a bit unstable. And it would be nice if its output tray extended automatically. Finally, a separate cassette or tray feed for photo printing would be a great improvement—but we knew that when we chose the MAXIFY GX2020, so bad on us. Back to basics: the output is clean, clear, and quick enough. Color reproduction is fine. On balance this has been a very good printer, reasonably easy to setup and operate, and with clean, clear, streak-free printing.

Pretty Good Printer, Saving On Ink Too

Not sure what people are complaining about here, the printer worked fine for me on initial setup with my internet. (Verizon FiOS)
Only downsides are manual ADF scanning and no wireless faxing, but Dropbox Fax took care of that for me.
I've already printed a good amount of stuff and the ink tanks are still showing full.

I was tired of paying for ink cartridges that lasted a very short time or dried up quickly so I decided to buy a reloadable ink printer. The Canon GX-2020 was easy to set up and from the get go it worked well. It prints both pictures and text extremely well. The big screen is also a huge plus. Highly recommend.

Very good printer. The set up was easy and the directions are clear once you figure out that the small screen in the printer will guide you with the set up. Maybe something written should be included to alert the new owner of that process. I was looking for instructions in the box and I figure it out when the printer was plugged in. “Follow directions in printer screen” would avoid the above mentioned issue.

I do a lot of work on computers & custom technology solutions, editing, web, etc. There is some issues with this printer not user related. I'm having trouble getting it to print everything on one page. It prints on about 1-2 inches of top of the page. It is very slow to cancel, warmup or print. I adjusted papersize & let pc & printer synchronize settings for paper in tray. I did alignment, I did maintenance tests. Certain methods for printing appear to work better than others. On Windows not having luck with it, android phone worked by using app to find file, but sharing from file to printer didn't or printed partials same thing repeatedly like on windows...what I did find is lots of reviews acknowledging their printers are doing this too. I've worked on many printers, they aren't normally this difficult when printer & pc settings match perfectly. One option I could try is hardwiring which I've heard works better, but the purpose of wireless is to not wire for internet everywhere. I'm going to continue looking into testing other settings, hopefully canon fixes their products.

I'm not too happy with the way some of the functions of this computer operate, Aside from the amount of ink that it uses so quickly and other significant problems that I have run into, the best part about this printer is the scanner all other things are questionable not very happy. A less expensive printer gives me better quality with fewer problems upgrading did not turn out so well.

Best inkjet printer I’ve ever owned. Ink is lasting forever. The levels are still basically full after nearly 6 months of use. What a breeze compared to constant complaints from my old printers about ink being low all the time. Never looking back.

So far, so good! First tank printer, so that's new and interesting. Surprisingly easy to set up, and smaller than my previous Canon All-in-one.

Dont buy it or use Best Buy. It doesnt work and Best Buy nor Canon will support the product. Did not work from initial set up. Picked it up instead of shipping to avoid any problems and that was all I had. never again.

From the moment I took it out the box it was giving problems. Kept showing an error message for no reason. Finally it began to work on its own and I literally did nothing. Besides that the printing is not too great - it constantly smears when printing on glossy paper no matter how much I alter the settings. Prints slow. All in all it DOES work - it just takes a lot for it to work properly
