This is my 1st time buying a refurbished laptop from Joy Systems through Best Buy. I must say I am enjoying my purchase. It came with Windows 11 already installed and Best Buy added some additional security for free. As for Joy Systems, the laptop I received looked almost brand spanking new except for this tiny white mark on top left corner of my laptop. There were no scratches, smudges, or dings. The screen was protected upon delivery and start up was seemless. I will purchase again

I needed a replacement, because previous laptop was stolen. I consider this an upgrade and totally worth the price. Easy setup and able to get it going in minutes.

So far the computer has worked like a dream. It feels like new, with no visible scratches or dents. The packaging it came in was very secure, and setting it up was easy. My only complaint with the computer is the mouse pad, simply because it is made of multiple buttons that are taking some getting used to. Battery has been great, lasting me an entire school day.

We've only had this laptop for a week, but so far it's working great! It looks absolutely brand new and when I told my daughter that someone else owned it first, she was shocked! I wish the screen was brighter and the sound was louder (yes I'm using 100% brightness & volume but it isn't as good as my older Dell) but that's not the fault of the refurbishing.

I just got this computer about a week ago for my mom and we started getting the "PNP Detected Fatal Error" consistently. The laptop stays on for a few minutes but then eventually blue screens, even before I've done anything. I ran all the updates and haven't installed any software other than Adobe reader and Office 356 Personal. It was also overheating like crazy. Took it into the nearest Best Buy (Tukwila, WA) and had the Geek Squad check it out. Best they could tell, it was multiple critical hardware failures. They recommended I return it, which is what I did. I realize that I probably just got a dud, given that so many other folks purchased this same refurbished model and didn't have any issues-- I always look at the reviews first which is what convinced me to go with this computer since my mom has very simple needs. There's always some element of risk involved when buying refurbished, and it seems like the majority of buyers were satisfied. Just wanted to share my experience as a data point. We ended up buying a one of the value laptops (a Lenovo) that were on sale at that location since we needed something immediately. I will say that the customer service both at Geek Squad (Mira/Meera?) and when processing the return at the front desk was great. Very smooth, kind, and helpful staff.

This laptop is great. I knew when I was researching a laptop that I wanted function over form. The laptop is small and compact which will take some getting used to but is easy to use the setup was super quick. The price was right for which is light personal use. I have two hours of battery life and the power button shows signs of wear, but buying refurbished i expected that. Overall great purchase.

Full disclosure - I hate shopping for computers. I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination. I am simply a businessperson who needs a functioning laptop at a reasonable price. Thank goodness for Best Buy and their wisdom in working with Joy Systems to bring affordable refurbished computers and laptops to Best Buy customers. I had never heard of Joy Systems, but I am a loyal Best Buy customer and I trust their judgement. Then, when I saw that Joy Systems was a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, I had even more confidence in my purchase. So, I purchased a Dell laptop refurbished by Joy Systems from Best Buy. The laptop is only a few years old and the price was truly affordable. It shipped and arrived as expected and was packed well. The laptop was honestly no different from any laptop I have purchased new, except for the awesome price. It is in excellent condition inside and out. In fact, the only difficulty I encountered while setting up my new laptop was finding where I stored my network router password. So, go ahead, buy a refurbished computer and save money.

I bought this laptop for school, and so far, it has worked fine. It arrived earlier than expected, which was great. My first impression was that the laptop came in perfect condition, with no scratches or dents, and looked brand new. The only minor problem was that the 3 key was replaced with a 2, so my keyboard has two 2s; however, it still works fine. The microphone mute button light is also always lit. Other than that, the keyboard works great. It does get overhead and the battery is as to be expected for a refurbished/older laptop model. Everything was working fine, until after about one week after getting the camera stopped working and I haven’t been able to get it working again. Other than that the laptop has been great for school and would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget laptop.

I bought two of these laptops, and one of them works beautifully. I use it for nursing school, so it gets used quite a bit. The other one I have, the hard drive completely shot out. I’ll have to find another laptop for my fiancé. The second laptop shot out a year after purchase.

I needed a laptop that is a lot faster than my previous one, and this one served the purpose I bought it for. Very pleased with its functionality.

Upon opening, it is a very aesthetic looking laptop and feels good to hold. It is not noticeable at all but there are tiny blemishes in the front. The screen also froze immediately during the set up but after resetting, it was fine. The keyboard feels good to type on and is lit up, which is a nice feature. If you're only using it to browse, watch movies, easy and light tasks, the laptop is very satisfactory and doesn't heat up too fast and battery will last. However, If you want to do more, the laptop will heat up very fast and get very hot. As a "office" laptop, it does what it's meant to.

This unit has proven to be an excellent refurbished option from Best Buy. I found better pricing here than at the Dell Refurbished Outlet. Also, the unit the refurb reseller provided actually showed up with a backlit keyboard and touchscreen - two unexpected pluses that are better than the original description. Our remote employee is very happy with the laptop - lightweight, lots of ports, super fast.

I purchased this refurbished laptop due to the great reviews. Apparently, it was refurbished by a company named, JoySystems. When it arrived, it looked brand new. It runs great. No issues. I highly recommend this laptop, or if purchasing a refurbished laptop, the company JoySystems.

I always use Best Buy. Customer service is always great and products also. The computer is great is does everything I need. It’s perfect my business. The size of laptop is perfect for travel. I was able to connect 2 monitors at home with docking station using us c port. Overall excellent experience

Runs hot at times especially when charging or using for extended period. Fan doesnt kick on til is hot. Had a Dell years ago with no problem

Have had the laptop for several days and has met and exceeded my expectations. Though it is refurbished, have had zero issues and am very happy with my laptop and the price I paid for it.
