Customers are saying
Customers love the Hydro Series 120mm Liquid Cooling System's excellent cooling performance and ease of installation. Many appreciate its quiet operation and good value for the price. While some users experienced issues with the pump or pre-applied thermal paste, the positive feedback on cooling and ease of use outweighs these concerns. The system's compatibility with various systems is also frequently praised.

Fantastic Cooling for an i7 3820
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After my Cooler Master pump stopped working after 5 years I found out Best Buy had one of these in stock so I bought it. After a nice easy install I now have mid 40's temps on my old i7 3820. Doesn't help that its pretty sexy looking too. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Good cooling for Mini ITX with a few hiccups
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This CPU cooler works well, but the install was a date with Google Search. The backplate didn't seem to fit at first and it required substantial pressure on the screw holes to realize they snap down to fit. There was no explanation for the pump or the fan pins. Long story short the pump has to be plugged into a header that runs at full speed to reach 4200rpm. This can be done via plugging directly into your PSU, or plugging it into the CPU (or SYS) headers and set to full speed in the bios. I plugged mine into SYS at full speed and used the fan on the CPU header. A small naggle is that Corsair should understand the market for this thing and use slightly smaller hoses. Mine hits one of my exhaust fans which is unplugged at the moment. Idle temps are 30c and gaming temps on Ultra with uncapped FPS hit 55c to 60c in games like Doom or Overwatch. Great for small form factor PCs and non-overclocked CPUs.

Solved the problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My grandson has an I7 with 1070 GPU. Running a music editing and recording software in the background while playing games online was causing an extreme heat situation that this cooler and another case fan have solved.

causes safety shutdown
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this to try to silence what sounded like an aircraft engine. well it runs and pumps coolant, at least one hose is very hot and the other is cool. sadly it is not designed for a 10 core cpu in a 4+6 confiuration. 4 cpu and 6 gpu. the cpu is an AMD A8 7600 series APU @95 watts and it gets HOT HOT HOT... i will see if they have a larger cooler and update this later. my guess is it is just too small for the setup i have.. NOTE: i have another very similar setup that has NO issues whatsoever staying cool it is nearly an exact copy of this with temps never going over 30c.

Posted .Hi Chris,
From everything you're saying, it just sounds like a faulty cooler. Please reach out to Best Buy for an exchange if still possible, or contact us if past the return/exchange period: support.corsair.com

Good fan, terrible information
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All of the literature says that this cooler supports AM4 sockets right of the box, that is only technically correct. What it doesn't tell you is that you need to have the original fan "clip" brackets that came with your motherboard, all of the new AM4 processors come with different fan brackets that are NOT supported by this cooler. I had to rebuy the original brackets off of amazon to make this work. It would have been helpful to know this before purchasing.

Test The Pump Before Installing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this cooler 2/XX/2019 and spent about 2 hours installing it. The standoffs, backplate were an easy install but the radiator **CAN ONLY BE MOUNTED AS AN INTAKE**, want to install this as an exhuast? You'll have to have the exhaust fan touching case, with radiator behind it, as there are no nuts to secure radiator fan if you want to mount as exhaust, and I'm not about to superglue it together. I had this thing fully set up and when my PC booted I was hitting 50-60c IDLE. Wowza! Opened Minecraft and it got to 80c within seconds. "That ain't it chief." I thought to myself... so then I felt the pump and the tubes, no noise, no vibration. Tried another fan header. Nada. Spent my day putting this thing in and troubleshooting it... I'm sure, were this working, the temps would be impressive. But I want reliability. I don't trust watercooling enough, especially after recieving a defective one. Best Buy accepted a return, and I went on am-azon and ordered a Dark Rock 4. I'll stick with air cooling for now... but until that gets here, I'm out of a PC. >>> Also! Best Buy is still selling 2017 models of this cooler AS OF FEB. 2019. Perhaps the newer models are more reliable.. but you'll need to order them from Am-azon. If you go to BB store to buy one, check the packaging for a copyright year. Bottom line is... test pump before spending 3 hours installing it.

Looks the part for a nice build
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Standoff's broke with just finger tightening. I took the whole thing off because I thought that the standoff's were made of plastic or balsa wood. I messaged Corsair customer support and created a ticket, after 2 day's I got a response to purchase a new mounting kit for $16.00 + shipping. I messaged back to see if there was a different option because all I needed was one standoff screw and two day's later another response saying the same, pay $16.00 + shipping. All for just one screw and 4-5 day's of wasted time. This was my first ever build, I liked the good reviews of corsair products and actually purchased quite a few things from them for this first build. Needless to say I'll be sending everything back that I can and going with another company. And just to be clear this is just from a customer service standpoint, the products (hopefully most of them) are of good quality but the support behind those products leaves much to be desired.

Cooling fan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m really disappointed in you, Best Buy. I bought my son this item as a gift for Christmas. First of all, you sent a 2011 model of the cooling fan instead of the 2018 model and charged me the price of the newer model. Second, your return policy is ridiculous. I ordered the item in November to assure that it would be here by Christmas. With a 15 day return policy on Christmas items, there is no way it can be returned or exchanged. Thanks a lot for sticking us with an unwanted item.

This looks like incorrect item shipped issue, reviews should be for the product itself. Could you contact Best Buy directly for this to be resolved?

Too hot for comfort
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High Temps when overclocked, thermal throttled often would not recommend. Running i7-9700k at 5 ghz (even thought I'm rated for 5.1ghz) and get 90c temps replaced it for a Noctua NH-D15S and never go past 80c.
