I’ve enjoyed using this lens while doing bird photography. Probably the most fun I’ve had with a lens! Definitely recommend

This is a great telephoto lens for shooting wildlife and the moon. It has all the bells and whistles like all of the other Canon L lenses and a few more. It is a bit pricey but I purchased it with my Best Buy credit card and picked up a lot of bonus points. If you can afford it its a nice lens to add to your camera bag.

What an upgrade! I had a RF 100-400 but found it hard to justify the 500 until it was on sale for $500 less. Images are better and the extra 100mm comes in very handy. Very happy with this purchase. If you are on the fence, do it.

Recently took the lens and my Canon R5 to Blue Springs State Park, Took many photos of manatees in the water up to 200 feet away. The quality and sharpness of this telephoto is amazing. Even the handheld photos were exceptional.

Light weight quality lens producing clear and sharp photos. It's not an inexpensive lens but fortunately it was on sale when I purchased it. I saved for it and it was worth the wait! I am very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic Just got it today and of course I had to try it out even before being completely unpacked. The few pictures that I took were great, nice and sharp as that is want I want. With the 45 mc pixels the enlargements will be Great. The main value is sharp picture without carrying a lot of other lens. I'm more than happy with the lens and if your looking for a great lens this should meet your expectation.

This is a high quality lens that is already helping me on professional jobs. The images are super clear and the stabilization is amazing! This was a great buy!

Value, the sale price made it more affordable versus the regular price. Quality, I am satisfied with images the lens provides. Ease of Use, it takes some practice to handle the lens the way I am comfortable with.

Excellent lens, designed specifically to work with my EOS R5 body. There are many similar type lenses available by "other" makers- and I had one- but the difference is SIGNIFICANT. Worth the $$$

Exquisite lens. Great for just about any daytime outdoor application. Indoor use is challenging due to aperature. However, with current software options available for raw processing, smaller aperatures are much more usable than in the past. Tack sharp, super fast focusing, compact and light. Only concern I have is durability due to primarily plastic construction. Not a thank lake older EF-L lenses. Canon CPS definitely necessary to protect your investment.

eye tracking is amazing. great lens - so many capabilities.

I am using this lens to take shots during my sons' High School football games. Taken from the field, I can get high quality close ups over the entire field. Definitely need a monopod to support the lens though, it gets heavy!

I love this lens! It is fast and sharp. I am very satisfied with the quality of the wildlife photos I have taken with the lens.

I love this lens. I am still getting used to it, haven't gotten to use it much. I have been taking bird photos of small birds about 25' from my house at our bird feeder. The photos are sharp enough that I can photograph a small group of birds and then on PC I can crop the group to one bird and zoom it on it. Photo is still sharp.

Everything you would expect from a Canon L lens. Lens has excellent build quality and fantastic optics. The detachable lens mount makes hand holding the lens much easier.
