Fun movie, just not one of Marvel's best

This one is no different. It follows the same pattern as most of the other Marvel origin movies. It's solid, but because it's so similar to so many other superhero films it's not especially great.

Not Captain Marvel-ous

Personally, I actually fell asleep about midway through and did not feel compelled to go back and watch it to completion. I give it an average rating, though, because my kids enjoyed it.

They were trying hard to introduce a new character into the Uverse of Marvel and really blew this one. Brie has to be on the bottom of the list for actresses and the good news for her is that by being here you can only go up.
