It is relatively easy to clean; you just need to wipe it with a cloth. The nonstick works well. *

It makes restaurant quality waffles (crisp outside and fluffy inside). It is difficult to air dry after washing since only one side can be open at a time. One star deducted since the plastic post on the end broke after several years of use, so I had to buy a new one.
