You can't find a better value for the specs this monitor has. My only complaint is that it's a TN panel, which means the colors aren't quite as good as they could be on a different panel. Other than that, this thing rocks!

Monitor works great with all the gaming features. 1440p, G-sync, with the overclocked 165hz refresh rate is everything you could want in this price range if you have a good PC gaming setup to use with it.

I've had a few monitors in the past, but I usually used them to play on video game consoles so I never had the need for a high refresh rate monitor. I bought this monitor to go with the pc that I built. I've only been blown away by this monitor. I built a pretty beefy gaming rig and this monitors 165hz refresh rate is great!! The picture quality is very good. I didn't have to change any color settings or really any settings other than putting it into "fps" mode and changing the refresh rate to 165 from the default 144. This is an awesome monitor!

    Happy Monitor Bad Shipping

Basically the monitor is amazing and has a good panel especially with the amazing value thanks to GSync availability. Something that you cannot get without paying over $500-600 for. Even more so if you want to have 144hz as well. GSync works nicely, but I do have some problems with flickering and some color banding. However, despite these flaws, I do love using this monitor every day and comparing it to my ASUS VG248QE, it's definitely still a beauty once you do improve the settings quite a bit. So keep that in mind. Great gaming monitor, but does have some good flaws. I'm still knocking down a star because of the shipping hurdles I had to go through. It's taught me to not go for shipping directly to Best Buy's store unless it's already available.

You’re not going to find a GSync, 144hz, 1440p at 24inches cheaper than this. This is the perfect budget monitor. Some models do have color banding issues so make sure it says A05 for minimum color banding

When I bought this monitor I got it for a steal price of 315! Sadly, it had a power surge that almost fried my whole system. The monitor is beautiful and would buy again if they had a monitor in stock for the same price.

Fantastic monitors, in fact I got two. No issue running the refresh rate up to 165hz. Slight color banding even after minor calibration or it would be 5 stars

This monitor is great in many aspects, great 1440p. It requires a beefy computer but with some calibration it compares to most IPS 1440p which cost around double.

    Dell Model: S2417DG

Dell -24" LED QHD G-SYNC Monitor Model: S2417DG I replaced both my desktop and my monitor. The HP Desktop computer I ordered was defective, so I returned it and waited for a replacement that arrived only days before I left on vacation. Therefore, I haven’t tested the monitor as much as I hoped. Best Buy was great about refunding money to match the lower price they offered a week after I purchased this monitor. While the new lower price put my monitor into a lower “range category for their 4 year warranty”, I did not get a new reduced rate. It was well packed and easy to assemble. It is heavier than previous monitors, but I'm sure the quality stand is the reason. A favorite feature is the ability to turn the monitor both vertical & horizontal. It helps to view plug ins and menu buttons. I also appreciate the tiltable and adjustable screen. It came with a diagram, but I downloaded and printed the User Guide to help me with the menu buttons & troubleshooting. I will eventually use a silver sharpie to mark buttons or tape something to the lower right front since the buttons are located on the bottom edge of the screen. Using my Tech Support I called Best Buy regarding some lettering being gray versus black which is difficult to read. I adjusted settings as suggested, but there was no change. I was told it is most likely a Windows 10 issue not a monitor issue. Remote Tech Support cannot see my monitor, only what my computer shows on their monitor. They suggested after I use the monitor for awhile to make a reservation to take to my local Geek Squad to check out and possibly calibrate if needed. I purchased this monitor mainly for MS Office Excel, Word, Internet, e-mail, Photo & Video editing (not gaming). While the monitor has places for both a DisplayPort Cable and HDMI, the Monitor came only with a DisplayPort cable (no HDMI). I went to Best Buy to purchase a HDMI cord, but they recommended I use the Display Port Cable (DP) rather purchase a HDMI. They said DP will gain all aspects of monitor (faster). I subsequently looked up the difference between these cables. Two sites noted: “The downside of DisplayPort is that it doesn't support ethernet data, and the standard doesn't have an audio return channel (I have no idea what this means). However, it is capable of multiple video outputs which means more than one display.” Given that many reviews noted an audio issues on their HP desktop, I plugged my speakers directly into my Dell Monitor and the audio works (I have not tried plugging speakers into my desktop). When my Dell monitor goes into sleep mode it takes longer to wake up than any monitor I’ve previously owned. I’m not sure if this issue is related to my HP Desktop being connected to my Gateway ethernet? Hopefully when I take the monitor to my local BB, I'll find out if there is a setting that will correct this issue.

I have two of these monitors. Both work incredibly well, picture quality is amazing. The system even has its own various preset for visuals. I previously has a 27" of the same model and decided to sell it to a friend so I can have two 24" because the of the Hz capabilities on the 24", picture quality and to have a symmetrical dual monitor setup. I knocked it down a star because I did have an issue for about a week with my first 24" monitor staying in sleep mode, even after turning off the "sleep mode" feature. The problem seemed to have just vanished but it did bother me for a time because I would have to unplug the power cable of the monitor and plug it back in whenever I wanted to use my computer. I bought the first 24" monitor about 3 months ago and I've had the 27" monitor since December of 2018. If you don't mind sacrificing the size of the screen then definitely get the 24"

I would have never guess this was a TN panel. Once calibrated, colors were great, contrast was pretty good. IPS and especially VA panels beat it in this category but definitely better than how TN panels were back in the day. My unit didn't have any backlight bleed or any "glow" that you typically see on IPS panels. 1440p at 24inches means you have great pixel density. Hooking up a console looks great as well. Just make sure to adjust your range to full RGB. As far as reponse time, well you can't get any better than 1ms gtg. All in all i think the 24 is the better option versus the 27inch. Higher pixel density means you can get away with turning down or off anti-aliasing to improve system performance and the smaller sibling is the latest hardware revision. Some users of the 27incher have reported inversion issues, not all but some. I got mine on sale for $400, that's a great price for what you're getting, a high performance gsync monitor with fantastic response time and great color(when calibrated).

I had a very good experience with this monitor. It does up to 165hz with gsync @1440p- all great. Only downside is it is 24in. Not a bad thing, but bigger is better in my opinion. the price point is a bit high also considering you can get a 32-inch with 144hz @ 1440p for about the same price. In summary you will get a great gaming experience if you have the computer power to utilize the frame rate and resolution. However consider other gaming monitors at the same price point if you want to go larger

Was looking at an Asus for $100 more. Decided to get the 24" over the 27" since it can overclock to 165hz. G-Sync is an added bonus with my GTX 1080. Really good colors and brightness also good picture settings. Plenty of adjustment options to get the perfect viewing position. Don't worry about it being a TN instead of an IPS panel, it's hard to tell the difference.

It's a fantastic monitor for the price. 144hz, 2k, 1ms response is great for all gaming needs. The lack of a bezel around the screen is fantastic as well. I'm thinking about getting another one. My only complaint that brings it down a star is the color banding on older games. Its really noticeable, and very distracting when playing something like WoW or SWTOR for example. I haven't noticed the color banding be as distracting on more modern games, however.

Bought this for my son who is a big gamer. This is one of the few affordable monitors with GSYNC. Ended up returning it because the same monitor in 27” was $100 cheaper. Only reason for 4 stars is the price is high!
