FYI TO ANYONE BUYING THIS PRODUCT: I mistakenly returned this drive because I thought it was defective but that wasnt the case. The issue was I tried pluging it in to my PSU using a cord that already was powered 2 other SSDs. This Crucial SSD requires its own PSU power cable to operate correctly. All in all this is a great drive, nice and fast for gaming however the power draw requirement is a bit of an annoyance.

Great product! Speed and reliability is excellent! Gave new life to my desktop. I would recommend this drive to anyone.

A lot of storage for the money. Worked well, fast!

I purchased this Crucial, model MX500, 4 TB SSD, based on reviews of top performance for a SATA based, 2.5" SSD. The write speed is less than 200 MB/s, and that is while it has faster NAND flash cells (cache) available. I wrote a 461 GB file to it, directly from a Samsung 980 Pro NVMe drive, and it dropped to under 100 MB/s, after filling its cache. This drive should be flirting with SATA's performance design limit. Or at least 300+ MB/s "sustained" write speeds. But under 200 MB/s writes, and then dropping to under 100 MB/s, is poor performance for a drive model from a company like Crucial. Perhaps Crucial changed the NAND fabric in the 4 TB model, accounting for it being a slug, compared to the lower capacity MX500 models that get excellent reviews? If I had purchased this on some auction site, I would have suspected it to be a knockoff (counterfeit). But from Best Buy, it is the genuine article. Crucial just dropped the ball on this 4 TB model. I regret missing my return window. For general use, it is fine. For anything requiring large transfers (large write operations), look elsewhere. This one has 4 TB capacity. I verified it, by actually copying 4 TB worth of files to it, and verifying that all data was good (no corrupted data). But it is like having a swimming pool and using a garden hose to fill it.

Plugged into a Lian Li case with no problems. Slotted in to replace all my hard disks. Happy with the performance.

It is very fast and has plenty of storage. Was easy to setup as well.

Great SSD I high recommend it. It's fast and easy to install. You won't regret your purchase.

Do a lot of production at home on a smaller scale, like (youtube) this works perfect to back everything up and not keep it on my desktop

Haven't had any issues so far and got it for a steal of a steal of a deal so I can't complain. Just be aware this will not be even close to as fast as the m.2 versions just because of the limitations of satea 3.

great speed increase since an update awhile back changed something in windows 10 that cost me alot of speed on traditional hard drives. at the time was a better price than through other online retailers

Solid drive that performs well as secondary internal storage. It's not a M.2 drive but it holds up in SATA performance. Would consider buying another for the same computer were there room...

No issues, I began to store data on it the minute I installed it. Seems nice and fast for loading data\games. I could not find a better price per TB.

This is a great buy and works well with my mac mini. I used an after market hub to add more storage and this ssd was a great fit!

Plugged it into the storage unit for my security system, pushed Format, waited 10 seconds, and it was good to go.

Bought for my son and he was able to downlod all his games and file and still has a ton of room!
